I need some advice, I was wondering right now i am using the palmers cocoa butter formula for stretch marks, and i really haven't seen a decrease on the visibility of them. Do you know how long it usually takes to see results? Also i've heard that there is different color stretch marks, mine right now look a little red, maroon color and veiny. Do u know what that means, or i guess what stage that is? Thanks. (link)

Although there are tons of creams and other skin products on the market that claim to eliminate stretch marks, the truth is that most are ineffective and often costly. You can't make stretch marks go away entirely without the help of a dermatologist (a doctor who specializes in treating skin problems) or plastic surgeon. These doctors may use one of many types of treatments - from actual surgery to techniques such as microdermabrasion and laser treatment - that reduce the appearance of stretch marks. These techniques are expensive and are not usually recommended for people in their teen years because they are not finished growing and their stretch marks will probably diminish over time anyway.

At 18 you are legally an adult and can do
whatever you want to do. Worried parents
may claim it is illegal, but it is not. :)

I like razhies answer but want to add my 2
cents about the diet pills. They don't work.
Been there done that. They may help you lose
weight for the first week and then they stop
working. People get to where they are taking
them by the handfuls. One can cause some
people heart problems. Start adding more and
you are in big trouble. Stick with a big glass
of water before you eat and drink water while
you are eating. Same affect with no side effects. :)

My brother.
He hits me. Alot. And i know what your going to say, just a brother/sister thing. No, it really hurts. Not just a little, alot.
My mum, she just stands there not doing anything. Then when i start screaming at my brother, she then shouts at ME telling me not to shout at him!
Then i storm off upstairs and I get in trouble for it!
I can't talk to my mum because i know EXACTLY what she will say.

I don't DO anything to him. I would just come downstairs one day and he would just start hitting me for no reason.
And sometimes we get along really well. And i don't know why he does it..

You can talk to your mom, just don't do it
right after he has hit you. :)
Just tell her her your brother keeps hitting
you for no reason and you would like her advice
on how to get him to stop it. Moms do like to
give their opinions! Be sure and tell her up
front that you are not annoying him when he
does this. :)

Ok so I've posted this question before which you've probably seen. But I didn't mention something in it because I didn't notice it until today. So yeah I'm a 15/f and I've had sex a few times in november. I haven't gotten my period yet this month. I think I might be pregnant. I'm sure all the times I had sex, I was protected but I also think that the condom broke once while having sex but we didn't think much of it at the time. Ok so my symptoms are that my lower back hurts at times and my breast are swollen. Even my mom has noticed the difference in them. So I was wondering what I should do. I can't buy a pregancy test because my mom would have to drive me and I can never get out of the house by myself to get one. I also don't have any money. I would go to a free clinic but there aren't any around here except the one on main street but like I said, I wouldn't be able to get out of the house without them asking questions. Have your boyfriend buy you a home test or
maybe even take you to the clinic. He is in
on this too. Let him take some of the responsibility.
Its probably a little soon to be having
back pain from a pregnancy. Thats usually
in the later stages from all the weight.
Swollen breasts is a sign of both pregnancy
or PMS. Here is a website for you to look
at. It has all the signs and symptoms
listed. If you don't gt your period soon,
you may just have to talk to your mom
about it. I had to once upon a time and
it didn't go as badly as I expected. I
hope you aren't, but if you are talk to
your mom. It will be OK. I've been there. :)

I'm not techniquely sure what life support is or how it works but my friend told me that her mom is on it and it's not a very good way to start the new year.
I'm making a layout for her and dedicating it to everyone who's going through the same thing.
What pictures would i use or look up for other than life support? (link)

If she is on life support it normally means
she isn't breathing on her own. A machine is
doing it for her. Some people will recover
enough to be taken off life support, the
majority though do not.
The reality is she is being kept alive,
she is not living. At some point the family
will probably take her off it and let her go.
Its a hard thing to do. We had to follow my
dads wishes recently and not allow life
support.
All that being said I don't know that you
would want to make a layout for this.
Instead make her one that is fun things
her mom liked or that they shared. Be
prepared to lend your support to her and
just listening to her will be enough. Her
mom most likely will not come home. I hate
to tell you that, but that is very likely.
Please talk to your parents about this, OK?
If you have never had someone you love die
before, you may need support too.

If you got your period today then you are not pregnant.

