Hey I recently dyed my hair black and I was wondering if it will look good with red highlights. I have brown skin. if you have anyother colors that might look good please tell me. not blonde everyone has blonde i wand something different.

Yeah I think black and red would look good, but don't overdo the red because then you might look like a Parcheesi board. Put a red streak in the front, then in the middle here and there, but don't do it too stripey. And other colors that would look good are light pink, blue and white (but just a stripe in the front part -- don't want to look like an old lady! lol). Good luck!

Well, if both of you are sad and depressed, then maybe you guys should get back together and give it another try. Call him or IM him (or if you're feeling brave, talk to him in person) and let him know that you're miserable without him and you're sorry things didn't work out, and if the both of you could give it a try again. If you both broke up for specific problems with both of your personalities, then talk about it and try to work things out. For example, he might think that you are attracting too many guys' attention :). Or you might think he complains too much. Try to peacefully work things out, and take and give constructive criticism (not to be mean, but to help strengthen your relationship). Hopefully everything will work out. Good luck with it! =)

How often should you put on lotion on your face once you have put it on? Like every hour or something? I use it to keep it moist and for it not to peel or get rid of pimples! Thanks!!!

If it is prescription lotion 1-3 times a day. I do not recommend putting it on every hour, otherwise your skin will get oily and greasy. I suggest 2-3 times a day. :)

i just went to the doctor because i was having this problem at night where i cant do anything but breathe (kinda long story)and the doctors said i have someting called absence seizures or something and they said i have to get a "brain scan" or "mri" done..whats an MRI?? i heard that its a big black thing, and im really scared..i feel really uncomfortable with the problem to and i hate it... i dont wanna go to the hospital and stick my head into something...this is really bad, and im 14 and STILL somewhat frightened of the dark!! does anyone know anything to help me?? someone just please say something anything will help! thanks

MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and another name for it is a Cat Scan. What you do is lay on a table, then the table moves slowly (like a treadmill) forward into a tunnel-like capsule. They then take images of whatever part of your body they are examining (in this case, your head). It can either be very short, or a few hours. Sometimes the doctors provide a movie for you to watch during it. MRI's are not scary, but they are very loud, because in the tunnel, magnets are banging together (not against your body; it doesn't hurt at all) to capture images of your body tissue. I suggest, if the doctors allow you, to listen to music on your headphones to drown out some of the sound. You must stay still though, otherwise the pictures will turn out blurry. If you are nervous, and if you are Catholic or something like that, you can frazzle your nerves by saying prayers or the rosary. Don't worry, everything will go fine. I love my boyfriend dearly and everthing and I mean everything is going great and I am as happy as ever. But somehow I just feel like something or someone is gonna break us up...Like somethings gonna keep us apart... It's great that everything is going great, so maybe you feel this way because everything is almost TOO perfect, maybe? Perhaps you think that this is too good to be true? Sometimes when you are in a relationship that is pretty much perfect, you get bored that there isn't anything to do, so you feel as though something might come along and screw it up much too soon. But just relax, and have fun with your boyfriend, and think about your relationship with him with a positive attitude, because if you continue to do so, you will most likely enjoy it. :) Hope everything goes great!

I don't know if your friend is aware of all the horrible consequences she can face, but a boy who wants to have sex with a 14 year old girl isn't interested in her at all, he is just pressuring your friend into doing it because he knows that she is curious, naive, and will give in to him easily. Sex in a non-marriage relationship will change the relationship and make it seem awkward. You can't force your friend to be abstinent, but let her know that if she decides to lose her virginity to this boy, then you aren't helping her out if she gets pregnant or a sexually transmitted disease, or if she moans that her "bf" was just using her. I've had my period for almost 10 months now and it still doesn't come on the same days or "schedule" or whatever. I don't know when I am going to get it, because it's such a bad frequency. I don't want to leak in school, and I'm always scared that I did leak, and I didn't notice, and like people are laughing behind my back. I just don't know what to do. Okay, there's nothing to worry about. Periods can take a long time to form a schedule, sometimes up to about a year! Ask your doctor about when [s]he thinks you are going to get it. Gather clues too: You feel really moody lately, you have terrible cramps in your lower back, upper thighs, and lower abdomens. You just might be expecting it any day now. I'm guessing if you don't wear pads, you either wear tampons or (gasp) nothing. Tell your mom that you got your period and that you want to buy pads (only if you want to; they are easier than tampons.) and if you don't want pads, you can wear tampons along with a panty liner (lighter version of a pad) incase the tampon leaks. You can wear just a panty liner incase you might be expecting your period any day. Keep track of when your period starts and ends, maybe with a calendar (you can mark a single red dot inconspicuously if you don't want other people to see). Maybe -just maybe- you can see some sort of pattern. As for the transportation part, wear cargo pants (match with a cute top and/or belt if you want to look fashionable) or pants with pockets. If you wear a uniform that includes a skirt, wear shorter shorts underneath that have pockets, and put your pads/tampons/panty liners in there. And don't worry about what other people think -- just be confident!

