Hello. I'm 14 years old and I have never gotten drunk or high. Most of the girls that I know all go out partying with boys, and I feel like such a loser because I don't do anything and they have all these guy friends and I have maybe like 3 really good guy friends who I hang out with. Is this normal? I mean how old were you people when you first got drunk? I know I'm so gay for writing this, but it really bothers me. I'm really afraid of being like 17 and staying in every weekend reading a book by myself because I have no friends. omg i know how gay this sounds i'm sorry!
Listen. Don't feel like you should get drunk and "go partying with boys" just because everyone else is doing it.
Do you realize the negative effects of underage drinking?
http://camy.org/factsheets/index.php?FactsheetID=13
http://www.cops.usdoj.gov/mime/open.pdf?Item=1360
http://www.popcenter.org/problems/problem-underage-drinking.htm
http://www.hopenetworks.org/addiction/alcohol/Consequences.htm
Point- its dumb and idiotic to do something like that at a young age of 15 solely because other people are doing it.
Those are the people that won't make anything of their lives. Do you really want that?
Who cares if you're 17 and "staying in every weekend reading a book" by yourself. That won't happen. You're going to make friends in the next few years. I guarantee it. In school- just make small talk with classmates- and it will develop into a great friendship. Trust me.. that's how over half of my friendships now started.
And you don't sound "gay". Its normal to feel left out because you aren't doing what everyone else is doing. I've felt like that.. but you have to think about your future. Do you want to be an alcoholic with kids you won't even care about and you'll barely know your husband? Or do you want to be successful and have a great family?
The choice is yours, but please hear what I have to say!

Okay im 13/f i live in michigan. and i cant seem too firgure out if this guy likes me!!! He flirts with me all the time. and i just dont know.. He has a gf.. but idk. we seem too talk all the time when we hang out. I just dont know. Pleaaaseee help me! I dont know what too do! Thanks..
-Please help me
♥x♥
Hello- How's Michigan? [I reside there as well].
Anyway- I think that most guys are naturally flirtatious. I know that I am. Even when I was going out with my ex-girlfriend- I was still flirty to friends that are girls. That doesn't mean I like them- it just means that I don't change how I act regardless of my relationship status. That doesn't mean I'm not faithful to a girlfriend- it just means I'm being myself. This guy could be like me, but since he has a girlfriend.. he most likely likes her..
If you ever want to know for sure- just ask him. You shouldn't feel embarrassed to ask.
I don't suggest coming in between the relationship already set in stone. That never ends well.

I'm sorry- the profile you give is private.
Maybe ask the girl what the name of her song is- as none of us can just guess if we can't see her profile.
Sorry.

ok well i have not had a boyfriend in a little over one year. it is most likely because i am not that attractive. so i am going to start a new me. anyone especially boys tell me what boys like to see in girls and maybe what style and makeup and stuff to look like. please write back asap. i want to do this before school starts again!! thanks!
Hello.
One thing I'm going to tell you right away is something you aren't going to like to hear:
DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, change yourself JUST to get a boyfriend.
This might help:
http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=505520
Here was my answer:
First- I'm going to tell you that relationships aren't all they are cracked up to be. Sure- they are fun having someone to share things with and be with. But they involve a huge commitment and if you end up with someone who is clingy- they'll want to be with you every minute of every day- and you might not have time for friends or anything else you want to do. I say this because my ex-girlfriend was sort of like that- and got mad if I was busy with other plans.. and it was just really retarded. I haven't had a girlfriend since then [last December, I believe].
Anyway- the best way to attract a guy is to be yourself. If you try to change yourself just to get a boyfriend [especially at your age]- you'll just end up with someone who only likes you for what you've become- not who you are. If you be yourself- and don't change- you'll attract more guys who actually care about your personality rather than just your looks.
I myself like any type of girl. I honestly don't judge looks as much as I do personality. If a girl is absolutely stunningly beautiful, but she's a bitch- why would I like her? What would our relationship be? What would we talk about? Her latest hair extensions? Yeah- that would be REALLY nice *Sarcasm: Party of one!*...
If a girl has a really nice personality- and she's really outgoing and sweet and nice and smart- and she's not necessarily the best looking girl- but she's not super unattractive- then I'll most likely want to date her over the beautiful bitch.
Do you get what I'm saying? If you let guys see your personality more than your looks- you'll end up with someone great. Trust me- most guys prefer personality over looks- they just don't know it yet =].

