I think really you can pick times. The longer your on the bed the darker you get. Probably would take you a half an hour to an hour on a tanning bed and then probably like another hour after for the colors to really start showing!

Good Luck!

It depends on a lot of things: How light your skin is, what wattage bulbs are in the bed, how many minutes you lay in the bed, what tanning lotion you use...I'd recommend using anything that says it has the "tingle factor" in it. They can be more expensive, but they work a lot better.

it depends on how often you go, and how often you stay in for. You should build up to the full time alotment, but the salon you go to should tell you about that. Australian Gold lotions are really nice, but expensive. At the drugstore you can buy tanning bed lotions for about $5 Canadian. Just make sure it specifies for tanning bed use, because regular sun tan lotions wreck the beds. Or buy just the samples of the Australian Gold from the salon. If you plan on going in totally nude but sun tan lotion on your butt. It sounds funny, but sunburned asses are no laughing matter.

If you're interested in a really fast and more even tan, try the stand up beds. However, they generally cost more.

Hey. For me, it took about a week. I'd reccomend "Australian Gold" lotions, those work the best. Something fun is to put a sticker on, in the same place all the time and watch to see how much darker you get over time. By the 2nd day, you'll be able to see it, but the week is how long it took to go WOW!! Good luck! =)
