Can I please have suggestions or recipes for some good holiday treats I can bake, but ones that aren't too hard to cook or prepare? Thanks.

Here is a super easy one you can make in 10 min:

-------Christmas Wreaths--------

*1 Stick Butter
*1 Package Marshmellos
*6 Cups Cornflakes
*1 tsp. Vanilla
*Green Food Coloring
*Red Hots For decorating

------Melt butter and Marshmellos in pan. Then add vanilla, food coloring, and Cornflakes, and mix until well coated. With buttered hands work fast and create circles "wreaths" with mixture. Lay onto wax paper. Decorate with red hots or other candy.

You just have to trust that she won't. There is no gaurentee in any relationship that it won't end. And don't listen to the others that long distance relationships don't work. Many of my friends were in one, including me, and we are all now happily married or engaged.

Hey, it's Siren here...my best bud and I have known each other for 13 years. We're both seniors in high school. All of a sudden, this year, I feel like we just...split. I can't talk to her about the important things in my life the way I can talk to my other friends. Like, a couple of my friends from band and I - well, I guess - bonded one night and I feel like I can talk to them more than I can talk to her, and I've only known them for 2 years. I can talk to them about things like french kissing with pop rocks (just an example, lol) and if I tried to talk to her about it, she'd just go "oh...um, okay," and change the subject or something. She's always been a little less mature than me, I suppose, even if she is a year older than me. But it's never bothered me until now. I want to be able to talk to her about these kinds of things, but I can't, and it's bothering me. Because of it, we're pretty much splitting. It really sucks because we used to be like sisters. She used to know all my secrets. Now only one person does, and it's not her. I wish it was, though. I mean, I miss being able to talk to her about anything. Help if you can?

I am sorry to say that friendships fade over time, especially at this age. I don't know anyone that is still friends with people they knew in elementy school. I have been graduated for 6 years, and I keep in contact with one person from high school. You two are growing into two different people and your intersts are changing. And in the next few years your intersts and goals will change even more drastically. I would continue to be friends as long as you can, but make more time for some new friends that share your intersts.

i have been with my boyfriend for 3 years and i love him so much but just recently, i have been getting close with my sisters boyfriends couin, who is 23 years old and i am 17. we ended up getting closer and closer over the past few weeks and talked every day on the phone and he came over to see me everyday and hang out. then, 2 nights ago, we ended up having sex and we stayed up talking for hours and he told me how he liked me and i told him about how i felt the same way. he knows about my boyfriend and he respects the fact that i have a boyfriend but i don't know what to do because last night he came over to hang out with my sisters boyfriend and he didnt talk to me once. usually he wont talk to me in front of them that much because they would suspect something if we did. but, even when my sisters boyfriend was in the bathroom and what not, he still didn't talk to me. i don't know what to think. what are your thoughts on all this? should i tell him i really care about him? this is the first time ive cared for someone like this besides my boyfriend in a while. but, theres something about this boy. please tell me your thoughts.

Your young and I think this guy took advantage of you. If he really liked you he would ask you to leave your boyfriend. Instead he said that he respects that you have one. That is just an easy out for him, and then he doesn't have to make a commitment.

I also think that you need to break it off with your current boyfriend. If you can so easily give yourself to another, he is not the guy for you, nor is it fair to either of you that you stay together. Maybe you should take a break from boys and decide what you want first before just taking it.

when my Best friend hangs out with me, i can feel open and just my self around her, but when she is around her other frinds, then she is kind of mean and she sort of ignores me. is she a true friend? and if i have been her friend every scince kindergarnden (im in 7th now) how can it be possible to not be her friend? we are so good together! its just she ignores me alot around her other friends. Your friend sounds like a cameleon. She chages herself to fit into the enviorment she is in. I can remember one friend in my past that was just like that. In the end we found that he wasn't a true friend to anyone. As soon as he was away from one person he would make fun of them, but then he would make fun about us to them.

I suggest that you confront your friend, and let her know that she is a completly different person when she is around certian people, and that it hurts your fellings that her, "your friend" treats you badly at those times. If she appologizes, then I would give her another chance. But if she thinks you are crazy, and doesn't even consider it, then things will never change. It's up to you if you want to keep such a friend.

does anyone know how to change the subject buttons on the top of your advice column... like instead of "ask for advice" it could like say, "ask me a question", those things. if someone can tell me wut 2 do 2 change them i'll rate 5s!

You have to know html to make your own layouts, and I think you have to be a paid member to be able to create custom layouts.

I have been working for a company for about a year and a half. Last Christmas time I got a bonus of $20. This year, when I was really depending on that small bit of bonus, I got nothing.

The company recently sent a letter to all of it's employee's scolding us on leaving early. I was one of the people who had left early sometimes. I haven't done it since, but could that affect my Christmas bonus?

I know it isn't that the company can't afford it.

What I'm wondering is what the proper thing for me to do would be. Would it be uncalled for if I asked them about a bonus? I need to call them before Friday about working on Christmas, so should I just ask about my pay on Christmas weekend, and if there will be a bonus at the same time?

