Hey, I was just wondering if there is a way to save a video from someone else`s page on facebook. Some of my ex-friends made a harassing video of me and my new friends, and I would love to keep it for future reference. Thanks!
This will find the URL the video is at. If there are more, you'll have to figure out the naming system in the links. In firefox, you can select the area around the video, right click it and then "view selection source", which will be easier. Put this .flv URL(which will be something like http:\facebook.com/videos/stuffandthings.flv) into your browser's address bar and navigate there. Go to "file>save page as..." to save it somewhere. You can then convert this with zamzar: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
or other converters; AVI is a good format to convert it into. Good luck!
(This will work on nearly every other site. For those embedded windows media players, search for .wmv instead, for flash games search for .swf) [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
