What charity would you like to support and why?

Hey! This is sure an interesting question..

Personally, I would love to support a TON of charities, but here are a few that I would probably pursue giving money to in my adult life:

Its called Just Give. Its for abused animals. It SICKENS me when people abuse animals. I don't understand what could bring someone to do horrid things to animals. So I would most likely give to a charity like this [it doesn't necessarily mean I would do this particular charity, just one similar to it].

This is the Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes. My family actually does give to this charity every year, and we do actually go walk. It raises money to help find a cure to Type 1 [or Juvenile] Diabetes. I think its a great cause, and it would be a nice one to check out, if that's why you're asking us.

Okay, so what do you guys look for in a girl? All my friends say you only look for looks and style. I have neither of them. I'm only free spirited. I'm really confident too, but my friends why, guys hate girls who a like me. Is this true?

Me: I'm 5'2', 13/f. I have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. I love to write books, history and being creative. I love watching TV. I'm not a genius. Dogs are my animals, i love to talk.

I really and honestly think that you would be a good person to go out with- in that you love to write books, you like history, you like being creative, you like dogs, and you like to talk. I like all of those things- and its not just because I like them that I would be willing to give you a shot- its that you have passion for things. You may not think you have looks or style, but you have to have at least a little bit.
I myself tend to look for girls who aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe in, are "free-spirited" [much like you], and just have an outstanding personality.
It seems that you have an outstanding personality, so if any guys reject you or don't like you because you're not "hot" or whatever- they are shallow. Only shallow guys look for girls with just looks. I like personality and I bet you that most guys will say the same thing, whether they want to admit it or not. =]

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for 7 months and the other day on the phone, randomly he goes, i wish i could see you, and hug you every second of the day.

Yes, its totally weird. BUT! Love is a weird think. Love is strange, unpredictable, and kind of scary at times. Love is also sweet.

so i was talking to this guy on tuesday on myspace and we were talking about hanging out, i told him i wanted to get to know him better and he said he thought that was a good idea
i sent him another message yesterday morning
and now its almost 2 days later and he hasnt messaged me back
ive seen him online and hes the one who approached me
so why isnt he talking to me?
it isnt like a huge deal, i just think its weird that he would get up the nerve to ask me to a movie and then when i try talking to him he doesnt respond
any idea what could be going on?

There could be many reasons he hasn't responded.

-Maybe he's busy and can't think of a way to tell you that he can't hang out this week.
-He's nervous and doesn't know how to respond.
-His myspace is messed up and isn't showing that you sent him a message
-He doesn't want to respond because he just met you.

Either way, I think you should send one more message, but don't act like a bitch or anything. Ask him politely why he didn't respond, because it very well could be the 3rd option.

ok so i was getting fingered and (ive never been fingered before by the way) it really hurt. Like it felt good because we were in the moment but it still hurt. I had to tell him to stop a few times just because i needed a break. is there something wrong with me?

Nope. I've heard from many answers on this site saying that it is perfectly normal to feel some pain when you're fingered. I guess [I'm assuming, because I'm not a girl] that you're fine and will be fine.

Okay, i met this guy (Steve) last weekend. and he is incredible. he lives way over the other side of Australia though. he was here on holidays and i met him out clubbing. we talk every day and he is going to move here. the strange thing is that i'm not usually like this. i'm a very guarded person - afraid of getting hurt. my last boyfriend and i were together for 8 months and he was head over heals for me. i tried so hard to love him back but when i finally realised i didn't i had to end it. he didn't take it well. he cried and yelled and i felt so terrible. i hadn't dated since him. he wanted to move closer to me (only half an hour drive) and i said i didn't want him to do that on my account. now here i am telling Steve that i want him to move accross the country and i've only known him a week. could it really be love at first sight? i cant imagine my life without him. should i back off? or tell him not to move for me? i'm so confused! HELP!

It very well could be. But you shouldn't try to do anything too rash before you really get to know Steve. If he's willing to move across the country [I'm assuming he's around 20], then he obviously likes you in someway. That doesn't necessarily mean its love- he could very well be just wanting you for sexual reasons [sex or whatever else]. Just because you "can't imagine your life without him" after just one week of knowing him for less than a week, doesn't make it love. I think it would be safe to call that lust. That surely doesn't mean "back off", it just means to be careful. You don't know Steve too well and you don't want to dive to deep into this too fast. Take it slow and see how it works out. Don't feel rushed to do anything you don't want to.

i love volleyball so much and im going to 8th grade next year. we have sports.. but no volleyball in middle school, just high. it think we should be able to do vball so girls can get ready for JV and Varsity, and also cause some people dont really know what vball is about till high school, then they realise they arent good enough, since the volleyball they play in gym is not the same as real volleyball. anyways, i live in new jersey.. and er.. what are things i can do to like get my board of education to let us do volleyball before Fall (vball season)? i'll be really dedicated to it.. since i really wanna do it and have a vball team next year.