Im 16/f and my cousin has cancer. He is 8 years old and has only 10% chance of living. The cancer started in his legs and now is in his back. He has tumors in his legs and one by his heart. His back bones are disinagrating(spelling) and today we found out that the cancer ate his leg bone away and now his leg is broke.
This is so hard for me. But im a cheerleader and was thinking about having a carwash for him, giving his parents all the money, even if its only 100$. Do you think thats a good idea? And does anyone have any ideas to raise money. We are doing a poker run and a golf thing. And almost all the money for those thigns are going to him. Any ideas that I can do? Please help. thank you!
I think that's a great idea- and I think its really considerate of you to do this for your cousin.
Here are a few options for fund-raising:
-A bake-sale
-A garage sale [your parents probably wouldn't mind giving the money to a family member].
-Going door-to-door asking for monetary donations. Explain the cause- and people will probably give.
-If you live in a state where pop cans/bottles are returnable for money- then you can do a bottle drive- and ask people for pop cans/pop bottles- and you can take them back to the store- and get money; it adds up quickly.
-Car washes are always a good idea- get your cheer team involved.. People will come.. you ARE cheerleaders.. haha =].
Hopefully those ideas will help you! I will pray for your cousin!

okay. well me and my boyfriend have been going out for almost 3 monthes now. and i kinfof want to do more than makeout but imm scared if i talk to him about it seriously he'll think im a slut and break up with me. and if i say it jokingly he obviously wont take it seriously. helpp.
Thanks for asking to my inbox- despite the fact that I'm bemused that you're asking ME of all people...
Anyway.. relationships are based on a few things: trust and communication. If you can't tell him that you want to do more- how will he know? I'm almost positive he can't read minds. Should you ever want something in a relationship- the only way you're going to get it is to tell your boyfriend or girlfriend what you want. They won't just assume you're wanting something if you don't say it.
If he thinks you're a slut for asking- he isn't right for you.

when you had a best friend that became your boyfriend, is it possible to become boyfriend to best friend again? =/
Well first- I'm a guy. This is the opposite for you then.
I had a best friend who became my girlfriend. Afterward- we were still friends- but maybe not as great as we were before [we had to go to separate schools].
But- I think what you're asking is very possible. It just takes some forgiving and forgetting in order to accomplish friendship again. It is a two-person effort. If one person doesn't care or doesn't want it- then it most likely won't work. If both people are committed to becoming friends again- then it very well could work. You just have to try and believe!

