Something no one else mentioned is that in the crowd you probably blended in just fine. People seem to be doing grinding more and more nowadays. "Dirty dancing" is getting really popular. I don't think people would think less of you because hell, they were probably doing it themselves too! Nah man, it's just dancing anyways.

Q: Am I the only one alive who thinks it's terrible that kids (13-16) are having sex? I'm only 18, but when I was 13, I was riding my bike and doing karate, not giving blowjobs on the school bus. But thats the norm now, and if you haven't had sex by the time you're 17, you must be ugly or way religeous. What on earth!? Am I the only one disgusted by this trend?

People should have sex when they feel ready. Unfortunately, in this day and age these people are getting younger and younger. What can you do? :\

Q: I'm usually an opinionated person. If the class is talking about something, I usually state my opnion even if I'm not asked. One of my teachers said that people shouldn't give their opinons if it isn't asked for. Is that true?

I think it's that maybe it all depends and he/she doesn't want to devote class time to debating every single little thing. You can state your opinion when not asked but see if it's an appropriate time and topic to talk.

Q: So, the other day I was getting my nails done and the woman was from a different country - she was asian, which is really common...but she said something and I COULD not understand her at alll. I asked a few times, "What? I dont understand." But she got kind of mad and I felt terrible because she was obviously trying really hard. She repeated herself like 8 times and I still did not understand. Just wondering what I should do in the future? Is there some kind of etiquette you should use when getting your nails done?

I think she should have understood that you did not understand her. Perhaps beforehand, you should ask for someone who can speak English better. Tell her to put it into other words too. Or, ask someone else in the salon to "translate". I don't know what she could have been saying to you. Maybe she was just making conversation. Or she could have been asking you if you wanted your nails done a certain way or some nail-related question. I wouldn't know because I never got a manicure, but if you know from other experiences what the person doing your nails usually asks you, maybe you could somehow guess what she was saying.

Q: I like people who talk alot because I enjoy listening to what they have to say. Also, the more talking they do, the less you have to do. However, for some reason, some people don't like people who talk all the time, and i can't imagine why. As long as they don't talk only about themselves (and they're good listeners) then I don't see what the problem is. To me, they seem like good conversationalists and are the type of people you'd want to hang out with. They're good entertainers who always have something to say. Since some people disagree, I want to know, is it really better to be a person who talks all the time, or not? Thanks
|

I agree! Sometimes perhaps people are just attention-whores and want to talk themselves and are impatiently waiting for the other's person turn to end so they can start or something. Or the topic at hand does not interest them. In groups, it may be that people think talkative people may hog the spotlight too much and it doesn't give a chance for people who don't speak up as much to try to chime in. In the end, I think it is better to talk than not to talk so people know you better.

Q: i'm 15, my bf is 14.
my boyfriend is always flirting with other girls.
i tried to ignore it for a while, but i just couldn't ignore it anymore.
so i told him that it annoyed me when he flirted with other girls, and especially in front of me. he said that he doesn't really think he is flirting with them, he just thinks he is being nice, or friendly or something.
i said that's ok but just don't go too far, you know.
the other day he told me he used to have crush on one of my friends.
she is pretty and popular and really nice. everyone else thinks this too, and i don't like that he used to like her.
this is because he still flirts with her, even when i am around.
he says that he doesn't like her anymore, but i just can't think that.
i think that because he always flirts with everyone else, that he doesn't really like me. he says that i am beautiful and that he loves me so much, but it doesn't feel like that....
i love him too, but sometimes it's just so frustrating...
can someone please help me how to deal with this

Some people are just really open and flirty, nice to everyone, "the go-to guy" like that, I've known people like that and I've seen people like that. That is their nature and if what they do is misconstrued as flirting or maybe is flirting.. the bottom line is that you just have to be secure with yourself and trust your boyfriend. Confront him if you have further doubts. In short, you have already notified him of your feelings. If he keeps on disrepecting you like that, it's time to re-evaluate your relationship.

Q: I needed an inexpensive/free gift for my friend and finally just decided on a CD - also she said this was something she might want.
I decided to make a CD covering a lot of different genres. I'm positive she will like this- just trust me - and so I need to know what different genres to include. The CD will hold 80 minutes, and as much as I would like to include EVERY genre...I obviously cannot. I would like one song for each genre as representation. Here's what I have so far:
Ska
Hardcore
Alternative
Indie
Techno
Country
Rap
Hip-hop
Screamo
Emo
Powerpop
I know I'm missing a LOT of genres...please help me fill in the gaps and also PLEASE reccomend songs that would be good. Thanks oodles!!

Here you go:
http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Music_genres
or
http://www.artistspages.org/english-songs.htm
Yeah the "main" genres I usually can think of off the top of my head are:
- Rock/Alternative/Indie
- Country
- Techno/Disco
- Rap/Hip Hop/R&B
- Jazz, Blues
- Pop
There are so many subgenres.. like for rock if you want to get specific there is heavy metal, death metal, punk, emo, screamo, glam rock, progressive rock, etc.
Or two genres combined to another like ska is punk and jazz, sort of.
So depending on how specific you wanna be with the genres you can do it! I'm sure she will love your mix CD!

