My name is Melissa. I'm a sophomore, and finally SWEET 16. So, I'll be driving on January 7th. I usually go by May or Mel. In the picture is myself and my AMAZING boyfriend Kyle. He's truly my entire world & I'm not sure how I got lucky enough to get someone like him. I don't like girls. They're fake, and I just in general dislike most girls. Little known fact? There are times I hate my best friend, I mean, hate hate. She drives me insane. When I'm close friends with a girl it's a big deal. As far as best friends go; I have Kyle, who's the most amazing boyfriend in the world; Jennifer Anne Reese aka: PIECUP.. she's one of the few girls I'm close to. I'm generally a nice person, if I like you. If I don't, you'll know it.

In college I want to major in psychology; with a minor in wedding planning or some type of organizational planning type thing. I'm a planning freak. I ALWAYS have a plan, and if you don't plan stuff ahead of time, I'll probably kill you. I tend to change my plan spur of the moment a lot, but I always have one. Lol, one of those weird things about me.


I'm not that much of a "laid back" person. In general, I have my opinion, and I'm going to win. Drama = stupid. But just like every other girl on the planet, I definitely start my share of the drama. I don't like it, but it follows me like a puppy, so I'll just admit I start stuff.

ok so i spilled snaple on my ipod and i have some more questions...i am getting a werid message about the fire wire conncetion and how it is not supported...does that connect with the spill? and also now my comp will not let me download songs because it does not recidnize the ipod.HAVE I TOTALLY RUINED MY NEW IPOD? plz help me!

You haven't totally ruined it. It just needs some repair. Go to apple.com/ipod, find the help and support, and go there. Enter all the required information, and within a couple days they'll send you a box with padding, and further instructions. Then you send it in, and just wait for it to return. Make sure you backup all your files because your's may get deleted in the repair process. Good luck!

In my Math class(7th period;last period), I sit in a table of 5 people(including me). There's only 2 girls (including me..) and 3 guys. I usually talk to the guys. But anyways. In the math classroom the teachers have phones that the school can get it touch with the teachers and stuff since the school is so big. But somehow i got the number and me and then 2 guys just call the phone and let it ring and as soon as he answers, we hang up! Lol =). And this is during class,too.With our cell phones. I know its stupid and immature but its soo funny because our teacher just gets soo mad.
I told my sister this and she started laughing. But then shes saying how i should stop because my number can come in the bill because the school gets a bill and they could call up the number(my number) and if they find out its a student then i could get in trouble. Can i really? And will blocking my number be any different? Those are the only 2 questions i have. So thanks!

If you put your number on private, by dialing *67 first, then you SHOULDN'T get caught. But if you HAVEN'T been blocking your number, then yes, you could get caught.

Ok im kinda confused. I like to fight, i dont care if its my friends fighting or someone i dont like. But my girlfriend hates it. And recently.. she asked me if she could do her girlfriend a favor. She wants to know if i will let her, try to get her friends boyfriend to make a move on her, (in other words help her friend catch her boyfriend cheating). It's up to me to say yes or no. I could knock this guy out and everyone knows it.. but she doesnt want me to no matter what. So i have no idea.. its up to me to let her do it or not.. but i have no idea how im supose to react if he does try something with her.. HELP Any answer gets best rate.

If he does try something, you should ACT pissed. Because they're trying to catch him cheating. Meaning that nobody's SUPOSED to find out. So when it gets out and you "find out", act pissed about it.

Then again, I don't think having some guy make a move on her is that great. That decision is up to you. Good luck.

I've heard that when you're trying to lose weight that it's important to eat several small, healthy meals a day instead of only one or two large meals. What's a decent number of small meals a day to start with? Do you increase or decrease as time goes on?

Normally you have about 5 small meals a day. A small breakfast, a brunch, a small lunch, an afternoon snack, and then a small dinner. Also, no caffiene after 6, and don't eat after 7. Good luck!