Not so much technology, but definitely advicenators.
I've been reading questions recently, and noticing more and more that someone will post an answer, and the next person will say something like "I would like to point out to [insert advicenator's name here] that this person was not asking THIS, he/she was asking THAT." or "[insert advicenator's name here], you're WRONG."
If an advicenator is wrong about something like a definition, it shows in the rest of the answers that come up - it's unnecessary to tell them they're wrong.
Does it bother anyone else when advicenators bicker, or pick on other advicenators' advice?
I dunno, I just thought this was a site for people to help each other.

I don't like it either. If its just a minor
error it makes the person pointing it out
look kind of like a snot.
On the other hand, if the advice is potentially
harmful...It could be a help until a moderator
gets it deleted. Of course when that user is
banned or that answer gets deleted, the one
pointing it out looks like a real goof. The
one who asked will be left saying what are
you talking about?
Best advice for all is if you aren't very
sure of your answer then pass up that question.
You could be left looking like a fool.
If the advice given is harmful or incorrect,
especially, as Razhie pointed out, if it is
something to do with sex, pregnancy etc. File
an abuse report so it can be dealt with.

Hello..I am a 36 year old married mother of three. I married my high school sweetheart...we have been together 20 years...married 18. I am so unhappy with this marriage. We have lots of problems...most of them started a couple years ago. We have lost everything we own due to him making bad choices without including me in the decisions..did things behind my back. We have lost our ability to communicate effectively...it always ends with one of us walking away in anger. One of the biggest issues is that I went back to school and graduated last year. Since then he has become very insecure, possessive, and jealous. I have not ever given him reason to feel the way he does...he says he feels like I am too good for him now...that is not at all how I feel. His insecurity and possessiveness has pushed me away and I know longer love him the way I should as a wife. I feel like I'm living with my buddy...not my husband. I am no longer interested in sex with him anymore and on the rare occasion that I give in it feels like a chore. I hate feeling the way I do, I know that it hurts him to know that I am not happy, but I just can't sit here and fake it. My problem is that I know he loves me...would be crushed if I left. We separated for a couple months last year and he threatened to hurt himself...that is why I took him back. Tried to get him to go to counseling...he promised, but never went...said he could handle things on his own. One of us is going to get hurt...if I stay it will be me...if I go it will be him. I am so confused because I want us both to be happy...just don't want it to be with each other. I'm sorry this is so long...I really need some advice here. If you are positive there is no hope for
the marriage, then you have to leave it.
He will of course be hurt at first but he
will get over it. I too got married at 18,
and though I am still married I understand
completely that sometimes people grow up in
different directions. It happens and it isn't
your fault.
You say you want you both to happy. Even
if he still loves you, he can't be all that
happy. You're both miserable. When it comes
right down to it, you have to do whatever it
takes to make you happy. You gave it one more
try and he didn't hold up his end of the bargain.
So now you do what you want to do.
When you are ready to leave, or right after,
call someone and let them know if he threatens
to hurt himself. If it worked before, he will
say it again. Call a parent, a sibling or a good
friend of his. Once you leave, do not for a
minute feel you are responsible for anything he does. Hard to do I know, but he is an adult.
You have told someone who cares about him, thats
all you can do.
Life is short. Be as happy as you can be.

If you can afford it, it works very well.
I have tried it before but it just got to
expensive. The food is great too. A little
bland sometimes but it is diet food! I
really liked it. :)

My baby is having a problem with getting rid of a diaper rash.
I have tried the following:
-Diaper rash ointments such as, A+D, Desitin (Zinc Oxide), and pretty much any other diaper rash ointment I can get out of the store.
-Corn starch and baby powder with cornstarch.
-Gold Bond medicated powder.
-Gold Bond Cream.
-Using baby wipes only when wet washrags are unavailable.
-Of course, diaper changes more frequent than normal.
-Letting it air out. (Diaperless crawling baby doesn't work so hot.)
-Using a blow dryer to dry the area.
I have gotten rid of most of the rash, but there are places left on his bottom that is still red and sore.
It isn't severe enough for me to feel he needs to go to the doctor, or trust me, we would be there already.
He seldom gets rashes, and when he does, they are usually difficult to completely get rid of. This one is being especially stubborn.
I know the cause already.
He is eating solid foods for three meals a day now, at 30 ounces of milk a day, 6 ounces of 100% fruit juice a day, plus his favorite snack, shredded wheat, a couple of times a day. Which means, the more he eats, the more frequently he moves his bowels.
(In case you are wondering, his pediatrician is aware of how much he consumes in a day, and says he is right where he needs to be on that.)
He isn't consuming anything new for it to be caused by allergic reaction. He is prescribed Benedryl to take in the event that happens.
He isn't ever left wearing dirty diapers, it is just that the sensitive skin on his bottom isn't used to all that pooping, which is recently 1-2 times daily.
So that is all of the information I can think of that can be helpful for you to help me.
Any suggestions of other home remedies I can try to get rid of this rash?