Q: on my old computer(dont remember what kind) there was a game were you were a guy and there was a hallway of doors. and you had to open the door and use the object inside to escape the castle. all i remember was you had to use a mirror to read a letter but thats it. if anyone knows the name and where i can play it that would make me happy :]

I think I know what you are talking about, but I don't remember the name either. Those sorts of games can be called "point-and-click games" or like "room escape" games if that helps. You can use those search terms along with "castle". They're the best! I can recommend another game if you are interested: "Mystery of Time and Space (MOTAS)" http://www.albartus.com/motas/

Q: OH MY GOSH. Alright so I tried waxing down there because I absolutely hate hair, and it was terrible pain. I don't like shaving because it gets itchy and they grow back in like two seconds. How can i get it to hurt less, or like numb it or something. I mean it's terrible pain. I'll take any advice I can get. Thanks soo much (:

For sensitive areas, take an advil an hour beforehand. Don't wax when you have your period or a few days before if you know when you're gonna have it because it'll hurt even more. You might want to get a professional brazilian wax, but some places spray some lidocaine to help numb the area. You can also buy smoothing lotions drug stores or wherever probably sell next to waxing kits. Check your local aisle. Also, make sure the hair is around 1/4 to 1/2 inches long because shorter hair is harder to grab at and hurts more.

Q: My boyfriend wants money for Christmas so he can save up for an XBOX 360. Instead of tossing a card at him with money in it, I wanted to get him one of those trick money boxes where you tape all the money together in one long strand and the person pulls it out. Does anyone know what I am talking about? If so, where can I find one? Any suggestions on how to make one myself?

Your question is so adorable!
There are some good suggestions on how to give money as a gift here: http://www.ehow.com/how_1719_give-money-gift.html
Also, I read this:
Tissue Box - Tape dollar bills end to end and fold them in an accordion style. Put this in an empty tissue box, with a tissue taped to the last dollar. When the tissue is pulled out of the box, the strip of dollars will come out in a long string.
Is that what you're looking for?
Maybe here:
http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/crafts/msg1223455318171.html
I saw a book at Michaels about a bunch of ways to fold money . That was neat ! I also want to give some kids money for Christmas and I saw this Gizmo ( I can make for nothing ) it's just a box with a slot in it -- you tape the curency end to end and they pull it out like one long paper. I KNOW I can make something better . That's what I'm doing this year .
The only one I can remember is taping the $$ to a long piece of string. Make a slit in the top of a shoe box. Put the money & string in the box and leave a little string hanging out of the slit the recipient will have to pull & pull to get the "treasure."
I did this for a neighbor's child's birthday gift, but you could adapt it. I took a shoe box, but a slit in the lid. Taped $1 bills together, included some of the Sunday comic strips, some wrapping paper strips, etc. and taped the beginning to the outside of the shoe box (it was wrapped appropriately). So when Nick started pulling the strip, he kept pulling and pulling and finally came to the good stuff, the money.
Or even:
http://www.helium.com/tm/728284/parents-their-still-stuff
Money Box - Get a small rectangular Kleenex box. Remove all the tissues. Buy some play money and glue it to the outside, covering it completely. Get as many dollar bills as you want (I like to use a lot of smaller bills versus a few big ones). Tape all the bills together, end to end, using a small piece of tape. At this point, you made need to enlarge the hole on the top of the box. Roll the bills up and stick them inside the box, pulling the first one out of the top. This is my dad's favorite! The look on his face as he kept pulling bills out of the box was priceless.

Applebottoms jeans! They emphasize and accentuate a cute butt! Except they are a tad on the expensive side, but good jeans go a long way. There are some $20 finds here, however: http://shop.applebottoms.com/nshop/product.php?view=listing&groupName=Jeans&dept=§ion=shopwomen&page=1&category=Jeans

Ohh was your question about the rainbow text for AIM? Yeah, I've been trying to find out how to do that with the new version of AIM and nothing is working for me. Q: I have lots of acne on my forehead, and my skin is also very unusually oily, so im going to the dermatologist this month. I dont leave the house without foundation and powder and stuff becuase my skin is so horrible. If you have an ULTA near you or at your local mall if they sell i.d. bareMinerals products, try it. The powder is light on your face and you don't even feel or look like you have anything heavy on! Their products leave you looking very natural and fresh-faced.

Q: I feel really embarrassed, he was drunk so his friends took advantage and dared him to ask me out and I said no at first, but said yes in the end.
I'm not upset or anything, actually I'm kind of relieved I ended up regretting say yes but I don't think I've ever been this embarrassed in my life. And I've had A LOT of embarrassing moments.
What the worst part is though, he was like to me "I didn't actually remember, my friend mentioned it to me just then...he thought I should know in case you...well you know."
And now everyone keeps asking me how me and him are going, and all this crap.
So, my question is: How can I help overcome this embarrassment? And how do I tell everyone he asked me out as a joke? I mean, this just makes things ten times more embarrassing...

Man, I feel for you. Maybe you can do this:
You can always say you said "yes" to him as a joke too and be like "oh we're doing great even though we're not actually together!" and joke some more.
