ok so im the only girl on our schools basketball team and im the biggest tomboy in our whole school actualy im the only one anyway my friend (who is a boy all of my friends are boys except one) and i were shopping for school suplies and he asked me out i was so nervise i said that i would think about it i dont really like him for more as a friend he is cute but i wouldnt date him i just want to know what to do can you guys help thanks

I believe everyone deserves a chance its only one date who knows he can suprize you if it doesn't turn out so good you can always say that you just want to be friends try not to make it a big deal it may just lead to you 2 separating.

well if you dont really like him then you shouldnt go out with him. the next time you talk to him just say "your really nice and everything but i just only think of you as a friend"
there isnt really anything else you can do. just say how you feel. dont force yourself into a relationship you dont want to be in.

If you want to stay just friends, keep it simple, tell him that you rather be friends without dating becasue your not ready for a relationship or that you don't want that to ruin or interfere with the friendship you guys have now. It probably won't hurt his feelings or e-go if you put it in a nice and friendly way, just don't stop talking to him afterwards, you might give him the wrong impression that you don't want any sort of relationship with him.
