My name is Jen, I go to school, and occasionally learn things. I love James Dean, Hanson, Sloppy Firsts and Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty, Fall Out Boy, Elton John and Billy Joel. These make me overly qualified to give advice ESPECIALLY since I spend the vast majority of my time watching and obsesing over Oprah.
I've been through some stuff, and watched even more drama on TV, so I can help with your problems, no matter what your story is Wishbone.

i have this really long closet...and im just wondering if there is any ways i can re-organize... (link)
|
Ikea has hanging shelves you can attatch to the bar of your closet with velcro. I'm too lazy to use drawers or hangers so I love them. If you are allowed they sell kits where you can actually build in compartments to your closet, like shoe organizers, shelves, and leave space to hang.
Ikea.com has good storage ideas, and if you can't buy the items from there you are bound to find similar ones at places like Walmart or Target.

how long untill it starts ruining ur nose and making it ugly what our the other noticable affects of cocaine 4 instance skinny acne ugly nose etc (link)
|
generally someone who is under the influence of cocaine has huge pupils, and their iris is very thin, and almost undetectable. Weight loss and the "sniffles" happen, but I've never heard of "ugly nose" as being a symptom. Sometimes cokeheads have longer pinky nails so they can snort cocaine from them- but that's not really a symptom.
an iris, since you asked, is the coloured part of your eye.

How do you keep your eyeliner straight when you do the "eyeliner tears"? (ex. Benji from Good Charlotte)
Thanks

|
when you feel the real love for a fallen homie you'll be able to do it straight, and in permanent ink.

My period is very heavy on the first few days. I usually use pads and slender tampons. I was wondering is there any way for me to make me period less heavy? I tried using a 'super' tampon but it hurts because I'm not big enough down there. Is there anything I can do? I'm sick and tired of feeling like I'm wearing a diaper but my period's too heavy for the small tampons. (link)
|
I suggest you work your way up to super. Like for your next period use a regular flow, plus a pad, then try a medium-to heavy tampon plus a thin pad. Your vagina will eventually stretch to... I guess accomadate, a bigger tampon.

Me n my friend want to write something to the mayor of our town about how we want buses and/or taxis in the town. but we arent sure what to do.. does anyone have any suggestions of what we can do/write to the mayor?
i rate all 5s..
-jules (link)
|
you can write a petition.
Basically state what you want to happen (ie We the undersigned believe that our town is in need of buses or taxis... or something of that effect ) and get a whole bunch of signatures of people in your town. You most likely aren't the only people who believe your town needs public transit.

does toothpaste really work on pimples? what is the best thing to do to ur pimples, or what is the best product to use? please hellp! (link)
|
Use tea tree oil, or a wash with tea tree oil based product. It's a natural oil so you're less likely to have a reaction to it, and it won't dry out your skin.
Buy a bottle of the oil and mix a dab with a little aloe vera gel, and put it on specific zits overnight. They should clear up really quickly.

I'm concerned about my relationship with my husband. He is a fabulous guy and I deeply, deeply love him. I just don't want any kind of physical relationship. That doesn't mean I want a physical relationship with someone else - I don't. I just enjoy our time together and his support and friendship. What's wrong with me??
I'm 40 and have been married to him for 16 years. (link)
|
I really don't know your past, and if anything has happened to you to turn you off of sex. Maybe your relationship has just gotten dull. Talk to your husband about it, see if he's noticed. And consider seeing a sex therapist or relationship therapist, if you are both willing to invest the time and effort.