Ok, well here is my story. Me and this guy I have known since 8th grade (10th grade now) went out for about a year. We have been "semi-dating" I guess you could say ever since we broke up, but the thing is that after we broke up we still had a relationship and I got pregnant. After he found out that I was pregnant we started to get really close again and it made me want to be with him. Both him and I know that the baby is his, there's no doubt about that. Well, today we were talking and he knows that I still would really like it if we made our dating official, like boyfriend girlfriend again. He knows that I want to be with him, and he said that we would be together. Well here is where the problem comes in, he doesn't want to make it official. To me if it isn't official then does that mean I can be with someone else? I am the type to get jealous and I think that unless we make it official I will continue to feel the way I do and its making me very depressed, what should I do? Would it be right if I just took charge and asked him out or should I just keep giving him hints that I want him to do it? HELP PLEASE

Awww, I love tumbling! It's so fun. Definitely my favorite part of cheerleading. But ANYWAYS, tumbling is anywhere from $30 to $70 a month. It depends upon the gym, your skill level, and the length of time that you're going to be in the gym for your class.

For an exapmple, mines a tumble 2 class (running handsprings, tucks, and layouts) and I go for one hour classes. Mine's $45 per month. So it's not TOO expensive!

Talk to your friend first. Boys are dumb, expecially younger ones, and girls mature faster anyways. It should be friends over boyfriends, so talk to her about it. If she doesn't change her behavior then talk to him.

If you guys were really good friends, then yeah, you should take the time to write or email her. If the friendship doesn't mean anything to you (which I think it does since you took the time to ask this question) then don't worry about it. Give her a chance to cool off, then write or email her. theres a guy that I really like. We havent slept together yet but I was hoping that one day we could be more than friends. Anyways I just found out from one of his friends that he spent a year in jail when he was 18, but wouldnt tell me what for. Anyways, that was a long time ago, he is in his 40's now.
He is a really nice guy and I know he would never hurt me. But I'm really curious as to why he was in jail.
Should I ask him or wait for him to tell me?

alright, i'm 14 years old and i'm around.. 5'3" or possibly 5'4" and im about 106lbs. I'm just asking.. is that really skinny? I mean, I have like, real high metabolism ( both my parents have it ) and all my friends say I'm too skinny and that I need to gain some weight. I'm just having some trouble. How would I go about doing that? Cause I'm not gonna sit there and like, pig out till' i die. I just don't want people thinking i'm anorexic or something. I mean I'm really not that skinny. I think I'm averagley skinny. =/ I don't know. Please help.

First of all, BE THANKFUL THAT YOU'RE SMALL. There are girls who would rather kill themselves to be skinny, than to live overweight.

Don't worry about being "too skinny". Average weight for you is about 115 or so, so you aren't THAT horribly small. (= Be thankful that you're small, and just keep eating healthy. Plus, if you're small you can get away with eating whatever you want!

I'm so screwed. I haven't missed my period yet, I'm due for it Friday, but my friend is bringing me a pregnancy test tomorrow. I had sex without a condom, and my boyfriend pulled out but I'm still paranoid about it, and yes I know I have a good reason to be.

Anyways...I'm going to take a pregnancy test Saturday. I think I will be with my boyfriend when I do it. What I want to know is how do I tell my parents and what should I do? I'm so scared right now I'm crying...my parents have always known me as their good little girl that never did anything wrong. I feel like dying.

First of all, you haven't missed your period yet so DON'T stress out over what MIGHT be nothing, if you're very very lucky. Secondly, don't tell your parents until the test comes back positive. There's no reason to get yourself grounded, and definitely worse consequences, if there's nothing to worry about after all.

Wait until Sunday or Monday to take the test. Your period CAN come late because of stress, and you might just freak yourself out more. And learn a lesson from this. Because if you AREN'T pregnant, you should consider yourself VERY lucky. Don't let something like this happen again.

Remember, it's not worth dying. There are things you can do to prevent this from happening, and chances are your parents will support you nomatter what because they love you and you're their child. Don't stress yourself because then your period will come later, and you'll scare yourself even more. Just relax, and wait until sometime during the week to take the test.

And you can always give the child up for adoption, or have an abortion. (I don't condone abortion, but unfortunately, it is an option.) Just consider everything that you CAN do IF you are pregnant.

We have a school dance this week and i want to sneak my boyfriend in that goes to another school. But i dont know if he wants to go or if i will get into trouble. So should i try to sneak him in and risk going home or not even try?

First of all, talk to your school about it. At my school, all we have to do is sign a permission slip. They have to agree to follow our school rules, and pay to get it, just like everyone else. Also, they have to be IN high school.

