queenhearts answered Friday January 11 2008, 9:50 pm: I think the advice below me is wrong. That's describing menstruation.
It's called Premenstrual Syndrome. A girl's horomones change before having her period, notice the "pre-" Usually the symptoms go away once her flow starts but it could also carry through her whole period.
It's when a woman starts to get abdominal bloating, cramping, breast tenderness, stress, anxiety, depression, appetite changes, food cravings [example, chocolate], headaches, insomnia, swelling of the breasts, acne [breakouts]
Basically she may get extremely irritated and upset easily. That's why some men will joke about PMS and how woman's moodswings are their worst nightmare blah blah. [ queenhearts's advice column | Ask queenhearts A Question ]
orphans answered Friday January 11 2008, 9:36 pm: PreMenstrual Syndrome (in abrevitation is PMS)
It's when a girl gets her "period" and blood comes out of your v area. You are ovulating and shedding the liner in your v, and ultimatley the eggs of unborn babies come out with the "cleaning" out of your v. It mostly means that you are maturing and that you will start to have changes in your body [physical and sometimes mental] There are signs of when you wil get your period, and what the symptoms are, just ask me and I'll give you any info you want or need to know about it.
