my phone number in the bill??!?!!!

Question Posted Tuesday November 8 2005, 2:33 am

In my Math class(7th period;last period), I sit in a table of 5 people(including me). There's only 2 girls (including me..) and 3 guys. I usually talk to the guys. But anyways. In the math classroom the teachers have phones that the school can get it touch with the teachers and stuff since the school is so big. But somehow i got the number and me and then 2 guys just call the phone and let it ring and as soon as he answers, we hang up! Lol =). And this is during class, too. With our cell phones. I know its stupid and immature but its soo funny because our teacher just gets soo mad.
I told my sister this and she started laughing. But then shes saying how i should stop because my number can come in the bill because the school gets a bill and they could call up the number(my number) and if they find out its a student then i could get in trouble. Can i really? And will blocking my number be any different? Those are the only 2 questions i have. So thanks!

If i were you I would stop. The could find out your number and you will get into trouble. The numbers are give to you so if you have a guestion or need help you can get a hold of the teacher. If you keep this up they might stop doing this and when you go need help you won't have the numbers for the teacher. you should listen to your sister. hope i helped.

Yes the number will show up on the bill reguardless. Blocking your number only blocks it from caller ID. On the phone bill it will still provide the callers #. I'm not sure if you can get in trouble, if they call and you answer and they say 'this is your school, you've been calling this number' just say like no i leave my phone at home durning school and my little sister must of been doing it. or just get the schools number and save it to your phone and when that number pops up dont answer it...

wow thats funny. ok well in my school we have phones too, and i dont think they could trace it....but you school may be different. i would stop, but if you want, before you dial the number press *69 then your number will be blocked.

They usually wouldnt look for it sense they're so many calls going thru to the school each day. If you *69-ed your number it would block and it would show as restricted i would just stop as soon as you could and have less of a risk

hey, haha thats so funny. you shouldnt really worry about it though. And plus I dont think the school has people's cell phone numbers. If you do block your number then it will make a diffrence, they wont know its you calling for sure! But I dont think they will search for the number. There are probably so many diffrent numbers that call the school anyways. Well I hope I helped ya out a bit!

well if your number does show up they wouldnt know it you unless you answer and say your name and there has to be more than one girl with your name. blocking your number will help because they cant find blocked numbers. good luck!!!

If you put your number on private, by dialing *67 first, then you SHOULDN'T get caught. But if you HAVEN'T been blocking your number, then yes, you could get caught.

As long as you blocked your number, the teacher won't know that is you calling the phone. If he was to CALL your number, he wouldn't find out it was a student unless he knew your number OR called it in class and your phone ringed. (Always keep your phone on vibrate!!!) so the answers to your questions are NO.

I doubt if the bill will mention about calls received, but even otherwise if the teacher gets irritated to the limit and informs to keep the track of the calls received, your number could be traced and that wont be good for you. Playing pranks are good , but not with your teachers!!!
