I enjoy watching tv series on DVD. Ones I have enjoyed are "Soprano's", "Sex & the City", "Star Trek TNG", & "Dawson's Creek". Can anyone recommend a new series for me to watch with a continuing story line; not a comedy like "Sienfeld."

7th Heaven's kind of corny, but it's a good show with a story line. I think they're on like, their 9th season. It's on Fox and ABCFamily.

Ok, for the backround, I went to www.geocities.com/icingchills/backrounds.html. This is the backround I choose: http://members.aol.com/happycloud22/images/lightblue.gif.
There's a lot of cool backrounds at that site. They even have moving backrounds. Then choose a backround you want and copy it. Go to your column settings and paste the url into the Page Backround Image (URL) box. The other thing you're talking about is called a transition. Go to this site: http://www.buddy4u.com/view/?u=xXx+HTML+xXx#transitions. Choose the transition you want, put the transition number in the code box and copy it. Go to your profile settings, and paste the code where your biography thing is. Then click submit, and it'll be in your column. Good luck! If you need any more help, leave it in my inbox.

i am a 13 year old girl, and i got my period for the first time today. i don't know how to tell my mom. any advice?

I remember the 1st time I got my period. I think I was about 13, too. I know how you feel, you feel like crawling in a hole, but telling your mom will make you feel sooo much better, trust me. Just say, Mom, I just got my period, ya got a pad/tampon? She'll probably forget about that 2nd part though. Lol. But no matter how you say it, just tell her, you'll feel better once you do. Okay i have this "friend" and she's getting on my nerves. the thing is that i know i'm a shopaholic and i shopa nd buy thing a lot it's just the thing i do. so we went to the mall a few days ago and while she has $100 for shopping i didnt so i was like these are nice pants i'm going to tell my mom and we go back to get them and she all the sudden started yelling at me about me going shopping so much and everything and that i shouldnt buy anything from now on because it's way to much money. what should i do or say to her? it just pissed me off that it's any of her business that i buy things because it's not like she's paying for it...please help me if you can. and it feels like she's always competing with me with clothes or something...she doesnt excatly live where i do because her house is like the size of my living room(not to be mean or anything tho cuz i'm in a new subdivision with the nice houses) and she's always like yeah i use to do this and that like she was all rich before and that gets me mad...i'm not rich or nothing but enough to get by yah kno? Please help! thanks!

It really sounds like she's jealous of you, because you have more $ to spend and you have a nicer house and everything. That's probably why she's competing with you. I'd stop going shopping with her. If she yells at you at school, just tell her that it's none of her business and change the subject. Good luck!

I Have this friend who is always putting themselves down and somethimes i dont know what to say becuase they arent the most attractive person and i dont want to seem fake about it. Whenever they tell me that there ugly or whatnot...im always like dont put yourself down like that your not ugly. Every time i talk to this person they always tell me how ugly they are! I know what you mean, because I used to have a friend just like that. What you have to do is to tell her to stop, because it's upsetting you. Tell her it doesn't matter how you are on the outside, but what's on the inside that counts, and that you like her just the way she is. Good luck!

well my boyfriend of 5 months has been acting weird..for the past 3 days he hasnt been calling me, or asking to hangout or nothing...and everytime i call him he says hell call me back...and does in like 5 hours...but yestreday we were supposed to hangout and i called hmi at 1 and he said he was gonna take a shower and hed call me back...and he never did =(....ive talked to him about it upsetting me when he doesnt call me back for like 5 hours..but this time he didnt call back at all...i usually go to his house every wednesday....should i go this wednesday if he calls and apologizes? how do i act on the phone if he calls tonight? do i yell at him, be quiet, or act sad?? HELP...i dont know what to do im really upset about it though because my boyfriend means the world to me i love him so much im even listenin to sad music like mockingbird by eminem.....thx.oh ya i dont think hes mad at me or anything....i saw him the day before all this started happening and everything was great..

Well some people don't like talking on the phone. They like to IM better. Maybe that's why, because it sounds like he still likes you. If he calls, act sad, because he'll want to know what's wrong and you can tell him again. And I think you should go Wed. cuz if you don't, it'll make things worse. Good luck!

Well, you can't exactly print posters off the internet, you have to pay for them. If you just print out pics from the internet, it's just computer paper, but if you want an actual poster, then you have to pay for them. Here's 2 websites I found on Google with posters of the killers.

ok i go to camp every summer and i love my camp soooo much... everyone in my cabin goes back each summer at the same time, and theres this girl that does the same... her name is nicole... well i hate nicole and so does everyone else in my cabin... and we dont just hate her for no reason (well parents send us packages with food n stuff n then we share them with the cabin, when she was not in the cabin me n my friend discovered that she had like 2 grocery bags FULL of food that she did not share with us) we are all mean to her because we hate but she does not take a hint... i asked her if she was going back to camp next summer and she said yes and nobody wants her to... anyone have any ideas on how to get her to not go back??? ( i have no idea why she wants to go back there are 42 girls at my camp and 41 on them hate her -->the other 2 include her and this other weird girl that no one likes) please help me... we dont want to deal with this crazy-food-hogging-mean person