Hey, I am a helper for my church's sunday school class. The class I teach is made up of 4th and 5th graders. Well one of the 4th graders suffers from a disease, I dont know what its called..But he cant really focus on things. Its sort-of like ADHD but worse. So anyway, instead of him listening to the storys and doing crafts hes out of control. Sometimes I have to get his mom so she can calm him down. I told her that I would play with him while the other kids listened to the teacher every sunday. But I dont know what stuff we could do. Does anyone have any ideas? I also have to keep him quiet...so I dont know. I was thinking about coloring but hes a boy and I dont thinks little boys like to color. Thanks and I will rate:) (link)
|
He's about 9 right? That's a tricky age. My sister is 10 and she loves to draw now (no more colouring books) and other art stuff, like collages. Or to make it more fun write a story together and illustrated it. Play doh is always enjoyable, or legos. Maybe try a couple board games or checkers or something.
I'm not sure of his exact condition, but try asking him what he likes to do. Definitly ask his mother if she has any ideas to keep him occupied.
|
My mother-in-law is always accusing me of over-reacting to things, when I think my reactions are quite normal. She tells me to calm down when I'm only slightly frustrated about something, and her saying this to me repeatedly causes me to get more frustrated, then she's like "I told you so." For example, today she was giving my daughter a ride to school, and I went along because she was in her p.j's and it was a cold day and she was doing us a favor so I didn't have to walk her to school. Anyways, to get to the point, my daughter had made a suncatcher keyring for her teacher and I knew that I had put it in her backpack. My daughter wanted to show it to her grandmother, so she opened her backpack, and I reached back and got it. I looked in her backpack where I had put it and it wasn't there. So I simply stated "It's not here. I know I put it in here." I wasn't hysterical, just slightly puzzled. My mother-in-law immediately starts saying "Calm down, calm down. It's no big deal," as if I was totally freaking out, which I wasn't, and I kept repeating "It's not here," as I looked because she kept saying "Calm down." She was irritating me, and I told her so, and that I thought she was being rude. She just told me to "Drop it." She acts so smug and superior. My daughter found it in the back of the car, and handed it to me, which my mother-in-law didn't even notice because she was so busy telling me to stop going on about it. I told her she was rude and didn't repect my feelings and that anyone would say the same thing when they were looking for something and it wasn't where they put it. She probably didn't hear half of what I said because she was too busy telling me to shut up. I finally gave up, but I have a hard time dropping a subject when I think someone is unfairly judging me. I was trying to get her to understand my point of view. She is always treating me like this. I'm so sick of it. Does anyone have experience with a person like this? How do you handle it without making it look like the person is right about you? I know this is what I'm doing when I respond to her rudeness. But I don't know how else to handle it. She is hard to ignore. Any advice? (link)
|
I think you handled the problem well, but it just wasn't at the right time. It was morning, she wasn't dressed yet (possibly not fully awake), driving and your daughter was in the car with you. Try and bring the subject up more gently, when it is one on one, she may be more willing to listen.
If this doesn't work I suppose you could just try and avoid talking about things that cause issues. Although this may be tough. Next time she tells you to calm down, you could just clam up and see if that's "calmed down" enough for her.
Or if your mother in law is a big fan of Dear Abby send them this letter, maybe she'll recognize herself and shut up ;)

KK, I am running for treasurer of my school and I havta make stickers. I can't think of any good lines to put on it (for example Vote Alexis for treasurer it makes cents). Please Help!! I'll rate!! thanx... xoxo (link)
|
you could always do a dollar bill with your picture inserted as whoever's on the American dollar.
hmm if your school has a particular hatred for Texas you could be "VOTE FOR ALEXIS, SHE AIN'T FROM TEXAS"
-vote for Alexis, she knows where the cheque's is (not very literate, but hey you're running for treasurer)
Make stickers with Mr T on them that say "I pity the foo that don't vote for Alexis"

Ok well i've always loved drama. I go to drama classes on saturdays and i'm taking my grades but i want to take it futher. How can i be in a theatre production or on TV please help! They don't do anything at school. (f/13) (link)
|
ask your drama coach, he or she probably knows of some productions. Check around at local churches/synagogues/temples etc... many of them put on plays. If there is a small theatre in your area ask them- they may have a play for amateurs or may be willing to give you a small role.
As for TV, unless you make it on the six o clock news, I think you may need an agent. You would have to discuss this with your parents because your career could become very time consuming and costly (head shots are expensive).
I think there are some books avaliable about "how to make it" with good advice on what to expect. Check around the library or bookstore.

