My name is Teza.. short for Tereza. I was born in Croatia and I speak more than one language. I'm 22 years old & I completed 2 college degrees in 3 years. My a bachelors is in Business Administration concentration in Human Resources and my Masters degree is also in HR.



I started this advice column about 9years ago and I was so young but it was something that I always loved to do. I am trying to get back to answering questions, at least a few per day. With that said, if you have questions about school, friends, make up, etc., feel free to ask.

I have found myself snapping at people calling them complete morons and other such insults. I do it when I am frustrated or even slightly annoyed. I have no patience for anyone it seems. Later on I regret saying such things. I've said these things to friends and family, and even my boyfriend ,whom I adore. But when the moment hits me it seems I can't prevent the waspish comments from bursting out. How do I explain to these people why I say such things? I've hurt their feeling and it really upsets me. I don't mean to be mean. It seems i just can't help it.

Gosh I know how that is! Tell them exacly that! Tell them that you didnt mean any of those things and that you have been going through a lot of mood changes. Let them know it was only because you had a bad day or something.. Sorry if not much help! x0 ` __

This guy seemed to like me for a while and so i made a move by subtlely flirting with him. thing is-i ended up falling head over heals for him. everytime i'd see him...my friends would make a really big deal-almost everyone knew i liked him...but after that he started to stop smiling the way he did...and now we don't talk or wave or smile...what happened?

Not to be rude or anything but when he found out that you liked him maybe he got a lil scared. He might of not felt the same way about you or had those feeling for you like the feelings you have for him. Thats my guess .. You could try talking to him and let him know how you feel. Everyone else probablly found out that you liked him before you did. Just stay good friends and maybe you guys could take it to the next level .. x0 ` __

I have a problem with boys, none of them like me. If one of my friend's tells a boy I like them they pretend to gag and stuff. Well I was at a dance and there was this really hot boy and my friend asked him to dance with me and he said no so my other friend asked him and he said I have a girlfriend as an excuse to not make me feel upset. What can I do to get boys to like me?

I`m not sure theres anything that you can make some one like you. Be yourself and just be who you are and if those boys dont like it then they are lame! Just have fun with your friends and you dont need a guy to make you happy! If you really want them to like you then maybe you could just change your style a bit. Get a new outfit get a haircut and wear some make-up! Thats if you want! It would make you feel good about yourself and your physical apperence will be very pretty! Im not saying you are ugly or anything because I dont know you! l0l ! x0 ` __

My parents know that I want to listen to Green day and Bowling for soup and a large variety of other music bands, but won't let me. I'm 13, but they prolly think it's too young. How can I convince them that I enjoy music and am missing out on a lot without it?? And besides-I should be entitled to what they had.

Omg! Just talk to them one more time. Tell them to acually listen to the lyrics of those bands like Simple Plan and stuff because it acually means something. There is nothing bad about it! Hope they understand! x0 ` __

hey! okay, today i went tanning for the frist time. i went in a medium ed for 10 minutes, and used the special lotion they give you. i came home tonight, more than 6 hours later, and took a shower. just one certain spot on me is red, actually 2. it's normally where i get sunburn. could i have possibly gotten sunburn , or is it like an allergic reaction to the lotion? i don't think it's the lotion, since wouldn't i have gotten taht all over my body? just wondering if it is sunburn how can i prevent it next time and put anything on it to make it go away? thanks!

Its not the lotion because you would have a rash but you did get sunburn and its normal. It will go away in a few days and it wont be red! x0 ` __

Ok well i came on a trip to my cuzins house and i met his friend Robie well Robie is very cute and now i am going out wit him.Well that is all good and all for while i am here but ten again i live in California and he lives in Oklahoma. Aw well you never know if this long distance relationship would work. Thers chances it will and not. While you are there with him spend a l0t of time together. Are you thinking of moving back there only because he lives there or ? If you are then I dont know if its worth it. If you really love living in Cali and want to move because of a guy then thats just not right. You would miss all of your friends and everything. But then again that isnt really up to me. Thats just my opinion. If you think you will be happier there then go ahead. You both could try to make your long distance relation ship work. Talk on the phone, AIM , or how ever. There is this guy that I have been friends with for a little while at school. We went to a frat party together and were dancing and having fun. Yes we were both slighty inebriated but thats besides the point. I kind of like him and when we were dancing he kissed me and we made out for a little bit. I don't know what to think of it because I kind of have feelings for him. We have been hanging out and flirting but haven't kissed again. He did make some comments like, you looked really good tonight but only on AIM. Is he just really shy or do you think it was just a random drunk thing?

