Question Posted Thursday December 16 2004, 3:37 pm
I asked my mother what would be the appropriate age to start seeing a gynocologist. She told me that I don't need to see one for a while (I'm 14). I don't know what she meant by "a while". What would be a good age to start seeing a gynocologist? And, out of curiosity, can they really tell that you've had sex/been fingered/ etc? What is it like going to the gynocologist? I'm quite nervous about even going at all because I hear it's uncomfortable and painful. Can anyone fill me in on your experience and share your knowledge about this?

Yes it is ocward your first time, but not painful. And even if the gyno could tell wether you have had sex or not, does it matter? She is going to ask you anyway. She is not judging you.
