I'm going to a banquet later this week and I got my outfit today, but the thing is, I have no idea what to do for my hair or make-up. Just something simple, but cute Any ideas?
(My hair is about shoulder-length and I'm wearing a white tanktop with a cute yellow sweater over it.)

Well, you could do an up-do with curly pieces hanging down. Or half up half down with curly pieces hanging down. (curling iron) For make-up..a cool thing you can do is...go to a department store in your mall, then go to a make-up counter..and they will actually do your makeup for free!! Yep...they want you to buy something after...but you don't have to! I swear! lol.

well being im a guy i have no idea about makeup, but i can tell you what you could do with your hair based on what i like.
on shorter hair like a little less than shoulder length i like the bottoms just flipped out a bit
but being that this sounds like a more formal occasion, id go with one of my favorite things on girls... soft long curls

Im thinking French Braids that will look very cute now about the makeup , your gonna want a natural look, light coating of mascara, pink eye shadow or white, if you decide to wear eye liner VERY LIGHT dont go over board, and of coarse a cute light coat of lip gloss. Your gonna look great.

Natural looking makeup is good.
And if your hair is curly/wavy you could straighten it or if it's the other way round then you could curl it or put it in a bun or something :)

I'd recommend a cute ponytail or just leaving it down [straight or a little wavy.
For the makeup I'd say do something "springy", very natural, like a pink or clear lipgloss along with maybe a little eyeliner or mascara. [Foundation will help your natural glow come out a tad also!]

Where cream colours or gold, dont over to did because it will just look tacky! just put a bit of cream or foundation on and a bit of eye linder and then your fine.
You could tye your hair in a bun or curl it! or even put it in a french plait.

Sometimes when you go to formal things like that you would want to leave your hair down and curl it. If you dont want to curl all of it then curl some peices of it maybe not your whole hair. You could also put it half way up and then curl it. For your make up you could go all natrual. Wear eyeliner,mascara and for eyeshadow go for a tan color. Nothing too bright or dark. x0

Hey well i would curl your hair or straighten it. Wear eye liner mascara and put any color eye shadow light yellow or crystal white.. anything that maches your eyes.. gloss your lips and your good to go.

Last time I went to a formal function, I simply curled my hair with a curling iron. My hair is a little past my shoulders and very straight, so it added a lot of body. It made me look...less boring...I also suggest a lot of mousse if your hair is straight and lifeless.
If your skin is less than perfect, try a liquid concealer. After you apply your foundation, use loose powder instead of pressed powder. Loose powder comes in the round containers with screw off lids. Pressed powder comes in the compact. The difference is that loose powder sticks to your foundation better after it is initially applied. Pressed powder is for later in the evening, when you go to the bathroom and notice that your face is all shiny.
And don't be too heavy handed with your blush and eye make-up. Otherwise you might end up looking like a make-up kit exploded in your face :P