SO i'm in a play in this little theater. It's snow white and i'm the evil witch. Also i'm 13. My mom said something to me yesterday that got me thinking. She said "you never know if talent scouts are watching you , i hear the come to little places like that, so try your best". So I started wondering, what is that "thing" or "things" that make a talent scout go up to someone and tell them they have the potential to be professional? It can't just be that you are a good actress/ actor cause alot of kids I seen are and no talent scout contacted them. So what is it? If you aren't involved in acting can you please not answer this? Thanks.
Hello. I think you were the same person who asked the question about your dad... If not.. whatever.
But I am involved in acting and theater. I think this "thing" you're talking about is "moxie".
mox·ie /ˈmɒksi/[mok-see]
–noun Slang.
1. vigor; verve; pep.
2. courage and aggressiveness; nerve.
3. skill; know-how.
Specifically the 3rd entry.
That "thing" involves you knowing what you're doing- you know your character in and out. You know them almost better than yourself. You could instantly tell someone about your character's 5th birthday, their favorite ice cream, etc.
If you know your character really well- you can portray them better than you could ever imagine!
Secondly, you have to give your acting your all. If you come off like you're slacking- you don't have "that thing". If you act JUST RIGHT, you're sure to accomplish the "thing". Practice your lines. Say them in different ways- see what works best for you and your character. Sometimes this means stepping out of your comfort zone and truly BECOMING your character.
Third- if you can make the audience actually believe 101% that you ARE the evil witch- you'll be better than you ever thought. One day, try just acting the way you think that the evil witch would. Sure- this may be awkward.. but remember what I said about stepping out of your comfort zone?
Here's a great way to help you to get to know your character [for any play/scene/whatever]. Take out a piece of paper and write down everything you can think of about them: What they like to eat; Are they married?; stuff like that. Try to fill up an entire page, front and back. Read this list over and over- and then act out a scene as the character [whether on your own or in front of a family member/friend] and try to perfect their movements, oddities, quirks, speech, etc.
Hope that helps.. and I really only know this because I took an acting class.. It was a GREAT class!

I don't know why, but I'm hungry ALL THE TIME!!! I hate it. I snack all the time, mostly on things like cheese and crackers, fruit, vegies....but no matter what i do, nothing makes me feel full...and i'll end up eating something bad for me, like some sort of cookies when i can't find anything healthy left to eat. When i eat a giant meal, of course i get full. But about 30 minutes later i feel like i could eat another meal. it's so crazy, and i feel like i've gained weight because of it. What can i do to stop being hungry so much??
This may not help much- but hunger is sometimes actually stimulated by boredom. No joke. If you find yourself watching TV when "NOTHING IS ON!", and you suddenly walk into the kitchen- you know you're bored. Go outside and do something.
http://www.discoverfun.com/freeinfo/500fun/when_severly_bored.html
That list might help. Here are a few of my favorites:
# Blow on a blade of grass
# Crank up some music
# Cut out photos and paste them on Popsicle sticks and have a puppet show
# Eat
# Eat 6 spoon full of sugar, a soda, and another think that makes you hyper and then you won't be bored anymore, you will end up finding something to do... trust us
# Learn how to fake an accent
# Make a humorous crank phone call
# Make an entertaining phone answering-machine message
# Make up poems or songs about your boredom
# Nap
# Play cards
# Play Dead
# Play house with yourself
# Play with marbles
# Pretend that you are not bored
# Read some comic books
# See how long you can hold your breath
# Send a tune with keypad numbers on the phone
# Sing even if you can't
# Spin until you're dizzy
Haha- those are so much fun.
Other than that- you can try this search to help you slow hunger.. maybe you can find something:

im on birth control an i want to get pregant
If you're on birth control- you can't get pregnant. It stops your ability to get pregnant.
So if you want to get pregnant- you should get off the birth control. It may take a couple of weeks for you to be able to get pregnant.

i have a friend in indiana
andi live in illinois
i have unlimited texting for verizon
to any company
if my friend doesnt have verizon
does it cost money cause its a different state
or does it cost the same even though its a different state
No- it doesn't cost any extra to send to someone from a different state, country or even world [haha- that last one is a joke, obviously]. What matters is what cell phone carrier they have. But, since you apparently have unlimited texts to any company- you're fine. However- I'm pretty sure that that plan doesn't exist with Verizon... I could be wrong- but you might want to recheck your text plan... because I'm pretty sure all plans have unlimited to Verizon, and only so many [whether it be 100, 500, 1,000 or whatever] out of network.
Just check to make sure.. I could be wrong.

