about

I'm Kaylee, a 14 year old blonde (don't be fooled, I'm not dumb! but I do have my moments) with a wild personality most would say. I always have felt like a peacemaker and a good advice person so when my sister told me about this site, I just had to join! If you want to know anything about me, even anything personal, feel free to ask, and remember I'm always here to answer your questions about anything at all. Just so you know a little about me...I'm pretty social and friendly to everyone, and always willing to talk to knew people. I love to dance and sing, and putting myself in other peoples' shoes is no problem, it is something I do daily so I can relate to anyone. I love to watch sports, especially basketball (go Bucks lol). So...feel free to ask for my advice!

14/F. I have to get orthodonic braces in a few weeks and I have a few questions about them. I will rate. Do they hurt? What will happen if I chew gum with them? What color bands would look good with brown hair and brown eyes? Thanks.
I have braces, and well I've had them for over three years. I'll be honest and tell you that they do hurt, especially when you have to go in and get new wires. It really is okay to chew gum with braces, and really the sugarfree gum is best or the gum specially made for people with braces, but if you chew regular gum just make sure that you brush your teeth really well because you may have the problem of the gum sticking to your braces. And for colors of bands..almost anything and everything would look good, i personally suggest a lavender or light blue but really it doesn't matter. If i have a big occasion, like a dance, then i usually coordinate the color to my dress otherwise try not to make them stand out so much. I hope I've helped....*Kaylee*
Hi. I'm a 14 year old girl and I'm confused/frustrated. I hate the fact that my friend always gets the guys. And it doesn't help that she's such a flirt and she has a tendency to lead guys on. I've also tried talking to her about all of this and I tell her how I hate the fact that guys go to her before they come to me. She thinks it's because I'm "too quiet" . Well the only reason I don't speak up is because she's too busy flirting with the guy and I can't get a word in. How do I set myself apart from my friend and if I am "too quiet" then what should I say to a guy when I like him? Any advice? Thanks a bunch!
Well...if you can't get it through to your friend by actually speaking to her, try writing her a note explaining how she is making you feel and try to be reasonable. If you just acuse her without staying calm, she might ignore you. Hopefully, if you get through to her, she'll lay off. Otherwise, I suggest that you aren't around her if you are trying to talk to a guy you like. Maybe hang around another friend (but don't completely ditch your best friend!) or go by yourself. That way, you get more speaking time in and people can see you for who you are instead of labeling you as "too quiet". I hope I've helped...*Kaylee*
Okay, I have a million guy friends...and i like some of them...but I never get a boyfriend or n/e one to ask me to any dances. Granted a lot of guys tell me I'm hott...and they aren't lieing but i never go out with n/e one! My best friend goes out with a lot of people and she can't date until she's 16...yet my parents dont care!! whats wrong with me?!
nothing is wrong with you! i've been in the same situation before. It seems you are what they refer to as always the friend never the girlfriend, and I think it is the fact that you become friends with so many guys, and guys are afraid to cross the line from friendship to relationship. But it's good, because friends are always better, then you'll have support through out your years of school and beyond. So my advice to you is not to focus on it so much, because there is nothing wrong with you, and about your friend, don't worry about her, it seems like you are comparing yourself to her. I'm sure that when there is a guy you like he won't hesitate asking you out, otherwise just keep being friends with all of your other guy friends and don't put any pressure on the situation, that might cause them to shy away instead of possibly stepping up to a relationship. Hope I've helped. *Kaylee*
i like this guy and he kinda likes me but all my friends say hes really bad and they call him pot head and stuff like that. but i dont think hes bad at all. i kissed him at the movies and every one was like eww and stuff like that. but i really like him. what do i do? thanks.
If you really like this guy, do not listen to anyone else! It is always right to trust your heart and instincts, and you should be able to make your own decisions about people. If he's a perfectly cool guy, you could always tell people to lay off or just ignore them, but if you like this guy, go for it, and stop worrying about what other people think. *Kaylee*
Hey I recently dyed my hair black and I was wondering if it will look good with red highlights. I have brown skin. if you have anyother colors that might look good please tell me. not blonde everyone has blonde i wand something different.
Red would look really cool, or have you thought about possibly adding some wild fushia highlights? It's bold and daring, but definately makes a statement that you aren't afraid to stand out in the crowd and be orginial. There are a lot of cool colors out there that would spice up the look of your hair, and I'm sure it would get you noticed if you feel you blend in too much. Otherwise, if you aren't one to stand out in the crowd, red highlights or maybe a honey color would look great! *Kaylee*
well my sister is telling me this one dude that very shy likes me and like me my sis says that he tell her stuff to tell me should i belive her?
Well, is your sister the kind of person that would really do that to you? If she is, then it would be logical to having doubts when it comes to trusting her. But either way, maybe you should spend some time with this guy and talk to him as friends while looking for signs that he might possibly be interested in you. *Kaylee*
ok, my question is...heres the story...i met this guy who i really like and who likes me and hes always working and whenever i call him his grandma always says hes not there even when he tells me hes going to be there and i think shes either lieing or he just doesnt wanna talk to me and i dont know what to do or what to think...hes a great guy but i mean it upsets me that i cant talk to him and i dont know how to handle this..i called him tonight and his grandma said that he wasnt there and i asked if i could call back and she said we're all about to go to bed...and then i said well can i call back in 10 mins to check and see if hes there and she said yes and then when i called back no one answered...i dont know what to do so if anyone has any ideas for me please let me know!!...Thanks
Is there any other way you can communicate with this guy? Such as the computer..on AIM by chance? I know how difficult it can be to try to get to know someone. Honestly, it doesn't sound like this guy is trying to make an effort, so think to yourself, is he really worth the effort? If he is, then possibly try to leave a message with him, say it is urgent, and establish some kind of communicate, like if it is worth it to talk through e-mail or instant message. If one of you already has it, then the other should download the system. Hardly an effort at all! I hope this guy shapes up so you can talk...I hope I've helped.
