If you want to stay just friends, keep it simple, tell him that you rather be friends without dating becasue your not ready for a relationship or that you don't want that to ruin or interfere with the friendship you guys have now. It probably won't hurt his feelings or e-go if you put it in a nice and friendly way, just don't stop talking to him afterwards, you might give him the wrong impression that you don't want any sort of relationship with him.

Okay.
So I just found out 2 of my friends had a sleepover without me and are hiding it from me.
It's fine, because I know they're hiding it from me with good intentions. It hurts a little bit...but I'm pretty sure it's good intentions.
You see, they know my Mum would probably wouldn't let me go, so instead of giving me the pain of knowing they're having fun at a sleepover just pretend it isn't happening.
However I don't know how to react when I hang out with them tomorrow. Do I tell them I know about it? Do I pretend I don't know? I'm really stuck here, help?
The thing that makes it awkward is they both lied about what they were doing. One of them said she was out at dinner, then she said she had people over and couldn't come online.

Okay so, you're not mad at them, but you just think it will be awkward when you hang out with them tomorrow, well, if they bring it up then you should say something about it like, "Yeah, I know you guys had a sleepover without me and I'm totally cool with it." But if they don't say anything about it, just leave it be and hopefully they will be truthful with you about it if they do that again without you. You can't pretend that you don't know about it, because you do, and if you can't get it off of your mind, just talk to them about ti and let them know how you feel. And yeah, myspace can be a reliable source for other people when they want info that can't be provided for them from the people conversing on myspace. haha

Well, when you go to his house make sure that you make an effort [and go out fo your way] to say hi to him and talk to him while hanging with his sister, and gradually go from there. I wouldn't immediatley tell him that you have a crush on him, and if he's smrt, he might be able to figure it out on his own, but once both of you are aquainted and comfortable around eachother, start hanging out with him instead of his sister for a little bit, and then tell him your true feelings and see where that takes you.

well, you could start out by hanging out with him at maybe the movies alone with him. whe you go to the movies, just say, "(name,) I really like you, more than just a friend." and wait for a response, i would wait until after the movies, waiting to be picked up. If he wants to take it slow, just take it cool, and make plans to meet up again somewhere next weekend. GoOd LuCk!!!

But I'm good with kids, and I think the safety of a child is first priority, I love kids so I'd never want anything to happen to a child. Well, me and my friend decided that tomorrow we were going to put flyers around her neighborhood (full of little kids). But could anyone give me any advice? How do you actually get the job? Do you need to write up a little resume, or talk to the person before you babysit? And how much should I ask for? I really want to get a new iPod touch and some other things by the end of the summer hopefully if I start now. Any other tips for emergencies? What's a best way to get the child to calm down? What if I don't know what to do in a situation, do I call the parent or my own mom? I just want some pointers so that I can do the best job possible. (link)

well, to start off, just remember: If you for ANY reason, have an emergency and you dont know what to do...do not hesitate to call 911 and/or your parents. when you go there, it seems overwhelming at first, but try not to be stiff, have a fun, inviting, friendly, yet responsible attitude. If they tell you anything, like notes on their bed times and whether or not they need to finish their food, or drink their milk, try to mentally remember it, or ask to write them down. Also, when they are done, just make sure its all in your head by repeating it to them...just say "okay, so (example...) sam needs to be in bed by 8, and mark has to finish his carrots and milk.
Try to socialize with the parents, and make yourself well-known...as well as well-known to the kids to. Just be sure to have fun, bring some board games, or some toys. Try to find out the ages, thats what i do.
you might want to bring something for you to occupy yourself with IF and WHEN all the kids are in bed, dont bring anything big, like a laptop, you dont want to make the parents think that you are going to be on the internet the whole time, and dont have you phone out or be texting when you go to their house.
maybe you want to bring a movie or two for them to watch. Dont worry, your instinct will step in, and not only will they have a fun time, but so will you! If there are many breakable things, then dont let the little ones run around. And dont be affraid to say "guys dont do that, someone will get hurt."
One of the most important things to ask are:
~what time do you think you will be home around
~can you repeat that? (if needed)
~contact info (number...place...etc)
~WHAT CAN/CANT THEY EAT? if they tell you something you can have but dont menchon whether the kids can have it or not (like soda) just ask, can the kids have soda too? because they will mostlikely want what your having, so out of respect, if they cant have soda, encourage them to drink milk by drinking it with them.
and if they refuse, and insist on having soda, just say, (in a cute nice kind of way) "how about we have some milk or water?" then kind of inforce it by saying "which one do you want?"

