I'm having trouble sleeping, it feels like I'm never tired, and when I am, I still can't fall asleep. I'm not having nightmares, or scary thoughts, I'm just not being able to sleep. Like I'll shut my eyes for over 3 hours, and still be awake, and it's really annoying. Any ideas what wrong????? Oh and by the way my bed and pillow are comfortable, so thats not a problem either. Thanks!
How much exercise do you get during the day? Try doing more exercise. Any exercise you like will do. (Don't do this if you already get a lot of exercise.)
Avoid caffeine and sugar (except for fruit), especially after 4 in the afternoon or so.
If you can help it, don't use the computer in the evening. Read a book instead.
Drinking milk may also help you fall asleep (unless you're lactose intolerant - don't drink milk if that's the case).
If the problem persists, you might need medical help. View Question
if you have a ipod with a few songs on it from a different computer, can you add songs from another computer without deleating the songs already on it. if so how
Connect the iPod to the computer, open iTunes, click the name of your iPod, and make sure that the box next to "Manually manage music" is checked.
WARNING: if you don't already have "Manually manage music" checked for the iPod, opening iTunes may overwrite ALL the contents of your iPod, so do this on the computer on which you originally added the music to the iPod if possible.
Now, on the other computer, open iTunes, and you should be able to see the name of your iPod on the left. Look for the songs you want in iTunes and drag them into the iPod. View Question
how do i take music off my ipod that isnt saved to my computer and put them on my computer?
Connect the iPod to the computer, open iTunes, click the name of your iPod, and make sure that the boxes next to "Manually manage music" and "Enable disk" are checked.
WARNING: if you don't already have "Manually manage music" checked for the iPod, opening iTunes may overwrite the contents of your iPod, so do this on the computer on which you originally added the music if possible.
Now, on the other computer, go to "My Computer", and you should see your iPod. (If you are NOT using Windows, look for the iPod as you would look for any removable drive.) Click it and you should see a folder called "iPod_Control". (If not, Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders > Click "OK".) Look for the song you want and copy to the computer. What does GQ mean? I guess it has something to do with looking profesional because my brother struck a pose and people said it was his gq pose, and my other brother went to prom and they said he looked gq.
It's a fashion magazine.

I want to get the Biore Triple Action Astringent, but it says it tightens pores, and is that the same as minimizing?
or should I also get some sort of pore minimizing refining exfolitar from biore too?
Yes, that is the same as minimising, so you don't really need the exfoliator on top of that unless you find that it doesn't work well. Try not to use too many products because it can irritate your skin. View Question
Do meals made in slow cookers use a lot of electricity when they cook for 8-10 hours?
If you need to have it on for 8-10 hours, then obviously the electricity use will add up. Check the power rating of your cooker to see how much it uses. If you don't have the user's manual, check the vendor's website. View Question
Is salt water good for getting rid of blackheads and pimples?
Any other good home remedies to get rid of them?
thanks
I wouldn't recommend using salt water on your skin because it will dry your skin out.
You're better off getting any kind of acne treatment gel that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. It doesn't matter what brand, so just look through the ones they have at the pharmacy.
Make sure you wash your face frequently to remove excess oils. It also helps to moisturise regularly so that your face will produce less oil. View Question
This may be irrelevant, but I am 15/F. Anyway, a guy I work with is going to pierce my cartilage for me with a 16 gauge needle (I really don't know what that means), so I guess it is fine because he has done a LOT of piercings before, even some of his own... I am just worried because he does drugs (which I can live with because a lot of people do) but the biggest reason for my skepticism is that he is 16. Age is just a number but is this a cause for worry? Or should I just relax? Also, please remeber this is my cartilage he is piercing and it is said that the cartilage is more suceptable to infection than the earlobes and this guy is piercing my ear with a professional needle but at his house. So, should I go through with it? Thanks in advance.
The gauge of the needle refers to its size. For more information, look here: http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Gauge
You are right in that cartilage is more susceptible to infection than the earlobes. If you really want to get pierced, you are best off getting pierced by a professional.
However, a professional might not do the piercing for you because you're under 18, because it is a big decision and it is generally against regulations for them to do it for a minor. (Laws may vary depending on where you live.)
Are you sure you want the piercing? Really think about it. You'll have to take care of it to make sure it doesn't get infected. Also, you might think it looks cool now, but it'll be there for a long time. While it is possible to take out the jewellery and let the piercing heal, it can cause scarring.
I would recommend against doing so, but if you really want to go through with letting your friend do the piercing for you, please at least make sure that:
- he is using the proper equipment and that it is properly sterilised (preferably, a newly opened disposable needle).
- he has no open wounds on his hands (because if he has any wounds then there is the risk of contamination)
- he hasn't taken any drugs right before doing your piercing (don't risk getting pierced by someone in an altered state of mind). View Question
Hey, I was just wondering if there is a way to save a video from someone else`s page on facebook. Some of my ex-friends made a harassing video of me and my new friends, and I would love to keep it for future reference. Thanks!
Install this Firefox plugin:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2254
After you've done that, go to the page with the video you want and click the UnPlug button. It will give you a page with the relevant links. The video should be in .flv format. You can open that with a program called "FLV Player", which you can download at this page: http://www.martijndevisser.com/blog/article/flv-player-updated View Question
i was wondering what simple hair styles are in that i could do i loove loove loove that hump everyone does even different ways to scrunch your hair or whatever i wear my hair the same everyday just about its so boring helppp thankksss websites would be nicee
You can braid your hair if it's long enough.
Instead of tying all your hair together, try tying it into smaller strands instead.
Also try tying your hair up (or just part of it) and then clipping it to your head so that it's upside-down. You can get a fairly dramatic effect, and it's simpler than it looks.