I was raised a Catholic, but I'm feeling more agnostic now.
Can anyone give me some scientific proof that God is real? And don't give me that, "I have a friend that claims he saw 'him'" crap. That's not PROOF to me.
No links please.
And why do the God-worshippers refer to God as *Him* with capitalized letter on the H, astricts, and all? Uh, it's not necessary.
Thanks in advance too!
Just to warn you- this may not be what you want to hear- but rate my response on how it answered the TWO questions.
There isn't SCIENTIFIC proof God exists, I believe.. but that doesn't mean He doesn't. There is the Bible- as the person below says. Its really about faith. I mean- if He just came out and showed himself- people would be scared out of their minds.
If you don't believe- no one can make you. If you're looking for proof, no offense, but you obviously are doubting the existence of and therefore don't believe in Him despite the proof you get.
I'm more answering this to address your 2nd question. Its actually a matter of grammar to capitalize "He", "Him", etc. Its a deity term, which means its related to religion. Whether you think God is God, Buddha or whatever- its capitalized. It is used to distinguish a religious deity from a normal, everyday Joe. And it is very necessary.

K so i dated this guy for like a month untill yesterday, hes realllly hot & cool to hang with... & tues. night we went out to a really nice dinner with the people he works with. We wore dresses, suits, ect. & after his co workers went to a cabin on a lake 2 hours away.. I didnt go kas i need to get home kas i live an hour away. anyway... i told him to be good & all & it seemed like we were ok ...but then the next day he texts me that he cant b with me anymore kas he got drunk & lost his virginity to some other girl.. i didnt really get all that upset..i didnt cry or anything.. i was just like ok.. thanks for telling me see you at tcu in the fall... so now were not talking & this friend of the family was like well you can still b with him if you want ...its just sex..no big deal.. & now im confused...i dont want to be with him anymore...but do i have the right to b mad at him? it was only a month but we were exclusive? bleh it makes me so frustrated..anyway any advise on my situation? thanks
Honestly- you have every right to be mad at him. There are three reasons:
1.) He broke up with you over a text message. This is BEYOND lame and shallow. If he had something to tell you- it should have been in face-to-face conversation. He obviously wasn't man enough to face you in person.
2.) He got drunk. People who drink this early in their life will most likely become alcoholics. Is this someone you want to be with? Someone who can't control themselves enough to not get drunk.
3.) He went off and had sex with someone else. He C-H-E-A-T-E-D on you. Cheated! My personal philosophy is "Once a cheater- always a cheater". If you go back to him- he'll know that he can get away with it again.
He isn't worth it. Find someone who won't text message break up, get drunk, and cheat on you. Trust me, there are plenty of guys out there that DON'T do that stuff.

I'm going to be in a production of Snow White and i'm the old witch. I'm really embarrased though because I have to do and say alot of things that aren't like me, and my WHOLE FAMILY will be watching. I have to talk in this really old, high voice and walk down the theater aisle screaming stuff like "apples for sale". I would have alot of fun doing that if no one I knew was watching me. And I know that isn't possible. Like I KNOW MY DAD WILL MAKE FUN OF ME. Like when i'm being mean to him some time after the play ended he'll start imitating me doing the which. Already he found out i'm walking down the aisle and he started imitating me and making fun of me. I tried to tell him to stop but he just laughed at me. What can I do to solve this nervousness problem?
Hello.
I, like you, are involved in theater.. only I'm just involved in school plays and productions. This past year, I was in a play called "Our Town" and I was Baseball Player #2 and Dead Man #2... nothing special, I know.. but every part is the same, as they say. I was, even with a small part, incredibly nervous. In fact- whenever I present something I'm always nervous of what friends or family may think of me. I know how you feel. My dad is a lot like yours.. he picks at me, but I know he only does it because he loves me and he loves to see me irritated.. I do the same to him.
I bet your dad is no different. I know that the whole "talking to him" thing doesn't work- so I'm not going to tell you to do that.
When you're acting your part, whether your dad is there or not- you need to put ALL YOU'VE GOT into your acting. If you do this- you'll be awesome! If you do an outstanding job- you could really make your dad proud.. my dad was of me- and I didn't even think I did that well. If he picks on you about it- it may just be his way of saying you did great!
Just go out there and do your best. I'm sure your dad will be nothing but proud of his "little girl".