And he did it today 1/11/08 Around like 4:00PM.

I'm 15 and I just got my first baby sitting job a month ago, I was freaking out before hand because they were my neighbors grandchildren coming to visit and I was babysitting them for 2 days...the first day I baby sat 3 of them the second day I baby sat more of their grandchildren, 5 of the little angels! I didn't ask for any money, they just gave me it and I earned some real sweet cash haha :] Maybe you could ask for 5 or 7 an hour, start of small so they don't think your pushing it and plus, they don't know you so you wouldn't want to be rude. And for getting the job, the people who want you to babysit their kids will either call you or go to your house and pay you a visit, talking to you about a time and date [everything with deatils, so you better grab a pen and start taking notes when they talk to you about their expectations] and No, don't write a resume...that is like waaaaay too formal, this could be a one time thing with one family, so there really is no need for that. And the people you are babysitting for usually leave an emergency number for you, but if they don't ask them for one, they like that because they know that you are responsible and always ask where the band aids are haha, little kids are very clumsy :] But for other emergencies, call [obviously if it is an EXTREME emergency 9-1-1 but others call your family] And to calm down a child...well, it's different for every child and you will get used to their personalities, but what usually works is talking them in a soothing or fun voice, or try to settle them down by playing the "quiet game" and reward them afterwards. And don't worry, the kids usually tell you what they want to do, but bring some kid-friendly games along, just in case [twister and cranium cadoo, oh and apples to apples are big hits with the little ones]

m/14 like 2 weeks ago i was walking around town with my friend took out a pack of cigarettes he had stolen from his dad. He was walking around smoking and offered me one. I couldn't just say no so i took one. As soon as i grabbed it i felt like i was so powerful, and, i don't even no how to describe the feeling. it was great. i hadn't even lighted it yet. Then i lighted it up and started smoking. It tasted horrible but i just couldn't stop. I really liked it for some reason. now, two weeks later, i can't stop thinking about it. i want a cigarette so badly. i only had one but i want another so much! what am i supposed to do? it's ruining my life cause thats all i can think about now, and i am only 14, so i can't go get more. please help me! Why smoke when you can live?
See, that's what I don't understand, the only power you have when smoking cigarettes is the power to kill yourself without realizing it if you don't know the consequences or facts of smoking them and because that is what tobacco does to you. I'm 15 and I know peopel who have been smoking throughout middle school, but they quit because they knew their lives were in danger and plus, nobody likes a guy/girl with yellow teeth, raspy voice, lethery skin, older looking features [face is more wrinkled] and yellow fingers, i mean PUH-LEASE. What good is smoking anyways? Chew a piece of gum, or a whole pack if you need to, suck on candy [or mint] chew on a straw or something, but get your mind off of cigarettes, in the long run you WILL regret it, and I never even tried one because it is DISGUSTING. I for one, would not liek to kiss someone who has been smoking, YUCK. Make the right choice, smokign is not the way to go, and your young, why throw your life away to light a cigarette and smoke it when you could be playing sports and FYI, smoking does not get you in the cool category in anyones book, it just makes you a follower and a really bad role model.
Don't smoke, quit now.
It's enticing because your friends are doing it but be above the influence, fight the craving.