Should I just ignore it and decide that they decided to not give me a bonus this year, or treat it as a mistake on their part and ask them about it.

I'm just not sure if I would be out of line in some way if I ask them about a bonus.

A bonus is a gift, and is not required, nor should you expect one. Asking for a bonus would be inappropriate, unless everyone got one but you. It's just $20 dollars, I wouldn't let it bother you too much. Besides, there are still a few days before christmas, you still may get that bonus.

Why would it show him that your desperate? I think a gift is a good idea, and a less intimidating way of telling someone you like them.

It's almost xmas, and I don't have any gifts for my family. And worse of all, I can't go out and get gifts for them because I'm broke. Does anyone have any ideas how I can "make" a gift for my family? Make a bunch of different cookies, and give them all cookie trays. Those always go over big at my house. I am making all my aunts and uncles peanutbutter bon bons for their gifts.

when i finish blow drying my hair straight, i do my make up. After I do my powder for some reason my hair gets really staticky. Is there a way to keep it from getting that way?

I don't think it has anything to do with you make up. My advice would be to get a new conditioner, something with moister. Your staticky hair is a sign that it is too dry, a common problem in the winter.

My house smells really bad.. like dogs. How do i get the smell to go away? I've tried air fresheners like NeutraAir and Febreeze and Oust but none of them seem to work. Is there an INEXPENSIVE way to get my house clean- and fresh-smelling? I'll rate 5's for everyone who tries 2 answer!

Vacum and mop the floor often. That's a start. I don't believe in air fresheners, all they do is cover up a smell for a while, they don't get rid of it. To be honest, I don't know of an inexpensive way to get rid of odors. Having the carpets steam cleaned would help. I use an Ionic Breeze air filter (from the Sharper Image). It's around $250, but for clean air it's worth it. And that's a one time fee, you don't have to buy air filters for it, you just clean the metal rods twice a month. I have a cat and a very dusty apartment. Since getting my Ionic Breeze I have noticed a huge difference. The dust is no longer in the air, and the smells from the cat (like litter) are gone. I have fresh air.

im going up to New York for christmas and new years eve. Me and my friend want to do something awesome for new years eve because its the first year that were able to actually hang out with friends on new years eve, but then thing is we dont know what we want to do.. or what to do lol. what my question is, is does anyone have any ideas on what i can do for new years eve? thanks

If I was in New York for New Years I would deffinetly be in Times Square to watch the ball drop. Get dressed up and go out to a nice dinner beforehand.

So I've been preparing fish a lot lately...but haven't ever had to thaw it. Now I've got to thaw it...and I can't remember the best way to do it. Sound silly? It is. I won't use the microwave...because I just wont. I know my mom usually thaws chicken in a tub of luke-warm water...but does that work effectively with fish? So how should I thaw this thing? Thanks.

The best would to let it thaw in the fridge overnight.

I asked my mother what would be the appropriate age to start seeing a gynocologist. She told me that I don't need to see one for a while (I'm 14). I don't know what she meant by "a while". What would be a good age to start seeing a gynocologist? And, out of curiosity, can they really tell that you've had sex/been fingered/ etc? What is it like going to the gynocologist? I'm quite nervous about even going at all because I hear it's uncomfortable and painful. Can anyone fill me in on your experience and share your knowledge about this?

You really don't need to go until you are 18 or 20 unless you are sexually active, then it is a good idea to go now. Yes it is ocward your first time, but not painful. And even if the gyno could tell wether you have had sex or not, does it matter? She is going to ask you anyway. She is not judging you.

I have this bump on my armpit and my mom says its a razor burn, and i looked it up & it says the bumps can stay for 6 months-1 year. What can I use to try and get rid of it?

It most likely is razor burn like your mom said. Try shaving with a cream, not a gel. And don't use deoderant the same day you shave. It could also be a cyst, my sister gets them all the time. Sit with a hot washcloth under your armpit, it will soften it up. Eventualy it will drain.

I have been going out with my boyfriend for 3 years and I live with him now. Well, he wants a kid really bad and I told him no because I'm almost 20 and we both work at MAC. And, MAC doesn't really pay us good. And obviously, you need money to have a kid. I'm on BC and have been for like 8 months and somehow I lost my pills. I'm organized, and I dont misplace things hardly ever and I think my boyfriend stole them. I'm getting more pills tomorrow but I just KNOW my boyfriend stole them! He hasint talked to me in two days because I accused him of stealing them. Why does he want a freaking kid so bad!? Tell your boyfriend that it is time for him to grow up if he is serious about having a kid. You need to be able to talk out your problems, not just ignore them like a spoiled baby. Not talking because he is mad is extreamly childish. It also means a secure income with money in the bank, and a secure relationship, like a ring on your finger.

If you know of anyone with kids offer to babysit for the weekend and see if your boyfriend is still so gung-ho about having a baby.

Have you even met this boy? How can you be a girlfriend to a complete stanger? Don't start a relationship just because someone else thinks you should. And even if you did decide to date him, how would you even see eachother, you can't even drive. I'd say forget about it.
