I have this gown (for my bat mitzvah) and it is salmon pink and very see through. I can't wear regualr underwear because it shows through. I could wear no underwear because its pretty long. I could wear a thong, but of course i have to buy one. Which option should I go for?

wear a slip if its see thro!! thats gross if you can see that you are obviously wearing a thong or regular underwear so pleasssee get a slip then you can just wear whatever underneath it. trust me...

I would like a girl to answer this for me. I not sure when I'm going to start my period I have had blood from down there but that was last year and it hasn't happend since and I have all the signs that I'm going to get what should I do???

that one time could have been a false alarm that wasnt the actual thing. i know it sounds crazy, but girls ive talked to say that it happened but wasnt enough to call a period. anyway, my advice is to not worry about it until it comes. my mom got it wayyy before me and i was freaking out when i was that age, only to find out that it came about a year and half- 2 years after hers. the first time you get it there wont be much...its not like a bloody river rushing into your undies and onto all your clothes. (sorry so graphinc) lets ust say i had the signs for a lonnggg time before i got it. if oyu want, keep panty liners in your bookbag/gymbag. thats pretty much all you need. tampons shouldnt be used when you dont have it and i dont recommend using them when you dont have a lot so stick to liners. dont freak out just yet!

give her a good reason you want one such as: pantylines. you dont like them, neither does the rest of the world. do not say: but mom, sally, jess AND laura have one! (doesnt work...EVER!) so say that is just underwear with less cloth and you will only wear it when you NEED to so you wont get an infection or somthing if thats what shes worried about. next time your shopping for lingerie or whatever, pull out a PLAIN thong (see kohls' selection) that isnt sexy but does the job...then shell see whats going on and get you that one. after a while im sure shell come around and let you wear other ones with prints and all sorts of cool things. i dont really recommend getting one and hiding it, shell find out sooner or later but if you must, careful and dont let her see it! hope that helps!

okay well.. i have my period but i dont carry a purse beacuse im like the tomboy type and everyone would make a big deal if i do.. so what can i do to carry tampons without have to use a purse and dont say pockets please!! what do i do if i get it during school? how long can you keep a tampon in for? and i have a gym bag should i put them in there and go to the bathroom after ? beacuse that would be like. 5 1/2 hours is that too long? if so what else can i do to hide them? isnt tss if you leave it in for more then 10 hours? i need help and fast! i rate 5's help me please!!

you can put them 1 in a pocket. as for how long...it can be there 8 hours but after around 4 i would be concerned about leaks. keep in in your gym bag or in a pocket in your backpack.

I want to start using tampons but I know my mom hates them because she just read something about a 14 year old getting that toxic shock syndrom from them. I'm active (like sports) and I'm really getting sick of using pads. I just don't know how to tell her I want to start using them because I'd get a bad reaction plus she's never used them and it'd be awkward asking her. HELP

hmmm well then. TSS is rare and its not just 14 year olds that get it. i know a someones mom who got it...yeah age wont change the fact that someone can be irresonsible. just wear them during the day and wear a pad at night. the way i did (i dont hink my mom had a problem with it but she was a bit surprised) i just took one of hers to try it out because i had cross country the next day then i just told her i needed a different size so she pretty much had to get them for me. so what you can do is just get them yourself at school in bathrooms or go to target or a convineice store near you, get some other junk and throw in some tampons. the box has instructions and be sure to use a mirror to help you. oh, and if you want to hide the evidence, get cardboard tampons...theyre a bit harder to use but you can flush it down because its completely biodegradable. hope that helps!

well your gonna hve to wear one of them during your period! unless you want a big ole stain or puddle under ya. so for pads, dont get super de duper bulky ones...go thin. they shouldnt be a huge problem. as for tampons...they shouldnt hurt. try a smaller one and relax your muscles...use a mirror to help you get in it and out.

My best friend is 13 and I'm almost 14. I got my period last november and she still hasnt gotten it.

So we were talking about it one nite because i got it that nite. So she was like damn it I want mine and I was like you shouldnt. Than she was like my mom told me that when your friends get their periods your more likely to get yours around that time too. I was like really thats weird.

Well i got mine like 2 years after most of my friends but when she does have it theres something that make you and the people you spend a lot of time with come around the same time. i dunno why that is but i can see some problems arising from that lol. i can understand your friend...she feels left out and immature so all you can do is reassure her that every woman gets it and she most likely wont want it when she has it.

hollister babe is right...you have 30 days and in some cases 30 and 90 days to return it. this is the back of the receipt: if you are not satisfied with your purchase, and the merchandise is unwashed and unworn, return it for an exchange or refund, if you have the original receipt, HCO will refund the item based on the original form of payment....(checks have to be in within 15 days for store credit)
if you mom paid, she might be asked for some ID so you might have to have her with you especially if it was on credit. it doesnt give you a spcific number of days but you MUSTTTTT have you receipt so dont lose it!!(or get anything on the pants) you cant return them online but im sure your mom will come around in a while...you have a while so dont freak out. hope that helps!

well first see what dress you want...you can get a really hot one for about $35 at DEB and then you can get a really hot one at dillards for $150 so first put in how much you will need including shoes and acesories if you dont have them already. then think about what you can do: babysitt (number 1 money maker!), donate old clothes to goodwill and use the cash your parents get as a tax-deductable to buy your dress, swap dresses you have with some of your friends, reff for soccer games if you have a liscence, work some magic on a dress you already have (sew in the sides, cut a lower neck), go to platos closet and get one that was worn once for $10 that you can easily borrow from parents, do chores for your parents or wash thier cars for $, and if none of that works, borrow $$ from your parents and pay them back slowly but surely. good luck!

hi. i never excericise. i don*t play sports, i don*t run or walk much, and i don*t work out. but i realized that i really want nice abs, so i*m trying to come up with a plan for me to do a number of crunches a day for 2 months to get nice abs. so far i*ve decided to do 50 crunches every night and 40 every morning. do you think that i*ll have abs in 2 months? if not how many should i do then?

that sounds like a great plan to me but it really depends on how you were when you start out, know what i mean? dont expect results right away and dont give up! also, quality vs. quantity... go slow on the way down to make them work your abs more. its better to do 40 good ones than 80 crappy ones. you could also do reverse crunches (leg lifts)...it you can swing one leg up at a time while keeping the other one off the ground, that will do wonders for your abs. good luck!