Sorry it's long!
Okay well I'm a 13 f, turning 14 on Valentine's b-day (Yeah I know huh?!?)Well anyway, as you probably know I'm in 8th grade. Well on my bus they have this guy named TJ, he's like two years older then me or something. His sister and younger brothers ride the bus ( Samantha is 17, Johnathan is 14, and Matthew is like...10) I just met everyone this year, as I moved to Rayville from New Orleans..(Big change btw...big city to country)...and TJ has been sweet to me, only now he's protective and told me if any guy messes with me, tell him and he'd "whup their ass" Now to my knowledge he's told a few people that. But he started acting like a brother to me. I knew something was up after i was dropping his sis off at her house and he had his arm around my waist in a half hug and i didn't think much of it until when i moved, he didn't let go.
As it turns out, yesterday he missed school, and today because he's sick, and he gave his sister a note, she gave it to me...it was a poem. Really cute actually.
I freaked. I was like 'OMG TJ LIKES ME?!?!?!?' Then I decided to reason. 'Maybe he just wanted me to read a poem he wrote.' Stupid I know. But today Sam told me he does like me. I don't know what to do. I like him but, and I'm not one to care what people think because it's like 'I like him, I'm happy, screw you.' if they don't like who I date. He'd be my 2nd boyfriend...but i'm erasing my old one from memory lol!
I don't know what to do. People would definatley tease us, especially my friend Mitzi because she'd get all weird even though she has a boyfriend. I just need to know what to do. With TJ and my friends. I like him and he's really sweet but my ex was a total jerk and I'm having problems letting myself give enough trust for another boyfriend. I don't want to 'go out' with him and then hurt him by not giving him the trust he deserves.

It's when a girl gets her "period" and blood comes out of your v area. You are ovulating and shedding the liner in your v, and ultimatley the eggs of unborn babies come out with the "cleaning" out of your v. It mostly means that you are maturing and that you will start to have changes in your body [physical and sometimes mental] There are signs of when you wil get your period, and what the symptoms are, just ask me and I'll give you any info you want or need to know about it.

i have a friend and i met her in the begining of this school year and she was cool at first but then changed overnigt like she tried to control me and she just cant seem to tell the truth alot everything someone says they do she does or has a friend that does it.....i dont get it why does she do that her parents kicked her out and now she lives with her exes mom and she hates but shes really smart....shes a mean person and no one can say anything to her wihtout her gettin angry!!!! its crazy!!!.... ive spent a night a few times and it was cool but back at school shes a totaly different person....she has a boyfriend but has only been going out with him for 3 months and shes crazy about him but she has her days were she talks shit about him alll the time mainly and i dont get her shs confusing i need help!!! should i stick around what should i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This all depeneds on how the realationship between the both of you works out...do you like spending time with her, or does it bother you waaaaay to much that she is a bit two-faced? If the answer to that question is yes, than don't hang out with her because she is probably going to ultimatley bring LOTS of drama into your life and utter chaos. BUT if your answer to that question was no, try sorting things out with her, ask her to be nicer to you and that you liek hanging out with her, but in school she needs to relax and not come off as a different person. If you don't want to let her go as a friend, don't. She peobably needs you to be her friend and stick around for the long haul because that's what TRUE friends do, they stay together through thick and thin, big and small, hard and easy, everything and anything. Maybe she just needs a true friend to guide her and help her become a better person, and maybe; maybe that friend will be you.

I saw this hilarious commercial the other day. It was for Monticello insurance. It said "priority #43: having a place to store perishable foods" and it shows these kids in a college dorm and the one guy (he's blond) looks in the fridge and starts screaming like a little girl. Then, it says "having a place to store anatomy class stuff: priority #1"

Okay so I got a really bad sunburn on my shoulder today spending an hour to walk to the nearest 7/11 and back. It's been the first day I haven't worn sunscreen all summer, because I didn't think I'd get sunburned.
Anyway, it's a pretty small spot, luckily and isn't hurting that much. However I'm still applying moisturiser to help but moisture back into my skin. My question is: How often should I apply the moisturiser on the sunburn?

well actualy i dont think that you should put mosturiser on it i think you should put a towel soaked in tea on your shoulder it really works and it feels so good but i you still want to use moisturiser then you should put it on maybe every 3-4 hours but i really prefer the tea i think it works best but whatever suits you good luck i hope i helped

All through High School, I've been trying to be really nice to everyone. One of my friends warned me that people would just take advantage of me, and it seems like she was right.
You see, I'm in college, and when I go home, I like to hang out with my home friends, but whenever I do, I feel excluded. They'll use me to drive them around, and we'll end up wasting the whole night. Then when I say we should hang out again, they say "uh huh" and forget about me until the next time they need me. I always listen to all their problems, but when I tell them mine, they don't care.
I hate being alone on vacations, and my school friends are all pretty far from me. What do I do? (link)
