how does a doctor check for a hormone imbalance.
i've been reading in magazines that excess hair and an irregular mentruation cycle after 6 months of having your period are signs of a hormone imbalance that can be treated. i am thinking that maybe i have this, but how does a doctor check for this? and how is it treated?

you may have hyper hydrosis which is caused by genetics... when you have this condition your palms, da soles of your feet and your under arms are constantly dripping wet... This Happens when your sweat controlling nerves work more than they are supposed... And when you sweat like this theres nothing deodarant or antiperspirants can do... What you can do is go to the Dermatologist and they can inject botox in in your underarms... that'll fix ur problem... however this only lasts for a year... so its needs to be done every year... Another choice you have is a Sympathectomy... This is a surgical procedure where the surgeons will cut the nerves in your under arms so they dont send the messege to your sweat glands to work more than they should... this procedure has sum short term side effects which are costly so talk to a doctor and find out whats best for you... what you can do in the meantime is use underarm pads which can be sewn into your clothes... u can find them at fabric stores...