Can you change the name of your college major a little bit on a resume? Technically, my major is "Hotel and Restaurant Management"..but I just wanna put "Hotel Management" on my resume.
Is that illegal, misleading, or anything bad?
According to Wikipedia, it is illegal to lie on a résumé.
Chances are that you are unlikely to get caught unless you try to misrepresent yourself in something that involves registration / a professional licence, but note that just one word can make a significant difference to what the major is.
Consider whether there is a major with the other name available. That is, can people actually major in "Hotel Management" as opposed to "Hotel and Restaurant Management" in your college? If yes, then definitely don't try to change the name. If no, I doubt that changing "Hotel and Restaurant Management" to "Hotel Management" will be too much of a problem, but I still wouldn't recommend it. View Question
You know how yahoo has an answer section? Well, i was looking at this question...and there was this person who answered that question, and i want to ask that person a question, so do you know how to message that person? I couldn't find it, and their email wasn't shown.
Click the person's name. It should link you to the person's profile. See if the user allows email or IM. If not, there should be still be a link that says "add to my contacts". If you add this person to your contacts, it will notify the user that you have added them, and they will probably be able to respond to that and then you can ask them.
Keep in mind that people on Yahoo Answers often frequent their specific category, so just ask a question to the site and chances are that the person might see it. View Question
The closest college to me is 45 minutes away. I want to go there. There isn't housing, though (it's a 2-year school).
I think I'll end up driving there to class everyday. Is that a stupid decision, considering the cost of gas and spending over an hour driving to and from class?
An hour each way? Lucky you! I have a friend who has to travel an hour and a half on the train in each direction to go to university, not to mention walking another 25 minutes from the train station to the university.
The main thing you need to consider is whether you can afford it. If you can afford it and you want to go, you should go.
If there is public transport available, you might want to take that instead so that you can use the travel time to study or just relax.
If you have any choice over your classes, try to arrange your timetable so that you don't have to go every day of the week. View Question
I'm grounded for a long time. I can't leave and go anywhere... what are some good ideas for things to do to occupy me from the time i wake up to go to sleep?
If you can ask this question then I assume that you're allowed to use the computer?
You can always play computer games or surf the Internet. Click this link here http://www.bored.com for some sites that you can visit. These sites are mainly silly humour, but if you're just looking for something to occupy yourself, you can probably spend a lot of time on them.
You can also try drawing pictures or editing your photos. If you don't have an image-editing program, you can download the GIMP for free. Link here: http://www.gimp.org
If you're more interested in reading, Wikipedia is a good place to start. You can find information about almost anything, from celebrities and sports teams to quantum physics. Read up on something that you're interested in.
Project Gutenberg has free e-books if you want to read novels. Link here: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page
See, all this and it's just the computer. Of course, if you're at home you might also watch TV or read books (if you have any). Don't forget to get off your chair to stretch now and then if you're doing something that you do sitting down. View Question
Every time i try to add a photo, i resize it, and everything and it says its too big.
whats going on?
When it says that a file is too big, it means the file size, not the dimensions of the photo.
If your photo is in an uncompressed format (for example, .bmp or .tif), it will have a large file size even if it is a small photo. Change it to a JPEG or a PNG and it will have a smaller file size.
You can do this with any image editing program.
If you don't have one, here's a program specifically for converting BMPs to JPEGs.
http://www.reasoft.com/rea-bmp-change-jpg.shtml
Alternatively, you can download the GIMP at http://www.gimp.org. It allows you to edit image files and also save them as different formats.
If you don't want to download anything, Microsoft Paint will work, but if that's what you're using, save it as a PNG (open the file, go to File > Save As..., and choose PNG in the drop-down box under the place where you put the file name) because JPEGs saved by Paint are usually of a low quality. whats the difference between"hook-up" and "going-out"?
"Going out" can mean either to date someone or just to hang out.
"Hook up" can either mean the same as "going out", or it can be used to refer to making out or sex.
Hint: you can look up definitions of slang terms on http://www.urbandictionary.com/. View Question
i bought an ipod, is there any thing that i should be aware about so i wont make any mistake or something?
like how do i delete songs?
and is using itunes the only way i can sync song into it?
-does it hav a radio?
No, the iPod Nano doesn't have a built-in radio. However, you can buy a radio add-on.
Normally, you delete songs by connecting the iPod to your computer, opening iTunes and then right-clicking on the song that you don't want and choosing delete.
There are ways to add /remove songs without iTunes. For example, you can use the Anapod Explorer, available from http://www.redchairsoftware.com/anapod/.
If you don't like that, there are many others. Just click the search button.

i lost my password for one of my AIM screen names.
and when i try to reset it, it goes to the image verification (when you type the letter and numbers in the weird image) then it goes either entering your email adress or birthday and other information. and then it goes back to the image verification and back to the email, and on and on.
why isn't this working, so i can reset my password?
Make sure you get all the information right.
If you're sure that's not the problem, make sure you have cookies enabled. (Look here for instructions if you don't know how: http://www.google.com/cookies.html) View Question
Hey, I want to get a job at this service station down the road from me, but i'm not sure if I can get a job there because i'm only 16 and my friend said you have to be 18 to work there because you're selling cigarettes, and that's what I thought as well, but then another of my friends said you can still work there...? I live in NSW btw...
Sorry, I'm not really sure.
I think it is probably legal for you to work there because I knew of other people who have worked at supermarket checkouts (which of course, sell cigarettes as well as alcoholic drinks) when they were under 18.
If you know that the service station is looking to hire new people, just ask them about what kind of person they're looking to hire. There's no harm in asking, right? View Question