Talk to your school admin. and see if there's a way you can get special permission. If not, try sneaking him in like half way through? If the only consequence is going home, and there isn't anything more serious (like banned from the rest of the dances, detention, something like that..) then go for a while, so you have SOME fun, and then have him come.

What is the average cost of gymnastic classes? Thanks in advance!

It definitely depends upon what kind of gymnastics you're taking, if it's a private or a class, what skill level, etc. It definitely depends a lot upon that gym, and how good of a gym they are. Also, for privates, some instructors are cheaper than others. It just depends upon a lot of factors.

If you're taking all around gymnastics (bars, beam, vault, and floor) then it's going to be a lot more expensive because gymnasts usually train 5 to 6 days a week for anywhere from 2 to 6 hours.

If you're taking cheerleading gymnastics (tumbling) then it's going to be a lot cheaper.

It also depends if you're starting out or already have some skills. If you have the basics then you might want to start with privates. If you don't, start with a class. It depends on your comfort and sometimes which instructor you're best with.

15/f- Its really long but if you would take the time, I would really really appreciate your help.

Okay I have 2 best friends, shelby and christa. Well shelby recently got a boyfriend, and all of a sudden started acting very distant to me and christa. She never hung out with us anymore, and barely talked to us at school. She was trying to change herself to fit in with her bf's friends. Well Then she started telling people that me and christa abandoned her and that we were mad and jealous that she has a bf. We never said anything to her. So then we heard it from more people, so we asked her about it, if she said it. She denied it, and got mad at us and walked away. We let it go. Then my friend found a note from her to her bf that said " I dont know what is up with HER (meaning me) lately. If she doesnt knock it off quick, Im not gonna talk to her at all at homecoming because I dont want my night to be ruined by HER". So then I called her and asked her about it. Now Im not a mean person at all. Im too nice at times. Well I must have said "Now Im not trying to attack you or be mean, I just wanna talk" fifteen times, and she was like "Oh I know" She made up some lame excuse, and I was like whatever, so then we talked for about an hour like normal about our day and whatnot. The next morning she came up to Christa and I and hugged us to make sure we were okay. Well afterschool a friend came up and said "shelby said you called her and yelled and bitched her out for an hour and then she cried after you got off the phone" I was so angry, and I was tempted just to not talk to her anymore, but I gave it one more chance. I went up to her before lunch at her locker and asked her why she was saying that, and that she knew very well it wasnt true. I was being wayy too nice. She wouldnt look at me, she kept her eyes on her locker and was like "yeah... whatever.. sure" while I was talking, so then she was like "IM DONE okay? IM DONE WITH YOU" and just kept saying it, and I walked off, and then she went and told her bf that it was the otherway around. So then she comes up to me like 1 or 2 days later and says I was being a bitch the otherday, I dont know what was up. Blah. And I just said yeah I agree and walked away, then she wrote me a 3 page note and the first page was an apology finally. Im the forgive and forget type, but I dont really wanna forgive exactly, but she sits at our lunch table now, but everyone is like "why are you talking to her, she doesnt deserve your time"

Should I forgive her after all she did?
Am I right about this whole thing?
Should I talk to her still?
What should I do?

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give

First of all, sorry that you're having to deal with a suposed best friend acting this way. It's ridiculous and you shouldn't get treated this way.

I don't think having a boyfriend & wanting to fit in with his friends should justify her talking about you guys. It's one thing to not be with you guys constantly anymore, because obviously she's going to want to hang out with her boyfriend, but that doesn't mean she needs to talk about you.

There's no reason why you guys should be forgiving HER for everything she's saying and doing to you. That's ridiculous and if you guys are best friends, it SHOULDN'T be going on.

I know it will seem mean, and hard at times, but until her & this boyfriend break up, or have a fight she probably isn't going to change. Just leave her alone and let her come to you when she needs you. Then talk to her about how she is making / made you guys feel. Because it's not fair.

Gymnastics season depends on your school team. Some schools have a fall season, some have a spring season, some have both. Talk to the coach, and then decide if you can manage two sports.

It SHOULDN'T hurt unless he's too rough with you, or if he accidentally cuts you with his fingernail or something like that. Even then, you probably won't feel it.

If you decide to let him do it, just tell him that you haven't done it before and he shouldn't be rough with you. If you're mature enough to do it, then you should be able to talk about it. Just tell him to go slowly and be gentle. (=