I need some help in planning a 21st Birthday Party!!! It doesn't even have to be a party, just something to do with a best friend,or a small group of friends. Please don't say "Go get drunk!!" cuz that's not my style,I mean I may have a drink or two but not get wasted!!Thanks in advance! And I will rate all answers!! (link)
|
can I just say congrats on not planning on getting drunk? Too many people think you need to not remeber the night before, for it to be fun. Myself included at times.
Annnnnyways, go dancing at a club, but don't drink. Or go make reservations at a really nice restaurant and dress up. A day at the spa? the drive- in? Go bowling and get shirts made up that say whoever's birthday it is, like a real bowling league. Just because making shirts is fun. If all else fails throw an old fashion sleep over complete with pillow fights, hair braiding and dumb movies.

Okay. As you all know Halloween is coming up and I have a problem. Halloween is on a Sunday, and my mom set a curfew of 9:30. (that aint cool!) What can I say to make her let up on the lame curfew?
HELP ME!!!!!!! (link)
|
tell her where you plan on being, assure her you'll be in a group, and plan on making stops back in the house. This works for you because you can dump off loads of candy when you check back at home.
and if all that fails, cry like you've never cried before. Complain that aside from your wedding, Hallowe'en is one of the most important nights of your life.

hey hey! well i was wondering how long it usually takes for the tanning bed to work and the color to kick in?? and for you to start getting noticably dark?? also what are some good lotions?? thanks!! (link)
|
it depends on how often you go, and how often you stay in for. You should build up to the full time alotment, but the salon you go to should tell you about that. Australian Gold lotions are really nice, but expensive. At the drugstore you can buy tanning bed lotions for about $5 Canadian. Just make sure it specifies for tanning bed use, because regular sun tan lotions wreck the beds. Or buy just the samples of the Australian Gold from the salon. If you plan on going in totally nude but sun tan lotion on your butt. It sounds funny, but sunburned asses are no laughing matter.
If you're interested in a really fast and more even tan, try the stand up beds. However, they generally cost more.

Hi guys, This may sound weird comming form a 22 yera old but my doctor was no help when I asked her this question. Some imput from you guys might be good. I have been on and off of the pill sence I have been 15. I recently started up again after being off of them for a few years. This is my second month. I know the hormones are supose to affect you but I am finding myself very moody. I have never had bad PMS or every been moody. I find myself wanting to cry a lot more for no reason, or just really snippy at everyone. I hate this its not me. I was always happy and I loved everyone. The last 2 months have been hell with these mood swings. I am even snapping at my BF whom I love more than anything in the world. I dont want this new attitude to ruin anything we have. I am really worried. I dont want to be off the pill cause we are not ready for kids yet. Is there anything I can do to get back to normal? Thanks guys I really appreciate your info. *Christin* (link)
|
alisonmarie summed it up pretty much to a tee.
Your pills may be providing you with too many or too little hormones. It's for this reason there are a plethra of different birth control pills out there- that way you can find the one that works best for you. I had the same problem when I was first put on the pill, so the doctor switched my pills.
You really need to explain to your doctor how much this is affecting your life, and if she still refuses to do something about it, a new doctor is probably in order.

i want to pierce my cartilage by myself. how should i do it? is this a good idea? n if not how much would it cost at a professional place? thankz (link)
|
I don't think you should do it yourself because I got mine done professionally (twice), and the first time it got infected and had to be taken out.
It's free, all you pay for is your earring (well at least where I went) but they usually make you get a gold earring so it can be about $30 and up. It's worth it though, because they give you tips on cleaning, and if it does get infected, you can usually get a refund (I was able to).
|
Okay, so I only just turned 13, and I want to become a professional singer.
I've always wanted to be one. Now I want to be one so bad I'll do anything. After seeing JoJo become a singer and she's only 13, I think I could do it too.
What I need to know is where I can go to shove my singing career off the ground. I've had private lessons on singing, and the only problem is I have stage fright of singing infront of people.
I just need to know 2 things. Places I can take my singing career further, and how to overcome my fear.
Thanks! (link)

yeah definitly too young to be showing off your boobs.
And if you are, it's probably to a thirteen year old guy, and I bet he'd be amazed just to see SOME boobs, no matter who's they are.
