Here's the deal...I used to have a huge crush on this kid, way back in the day...about 6 years ago. Yes, that'd be when I was in 3rd grade! We knew eachother from a summer camp, but he's two years older and I think he always thought I was kind of annoying...I was a little kid, gimme a break. :-P
Aaaanyway...I found him on facebook! and he added me as a friend. So, I've been talking to him on there and he seems really awesome! He's very smart, likes all the same music I like and then some (and someone with my taste in music is hard to come by), and he's really into the outdoors like I am! We have a lot of the same interests. He really seems like the perfect guy for me ... although I don't think he even thinks of me as a friend, because we haven't exactly spoken to eachother in person since ... well... 6 years ago, basically. But he's changed so much! We muttered a few words, nervously, at a cross country meet this fall. And we've talked a little on facebook.
But, I saw him at a track meet....and all my friends were there, and I know he would think they're really annoying (they are, haha), and I didn't take the ample opportunity to go talk to him! (stupid stupid stupid) I mean, how do you talk to someone who you haven't seen in 6 years!!?! Plus, he's a junior and I'm just a freshman...so he might think I'm annoying, although I think and have been told I'm very mature for my age.
So basically, my problem is that I can't talk to him. I'm not usually like this at all! I'm so outgoing usually. But, I think the thing is, he's so much different now, and he told me I was too. I just wanna be his friend, trust me; i'm not asking for a relationship right now with this guy I haven't even talked to yet!
How should I approach talking to him? All my friends tease me about him all the time...and it's quite annoying. I just want to have a normal friendly relationship with him, not all glossed over because of some dumb things my friends say. :-P

okay, so far... i hate advanced English, lol. i have the most hardest teacher, it's really hard for me to keep up with the work. right now, we're on winter break, but ill be ending next Monday. and I'm supposed to be done reading "A Tale of Two Cities" By Charles Dickens. there's about 390 pages in that book, and right now, i'm on page.. 97. Everybody that's in my class is ahead of me.. right now they're on "Book Three" and I'm on "Book Two" it's really hard for me to concentrate on the book... i mean i have no idea what's going on in it.. i hear about this one character.. and then the next chapter is about a different character. so i get confused, so I'm like "wait, what? who's the main character? who's this & that?" and not just that... i also tend to almost fall asleep on the book. have you ever had that feeling when you're reading something and all the sudden you can't concentrate, and music is playing in your head..? that happens to me alot.. and i try soooo hard to focus on the book. I also have a project due next Wednesday on the book. and i have to choreograph a dance with my friend for my exam also.
i'm not very good on schedules it's hard for me to keep up with them.. is there a way where i can be able to focus on the book, and finish it on time? also to help me stay awake while reading it? (link)

A lot of people have this problem--you aren't alone! I agree, "A Tale of two Cities" is a difficult book and yes, I agree, it is hard to stay up. First of all, you need to be more organized. You need a planner to organize all those schedules. Write down all the dates in the planner for the future so you are ready. Second, you need the book on tape. Get the book of tape--it helps! Second, get cliffnotes or sparknotes as a backup if you don't understand something. However, this isn't a substitute for the book. I REPEAT, DON'T THINK YOU CAN READ THE SPARKNOTES/CLIFFNOTES AS A SUBSTITUTE. Third, prepare yourself. Find a room where it is quiet and no distractions like the computer, ipod, or your cellphone. It's about the book. Read along with the book on tape and you should be fine. Don't worry about your classmates being ahead of you. You need to understand this book clearly so take it seriously! Don't let this peer pressure get the better of you. Just because your friends done it and your sister done it at an earlier age than you, this shouldn't bother you. Sex your first time should be special and you already know that. Those friends that do it randomly are just sluts (Don't take it personally). Your not missing out! You definatley aren't ready for it because you feel like you have to do it. When you get a trustful boyfriend and you are ready--that is the time when you should do it. Don't worry about your age. Don't let your friends taunt you because you are still a virgin. Who cares what your friends think about you--it is what you think about yourself. Don't let your friends judge you because you haven't had sex before--this is childish! Don't let your friends push you into doing something you aren't ready for. It isn't werid that you haven't done it yet--your just not ready and that's OKAY. You are still young and you have years ahead of you. Your younger sister is just immature. Did this jealousy happen when you two were kids? You can't change her jealousy. The only advice I think I can give is just ignore her jealousy. She can say whatever to her fiance. You aren't jealous of it and sooner or later, this childish act should stop. She will see that her actions aren't bothering you and she should give up. When you are around them, ignore her actions and try not to get mad around them because if you do, your falling into her trap basically and she will make it worse. GOOD LUCK!

Ok, so there is this girl I like and she is basically a year older than me.. But we're both sophmores. I like her alot, but we basically "travel in different circles". But we have known each other for about three months now, and we just started talking like a week or so ago. But we've had the same conversation going for the past week.
The bad thing though is, that she is SO freakin gorgeous and im a nerd that has no chance with her, even though we have SOO much in common. She is basically the girl version of me.

Just because you are a nerd, doesn't mean you don't have a chance with her. Do you consider your self attracting in any way? It has been three months so far so at least you know information about this girl. You have a lot in common with her--good start. And the age shouldn't matter. This is a good start; talking to her. Let her get to know you. You can always spot if this girl likes you, only if she hides it. You can't make a girl like you. Be patient with her and slowly win her heart. You can't rush into things so be a gentlemen about this. Just keep on talking to her even though the conversation is the same...slowly change the subject. If you really like this girl, be patient. If you have a lot in common, there should be tons of things to talk about! It has only been a week so just see what happens and hopefully things will progress. GOOD LUCK!

i have dry skin on my face.. not my whole entire face.. but just some parts. i don't know when it started to become dry, but right now.. i'm using calming creme.. it's to help dry skin, which my dad recommended for dry skin. is there any other way i can help make it not come back and stuff?

well doing 200 sit ups are better but you get tierd after 30 walking i dont know 3 miles wont make you half as tierd as doing 200 sit ups i think walking is better and cigarettes can suppress you appetite but they are very unheathy i would rather be 50 pounds over weaght than smoke you will have less health problems even if you are 100 pounds over weight than you would smoking, smoking can kill you right would you rather be fat or dead think about it good luck and i hope you make the right choce

Lately i haven't really done anything. This whole vacation i've gone to my friend's house twice and my grandparents house about 5 times. I've been stuck on my xbox, and feel very bored.
i love football, but my dad doesn't like to play catch....and i don't have friends that love football the way i do.

i am so depressed right now. my best friend and i got into a HUGE fight that we both kind of started and it's making me so confused. after getting out what we both needed to say, i had this really long heartfelt apology because i hated the fight and knew that someone had to step up and be the better woman. then she said that saying sorry wasn't good enough, even though it wasn't just any apology! i really meant what i said and she threw it back like it was worthless. i understand that saying sorry doesn't magically make everything all right, but what else could i do? she really seems on the verge of leaving behind the whole friendship, but i'm not ready for that and i want to fight for it. i'm so sad because i feel like there's nothing else i can do. i'm reeaally really depressed but she doesn't care. what else can i do? please im desperate..
