Hey I recently dyed my hair black and I was wondering if it will look good with red highlights. I have brown skin. if you have anyother colors that might look good please tell me. not blonde everyone has blonde i wand something different.

well, im brown and i have really dark hair that looks black adn i have redish brownish highlights and everyone says they look good! so i hope this helps! and if not go to a hair stylist and ask!

dont get bright red. go for a more dark. that will blend with the black a little.

Putting red in your hair would make you look out going, exotic and thats totally the new style.If your not going for blonde red would definately be a great choice!

Yes. But I would pick pink over red. Red is WAY overused. Some girl at my school has green highlights, and it looks great. I would used purple, though.

you could do red low lights but if you were do not get chunks of them, you could do very skinny either really light red or really dark red and get them as natural as possible, because the bigger strips of a differnt color that stands out that you get in your hair the worse it looks.

Yeah I think black and red would look good, but don't overdo the red because then you might look like a Parcheesi board. Put a red streak in the front, then in the middle here and there, but don't do it too stripey. And other colors that would look good are light pink, blue and white (but just a stripe in the front part -- don't want to look like an old lady! lol). Good luck!

Yeah, red looks really good on black hair. Purple looks really funky as well - I know it sounds strange, but honestly it looks cool!

Red would look really cool, or have you thought about possibly adding some wild fushia highlights? It's bold and daring, but definately makes a statement that you aren't afraid to stand out in the crowd and be orginial. There are a lot of cool colors out there that would spice up the look of your hair, and I'm sure it would get you noticed if you feel you blend in too much. Otherwise, if you aren't one to stand out in the crowd, red highlights or maybe a honey color would look great! *Kaylee*

well i heard its pretty hard to get rid of black but red highlights with black hair sounds like a good idea to me, my friend had black hair -» striped her hair to get rid of the black-» then died it a dark burgandy red and at the tips she put black again. and its really cute. so yea the red sounds good with black hair. x0

Red highlights look very good with black hair. My suggestion is to just highlight the frist little "clump" of hair and just dye that red.

Oh yes it will look very good. Ive seen some people (girls) with black hair and red highlights (and brown skin) and it looks really good. Do it! I want to add red highlights to my black hair.....but someone doesnt want me to....:(
