Periods Periods Periods....
My best friend is 13 and I'm almost 14. I got my period last november and she still hasnt gotten it.
So we were talking about it one nite because i got it that nite. So she was like damn it I want mine and I was like you shouldnt. Than she was like my mom told me that when your friends get their periods your more likely to get yours around that time too. I was like really thats weird.
Now is this a true statement or a wild guess I mean because to me it sounda a little out there.
Its a little weird so i didnt know where to put this question.

yes that is true just like if you live with girls you may get your period at the same time I havent started yet eather but I talk to my mom a lot my sister and my mom get it at the same time to.so I hope i answered you qeustion clear please mail me or give me a comment thanks.

Yeah it is a little weird, but yeah you kinda do get yours coincidentally around all your friends. ( which is good cause if you don't have a pad or anything, they might =D ) i don't know why, but whenever I get mine, my best friend gets her like.. 2 days later. But then some of my friends don't. So yeah it's kinda of a yes/no thing. I hope I helped!

Well i got mine like 2 years after most of my friends but when she does have it theres something that make you and the people you spend a lot of time with come around the same time. i dunno why that is but i can see some problems arising from that lol. i can understand your friend...she feels left out and immature so all you can do is reassure her that every woman gets it and she most likely wont want it when she has it. <3

yeah its pretty true...and convienent too...because if you dont have a pad or tampon chances are someone will. but yeah...one of my best friends and i always get our periods around the same time. not sure why it is. but its a pretty true statement. :)

well, yes because most of your friends are around the same age as you...you tend to get your period the same time as they do. but that doesnt mean you HAVE to. like ive had mine for almost a year...yeah a year a couple months...and my friend STILL hasnt got hers. so its normal but usally you get it around the same time. some get it early, some late, some average. it just means they will have it for a little longer than you. well, i hope i helped. get back to be. =)

well its not ALWAYS true, but sometimes the people you hang around with, you guys get them around the same time, me and my friends always get em around the same week.. so kinda..

It is sometimes true that when women are around each other a lot that their periods come at around the same time. When I was in college, most of the girls on my floor in the dorm had periods around the same week.
However, your friend won't get her first period until her body is ready and reached that point in her hormonal growth.

Well I know that if lets say you your mom and sister all had you periods that eventually you all would get them at the same time. But I don't think that just because yo have yours means that she is going to get hers. But you never know. But yeah I have never heard of that before.

It's not nessicarily true. Sometimes both you of you may have it around the same times if you have a lot of the same habbits. If you have completely different sizes (one larger one smaller) this probably won't happen. You may have it the same week but it may be different. Usually girls and their moms have the same period pattern. I hope I hepled!

it isn't always true, but it's possible. if two friends are really really close and do like everything together, have the same eating habits, have the same sleeping pattern, and exercise the same then there's a chance you'll get them near each other. like if you go to camp in the summer, you'll notice all of the girls have their periods at the same time, cuz you're all doing the same activities.
