Teen Modeling

I really want to get into modeling.How would i go about this? Do i need an agent? If so how does this work? if anyone has any experince in this or even in acting.Im about 5'5 and 145lbs,but am sliming down, i am planning to lose 30 pounds.
So just any advice or comments on this would be great.

well at 5'5, you'll probably be modeling for petites. my friend who is a tad bit shorter than you is doing petites and she has to loose a ton of weight for it. since you're in cali already, you can probably find an agent more easily than the average person. <3
editttt: i don't know much else besides the norm like don't pay for the protfolio or then it def is a scam. sorry but good luckkk!

Well my sister did modeling, and she said it wasnt as she expected it, everything down to your face angle has to be perfect. But since you live in california i would think there would be a lot of oppertunities for modeling? If not, try searching online for a agency close to you, and make sure its no scam and what not.
