Truly, it can be both. But half the people who are singers today had talent but also were taught by vocal coachs. So don't be surprised if you go to a vocal coach and are really a good singer. Many people go to vocal training and eventually have great voices. It depends on the level of training, and how well you sing originally. But anyone can be a good singer.

i think that it's both. i know a lot of people who are just naturally good singers, and a few others that i know have been terrible singers in the past and now take voice lessons and do musicals and stuff. you can be taught, i think. when oprah winfrey got a new theme song for her show or whatever, she had started taking voice lessons for a few months so that she could actually sing it! is that not cool? but yeah, if you really want to sing and are willing to give a lot of effort, you can go to a vocal coach and they will help you a lot.

It's both. Most people are born with it, but it can also be taught to someone who doesn't sing well.
Personally, I'm a soprano [I have a high voice], and that's a natural thing for me. It always has been.
So it's both.

The stepping stones of singing well need to be something that you are born with. If you are not born with the skills then you can always go to singing lessons and learn different tones, notes and rhythm.

i have the worrsssttt singing voice in the world haha

Well alot of people are born with that talent but even if you arent you can still be taught it and get the best out of your voice but if after your taught it and you still stink at it I would go for something else lol

The amazing singers? They're generally born with it, or started so early that it's practically the same thing.

Personally? I have always been able to sing, but I honed my talents in choir classes. Now, I say I'm good, but I've got nothing on Agina. :]

You know I think that it depends on your opinion...because I think that if your born and you are like tone deaf or something i mean you know it would take alot of effort to get it right...but i mean i also think that if you cant sing and then you get taught i mean you can totally be taught! It may be something that you need to work at though! But you can...you dont need to be born with it!Bye!

you can definaltly learn to sing, nobdy is born with a perfect singing voice, it is something that has to be worked for. sure everyones voices may sounds different, but everyone, if givin enough practice can learn to sing. although some voices may sound better than others, that is what distinguishes everyones unique voice. so the answer is yes it can be taught and requires some practice for anyone, everyone has worked for their singing voices