My 'friend' is ruining my life!!!!!!! She talks crap on me and ALL of my other good friends all the time! She spreads rumors that arent true! She is a SLUT and she is pround of it! You just can't stop her she is like this bug you just can't kill and I don't know what to do! What can I do to make her stop doing this?!?! She has new friends now, and I know she is going to ruin their lives as well. I dont want them going through the pain I went through because of her. THey say they don't like her at all, but they still are nice to her and hang around her. Haha what a loster! Tell her new friends before she does it. Make sure they know how she really is. If she wont stop doing it to you tell the school counslor to swich her to different classes or whatever. But the counslor will do something about it. Sorry if not much help! x0

Hi, what I will address won't mainly be asking for advice, but for the input of the columnists on advicenators on a very controversial issue of morals against faith in the latter of sex.

I know that among some religions that premarital sex is sinful and highly prohibited without any exceptions, but what are your opinions?

I myself am a Catholic-Christan, and believed in the "sex until marriage" thing when I was together with my boyfriend. But as we got to know each other over the years, we got into intellectual conversations about this topic and if it's argument is valid and reasonable. I'm not saying that our relationship prompted a shift in mindset on this issue, but knowing him and being with him for so many years along with witnessing other married couples made me think about this a little more thoroughly.

I started to think about it as I grew older, and I began to feel differently. The divorce rate in the U.S. is at an amazingly high rate, and more couples are breaking it off even after saving the sex until marriage "policy". On some occasions I even think that these breakoffs are due to the quality of the sex. If the sex isn't good, usually lovers leave and commit infidelity. Unless the couple is really committed to one another, they will keep trying to make the sex work out.

The way I think about this scenario now is that I believe that it is acceptable to have sex before marriage, under certain circumstances. Because a couple must establish that intellectual intimate bond with commitment, devotion, loyalty, etc. Even then does that take years to accomplish, and the time spent shows respect to each other that both partners are willing to stick it out this long and wait for each other to take action that is of great importance. Also after all that is done, the relationship goes to the next level in the stage of sex. Having sex before marriage lets the couple know how how much they really love each other and how much they are willing to commit to each other. In a sense it tests us on how much we value sex and what factor it plays in our life. And if we don't pass the test in avoiding adultery, it was never meant to be with that person, so how can a couple get married if sex and passion got the best of them to steer them toward someone else?

To conclude, although you could say I'm going against my religion, it doesn't mean that I don't have faith. A lot of the "rules" that we have to abide by sometimes do seem unreasonable, in order to understand love and all the goodness that it brings, I really don't think marriage is enough to keep someone faithful.

In no ways am I encouraging premarital sex, especially on advicenators with teeny-boppers running around having sex with their semi-erect penises, but what I am saying is that before sex comes commitment, loyalty, devotion, understanding, civility, and vice versa. But I do believe that before marriage comes sex. Why because marriage is the highest level that a couple can go through to show their love toward one another for all of eternity, and how can you reach the highest level without sharing everything of yourself to your soulmate, including your most prized possession?

I apologize if I come off a little bias, but that isn't my intention at all. I'm not promoting anything, nor am I objectifying "sex before marriage." Those couples who are able to succeed through this lifestyle, I admire you, I really do. Especially in a society that is centered around sex nowadays. But I would like to know the opinions of others to better understand this controversial subject.

o0 wow! I dont think that it's a sin to have sex before marrige. I am Catholic but that isnt really a sin to me. I mean its just something that 2 people in love are willing to do. I agree on what you said tho. I may not understand everything that you said but I get most of it. You are right tho because sometimes when a couple has sex and if its not soo good then they might wanna leave each other. Its really stupid but thats how some people are. If you wait until you get married and if its like that then .. I mean whats the point of getting married. Sex isnt a sin its just that you shouldnt do it while you are still young. I have a friend and she bosses me around. Sometimes she talks to me in a mean way. Once she asked my why I was talking in a negative voice. I hate that because she acts like she is my mom. UGH !! i hate my eyes ! i have single eyelids and my eyes are pretty small . i already use eyeliner on my top lid as well as some mascara to "open" up my eyes a bit .. do you know any other ways to make my eyes seem larger ?
oh and does waxing ur legs hurt ? i'm planning on buying the use-at-home waxing kits instead of shaving

Use eyeliner on the bottom on your eye lid and use a good mascara that separates your eye lashes so they seem longer. The first time you wax your legs it will hurt but it wont once you get used to it

i have curly shoulder lenghth brown hair and i strighten it everyday .. whats the quieckest way to do so? i rate high

When you get out of the shower blow dry your hair so its not so curly. My hair is curly too so the easiest way for me to do it is putting it in sections. I usually put it in 3 sections. Do the bottom then the middle and then top. Its easier and it straightens better. x0

I'm going to a banquet later this week and I got my outfit today, but the thing is, I have no idea what to do for my hair or make-up. Just something simple, but cute Any ideas?

Sometimes when you go to formal things like that you would want to leave your hair down and curl it. If you dont want to curl all of it then curl some peices of it maybe not your whole hair. You could also put it half way up and then curl it. For your make up you could go all natrual. Wear eyeliner,mascara and for eyeshadow go for a tan color. Nothing too bright or dark. x0