Sorry, but you are going to have to force yourself to not like him. Look at what he has done to his life. He ended up in juvenile hall, he gets high all the time, and he doesn't take the time to remember girls' names. Try to see your future with him: He lies around, does drugs, uses you for sex or money to buy his drugs, and calls you a bitch or hoe. Him getting arrested several times, and landing in jail by the time he turns 18. And who would he expect to bail him out? You. Honestly, that doesn't sound like a good future. Concentrate on a sport like volleyball or soccer or basketball. Join the yearbook committee (who says it's not too late in the year? lol). Single out and think about a guy who isn't like that, and get yourself interested in him. Somebody who is nice and seems like a great guy. I like this site and I goto to this site to try and give helpful advice or even to receive some, why is that people are such jerks on here? They give bad advice or stupid comments to someones advice!! And there will probably be a whole bunch of people who will give a dumb remark to this question! Why do people come an give stupid advice like "go kill yourself" or "your a loser" or some stupid comment! Honestly do these people get a thrill out of making fun of someone ? Yes, I agree with you. People are really dumb on this website, but all you can do is ignore them. The attention people give them eggs them on, so they think that it is hilarious to make dumbass remarks. All you can do is ignore them. Or, if you are a Level II or III moderator, you can suspend or ban them from their username. You are not alone among the anti-dumbasses. Bad grammar and language is only acceptable for rappers. :)

There's this guy at my school that I really like, I'm friends with him and everything. I've asked him out a few times but he said he'll think about it, then he ends up saying no because he thinks I'll use him to make my old boyfriend jealous. I try to tell him I won't, and he stil says no.

Just invite a bunch of people over to watch a movie or something and casually invite him too (make sure he's not the only boy there, that'd be awkward). You can invite your ex boyfriend over too if you are still friends and then you can flirt a little with him, or you can exclude your ex boyfriend if you two aren't friends. Anyway casually invite your crush and say he can bring some of his friends with him. Anyway, don't overflirt with him. Continue being nice to him, but distance yourself some more. Maybe your crush is not interested in you and he is giving clues i.e. saying that you are going to use him if you two become an item. Just explain to him that you choked when he said that but you really do like him, and you're sorry for sending the wrong signals, but that you really are interested. Call him up and say it or Instant Message him if you don't want to do it in person. If you forget than write what you will say on a note (Don't sound robotic when you read it though) and practice saying it. I worry for my fiance because she has reumatoid arthritis, which is very rare for someone her age. Well anyways the medicine they put her on always makes her feel horrible so she doesn't take it and deals with the pain. I'm just worried about the long term effects. I've talked to her about not taking it but she avoids the question. She's sick of seeing doctors so she won't get a second opinion on medicine. How can I help her?

ok, so heres the delio, i had been waitin for this guy to ask me out for 4 months, he had told a bunch of ppl he was gunna and we had been flirting and stuff, well he finally did on halloween, and i said yes , well 3 or 4 days into the relationship he gets in a fight with my friends, see hes christian and he believes no sex beofre marriage and no abortion and that kinda stuff which is what i believe too, but my friend dosnt, and so he called her a prostitue, well i stuck up for my friend, and was pretty much you dont have any right to call her that, you can tell her what she believes is wrong but thats crossing the line, and he got mad and is now ignoring me because i "took their side" over his, he has been ignoring me for the last 5 freakin days! and i have apolgized like 3 times, even though i feel like i did nothing wrong, and today i finally said we either need to fix this or break it off, because i dont want to be in a relationship where my boyfriend ignores me, even though i really really like him, but im sick of it, what should i do? should i try and work things out, or break it off with him?

Well, it's great to see how loyal of a friend you are. But your boyfriend calling her a prostitute is crossing the line. Tell him that you are not sorry at all, that your friend has her own beliefs and is entitled to them. Ignore your boyfriend back. If he comes back to you, then it's your choice to accept him back or not for insulting your girl. Remember, friends last forever, boyfriends during high school usually don't. Good luck! I recently bought some pants at Goodwill and I want to change them to better fit my style. I would like to put inserts into the legs, to make them wider at the bottom. I need some tips on how to sew certain fabrics. Mostly just jean.
I have done it in the past, but did not use a sewing machine, and they ended up just fraying and tearing apart. Now I have a sewing machine, but would like to hear some tips on how to keep the fabrics from fraying and ripping.

I was also wondering if anyone could help me with the seams. I usually sew a long triangle up the side of the pant leg to make them wider, but at the top end, where the triangle comes together, usually ends up in a big bunch of wrinkled fabric.

Do you have any ideas on what color fabrics to put together?
What types of fabrics to put together?
Do you have any other ideas besides just widening the legs?
I do not enjoy the normal low hip flare style that every other single person wears.

Maybe instead of sewing a triangle, you can take out the seams on the outer part of the leg (I'm not sure, because it depends on what kind of fabric you have), snip of a few millimeters on the outside legs, and make whatever shape you want with the pants. Then, you can get this great stuff called Fraycheck. It's like this sticky stuff that you put on the ends of anything to prevent fraying (it dries and becomes like invisible after an hour) You can get Fraycheck at a crafts store or even at some fabric stores or at Jewel Osco or something like that.

It would be cute if you sewed patches on the pants. Just cut out any shapes you want and sew them on. Any fabric goes good with any color too. Just as long as it looks good to you. Maybe instead of widening the legs you can make cut-off pants, or you can cut out shapes in the pants fabric on the legs or something and then put fabric over the shapes (from the inside of the pants, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the shape that you cut out). You can also get some Fabric BlowPens to make cool shapes, you can tydye the pants different colors (that may not look good though) or you can glue small rhinestones or studs to the pants here and there.