Well, see if she can get into the cabin with the other girl no one likes. Talk to your counselors beforehand about it. Tell them what's going on, and see if they can help you. If they can't do anything, try being nice to her, I know it's hard, but it WILL help. Because when you're nice, she will share her food. Hopefully, lol. Good luck!

okay so she says she likes this guy, we'll call him Dave. but she knows his older brother (Clark) much better, and he is a HUGE flirt. Im not so sure what topic this would be placed under but...

i recived a phone call 2 nights ago on my cell phone and this guy keeps calling hes tried to have phone sex over the phone with me but i refused and i dont no who he is but he says he nos everything about me he has told me my address and street city state number of siblings and so on.. and he called me again yesterday telling me if im shy again that he is going to f*** the hell out of me till i am dead and i dont no what to do he told me i better not tell anyone because he said he would make my death more pain full... could this be a prank? or serious... im confused and dont no what to do PLEASE HELP ME ASAP

Whoa, creepy. Do you have a public website where anyone can go? Because maybe he went there and that's how he got the info and your cell #? It's probably a prank, but you can never be sure. I would tell the police. Does your phone have like, caller ID? Like when the person calls, the # shows up? (idk, I have it) If you do, you should give the police the # and have them deal with it. And if he calls, just don't answer. If you don't have the caller ID, just hang up when you know it's him. But I definitely think you need to the tell the police. I think it might be a prank, but better safe than sorry. Good luck!

okay i dont know if this goes under illnesses, but i couldnt find anything else.. Alright I have a metal allergy, and so I'm allergic to the metal in my belts and I get like a rash, but I can't not wear belts b/c i have to keep my pants up, lol (i'm in between sizes, so the 7's are too tight and the 9's are too big) and I don't know is there anything I could use so my belts like, wouldn't touch my skin or something.. and don't say just stop wearing them, cause I'm trying but theres still that rash.. :-/ ty if you can help me

Well I know that at the Gap, they have sizes 2, 4, 6, 8, and so on. I don't know if that's any different, but maybe. Ask your doctor what you should do, maybe there is a certain prescription he/she can give you. I know you don't want to stop wearing them, but you should, just until you see what your doctor has to say. Good luck!

Well, I'm not a guy, but I have a pretty good idea why he tells people. It's because he loves you and thinks you're pretty and everything and he likes saying, "I have her and you don't, hahahaha." Lol, do you get what I'm saying? If you don't want him telling people all the time, I would just tell him. Tell him you don't like it and you won't put up with it. He'll understand. Good luck!

I found out yesterday that a good friend of mine was killed at a party. Someone had slipped ecstasy in her drink and then she was brutally raped while she was passed out. I feel like this is all my fault. The reason being is because I always went to parties with her and I would always tell her "Beck, don't drink at parties". She'd always yell at me and tell me that I acted like her mother. But I knew I was right, I don't trust the drinks that people hand out at parties. The guy that raped her was my ex-boyfriend. I still feel like this was all my fault because, had I been there, he wouldn't have done anything to her because he's afraid of me. I'm sure by now you're all probably thinking "This is a load of bull" but believe it. This actually happens to people. She was my best friend. I knew I should have gone with her to that party. I'm completely miserable right now. She was my best friend. I always figured that nothing like that could ever hit so close to home. I'd always see stories like this on the news and I'd think to myself "How could they be so stupid?" Or, "That would never happen where I live." But it has. I don't know how to handle this. My ex boyfriend was arrested and my friends family is waiting to go to court but in the time being, I don't know how to handle myself. I don't even have the courage to go to her funeral tomorrow. I need help getting through this. Please help me... Thank you for those who take this seriously. I would really also like a non-sarcastic answer because this is a touchy subject for me. Thank you.

Omg, I'm so sorry. But you have to know that it WAS NOT your fault. Even though you may think it was, it's not. It was her fault for drinking in the first place. You tried to help her and tell her not to drink. You did your part. But she went and did it anyway. And it's also your ex's fault, because he raped her. That's so sick. But please, hun, don't feel like it's your fault, it's not. When you go to the funeral tomorrow, it's ok to cry, just remember that. Remember all the good times. Now I know most people say "Oh I hate school!", but really, I do. I get made fun of so much but I try to brush it off because I don't want to seem like a weak person. One girl and a few of her friends call me a dike whenever they see me. I don't know why, I'm not; I don't know what gave them that idea. One kid calls me fat and makes fun of the clothes I wear. For one, I'm not fat... I'm not the skinnest person ever, but I sure as hell am not fat. Then theres this other guy, who also makes fun of the clothes I wear. For instance today I had a Sid Vicious shirt on and he harrassed me the whole way home about it. "Oh my god he killed his girlfriend" "Sid Vicious is so gay" "I hate the sex pistols" "You're a loser if you listen to them" I really have had it and I'm really sick of school, I just can't put up with it anymore and have no idea of what to do. I want to drop out so bad, I just can't put up with people and there stupid jokes. Anybody know what I can do about this. I really don't want to talk to anybody about it but I just don't know what else I can do. -kate

Well, don't switch schools or anything, that'll make you seem really weak. Just ignore them whenever they say anything, because if they don't get any reaction, they'll think what's the point and they'll stop. Or just tell them off! If you feel you need to, talk to the principal, your counselor, or a teacher. Just shouldn't have to put up with crap like that. People these dayz... Good luck!