First, write a letter to your District's Superintendent. Tell him why you think Volleyball would be a good addition to your middle school. Make sure to give strong arguments: not just "I really want volleyball because its totally fun!".
Your letter should look something like this:

Dear Superintendent [Their last name]:

Hello, my name is _________. [Begin to explain three reasons why volleyball would be a good addition].

One reason volleyball would be a good addition is _________. [Continue to explain- this should be your weakest argument].

Another reason is _____________. [Your stronger argument].

[Now have a conclusion restating the arguments.]

Also- have your friends and classmates sign a petition to have volleyball be integrated into your school. You should get at least 200 signatures, and make sure the petition looks official.

ok i was reading this magazine and in the magazine there were about 100 guys who described there perfect girl.

most said "caring, thoughtfull" but some of them described appearances. 1 guy said "preferebly long, brown hair" and the other said "curly, brunette hair" but none of them said blonde.

i have short blonde hair, and i was wondering if guys really do care about hair color or style.

Honestly, I don't even pay attention to a girl's appearance AS MUCH AS I do the personality. A girl's personality is KEY. If a girl is a bitch, but she's the best looking- I won't pursue her. If a girl is really smart, funny, and kind and caring- but she's not necessarily the best looking- I'll give her a try. Granted, if she's butt ugly, I might not want to date her persay, but I would like to be her friend.
So, looks certainly are important, yes, but truly and honestly, I chase after a girl with a winning personality.
If you're trying to impress a guy, be yourself, and don't listen to a magazine- they are trying to make you conform. =]

well before my and bf started going out he was about to go out with this other girl. but we ended up being together anyways. one time i got on my bf's myspace and i was 1st on his top but then the other girl was 2nd. i shrugged it off. now i just added that girl as my friend on myspace and her name is 'summer_love' and everything on her page is about love love love and guess who 1st on her tops? yes, my bf. i dunno if i'm just paranoid or something's up. any advice?

Relax. Its myspace. MySpace isn't a reason to think your boyfriend is cheating on you. He's going to have other friends that are girls, and you need to realize that. He doesn't do this if you have a guy on your top. Remember: its JUST myspace.

I would like to know if you have thawed frozen meat and foods and then refroze them are they safe to cook and eat?

Most are. As long as you make sure to reheat the meat to the appropriate temperature. Check the package you bought the meat in and it will probably tell you what you can do with it.

well, i just downloaded limewire, and i'm worried i'm going to get arrested! everyone i know uses it, and no one has ever got in trouble. my question is, how would they find out im using it to get me in trouble? would they arrest me? give me a fine? how much? andd, what are the chances of them finding out?

The only way you're going to get caught is if you massively download music. That is, if you download a song per minute for an entire year, I think you're going to get caught.
As for a fine, I would assume its $50-$100 dollars.

And I use limewire. You don't see me arrested, do you?

I guess its ironic that the rose is killing the heart. I guess it symbolizes that love [both represented by the rose and the heart] will be its own demise. So if you mess with love, it won't be good.

Well wen i was 10 i was raped and all of my friends know well one of my friends told me that she wants 2 get raped(she's a virgin)just so she doesn't have 2 be the only virgin in our cliqué and so she stays on her myspace talking 2 perves im scared 4 her she says on monday she is going 2 meet somebody and im scared she is going 2 get raped and that the person is going 2 kill her so i need advice fast before i might not ever see her again

Tell her that she's pretty dumb. She WANTS to get raped? Does she know that over half of girls who are raped are also killed afterward. Tell her she doesn't need to lose her virginity to be a part of your friends. Tell her parents what she's doing, if you have to. Heck, tell the police. I don't know.. just do what you can to stop her; she's playing with fire. =/

Do I have ear cancer or a tumor or something because im scared. My ear has been hurting for the past few months. No infection, apparently. I'm waiting for my mom to make an appointment lately but she keeps forgetting and gets mad because I keep reminding her and she said she doesnt need to be reminded. So why cant she just do it!

Anyways my ear has been hurting, my left ear. Sometimes when I turn my head it sends like a piercing pain through my ear! It HURTS! Also, I realized today that when I put in my earphones for my ipod in my ear, the one in my left ear is tighter then the right one -- IS THAT A GROWING TUMOR?!!?!?

Because I'm REALLY scared. I know ear cancer is rare-ish but its SCARY. I DONT WANT CANCER. I am only 13!!!!! and F btw

First: calm down. You'll be fine. Second: Tell your mom that you're actually scared about this- and that she NEEDS to schedule that appointment. Sit her down and have her call, because you need to get to a doctor. I doubt that its cancer, but I also doubt that anyone on this site can diagnose you with cancer.
So the important thing is to get your mom to get you to the doctor. This sort of sounds serious.

ok i really like like this girl and she really likes likes me but i already asked her out but shes taking alot of time to say that she will go out with me and she says she does want to and she always hits at it and like kisses me on msn and stuff. what should i do?????

My advice: don't wait around for love. You should confront her one last time, and ask her what her decision is. If she doesn't answer, I think you should try to find someone who won't make you wait. Its not fair to you or her.