I have read that 50% of diaper rashes go away
within the first day using common diaper rash
medications. The other 50% are harder to treat
but usually go away within 10 days. Can seem
longer I know and of course it is upsetting
seeing your poor baby with a red butt.
This will sound odd but preparation H works very well. Try it and see.
I have also read that giving older infants 2-3
ounces of cranberry juice will leave an acid
residue in the urine, helping lower pH and reduce irritation. When urine and feces mix in the diaper area, the result is a high pH that irritates the skin and promotes diaper rash.
Here is a hint that may make cleaning baby up
a little easier when he has a rash....
Dr. Bronfin recommends removing stool with warm water mixed with a drop or two of baby oil. ''Use a spray bottle to spray the mixture on the diaper area, then wipe it off with a clean cloth,'' he suggests. This method will be less irritating to your baby.
The same doctor recommends customizing those disposable diapers....
Put the diapers on as loosely as possible, rather than snug at the waist and snip some of the elastic from the bands around the leg openings, he suggests. And make sure you choose a diaper size that is roomy enough to allow for some air space.
Try wiping the baby's bottom with a solution of eight parts water to one part vinegar to help neutralize acid in urine.
And one that surprised me concerning powder...
Cornstarch or cornstarch-based powders foster the growth of yeast. So this is one old remedy to leave in the past.
Those should give you a good start. As always if
the rash gets really nasty and sore looking call
your doctor for more suggestions. :)

Im a 25 year old single mother of 2. My mother has been filing my 9 year old on her income tax all his life. Previously when I mentioned me wanting to claim him, she got all upset so I left it alone. Now mind you my mother is not rich but she does have wealth. I am struggling, she does do a lot for my son such as clothing him and buying him things he stays with me, I do the rest. Recently She loaned me about $4,500.00 for a car and to pay some bills. She made me sign a promisary note,once again I mentioned the income tax because of the debt to pay her and she got all upset and doesnt want to do so. She says that is rotten of me she talks about disowning me and my children behind it. What should I do? I really need the money my mother doesnt get any money for filling because she has to pay taxes. How could a mother feel that way? (link)

She has to pay less because she claims your son.
If you are the one who feeds and houses this
child then you need to claim him as a deduction
on your taxes. You will get more money back if
you do.
So don't ask her if you can do it. Inform her
that you WILL be doing it. If she wants to disown
you because of it then so be it. You are not
in the wrong here, she is. She is using your son
to save a dime on her taxes. If anything, she
should be ashamed of herself.

Yes. You have to have a pelvic exam
prior to being prescribed birth control.

There is no reason for your mom to be
in the room when you have the exam.
Your doctor will not tell her about
anything you discuss with him.
Unless you have sex right before the exam,
the doctor will not really know you have
had sex unless you have told him. Many girls
have a broken hymen from other things before
they ever have sex. :)

Like the girl before me said, there is no way
he could put his penis or fingers in your urethra.
I would like to offer this advice. If neither
of you know where the penis goes, you shouldn't
be playing around. A person needs to know their
body and be responsible before they have sex in
order to prevent pregnancy and disease.

My boyfriend and I have never had penetrative sex--or sex at all, honestly. We've only dry humped through four layers of clothing (his two, my two). Bodily fluids have never been exchanged.
I'm currently on my period.
Today I woke up with a throbbing headache; later on during the day, I experienced great fatigue and ran a fever of 100.4. I've been experiencing chills and hot flashes. My stomach feels odd, but not any different from other pains I've experienced while on my period.

pregnancy. Might be stomach upset though.

I want to make a gingerbread house for Chistmas, with graham crackers. I've tried to look online, but it wasn't helping much. It kept coming up either with the cardboard, or for like little kids.
Anyway, can I just use the recipe I found with the cardboard, then just replace the cardboard with graham crackers? Or, if you guys have any better recipes, that would work too. Or, if I did use the cardboard, can I just put graham cookies over it, then I don't have to cook anything in the oven? Any ideas? Thank youu!! (link)

You can make small houses with just graham
crackers. If you want to make a large one,
make a pattern and glue the crackers to it
with icing. It simply helps hold it together.
I have a recipe for you. Use your imagination
on the house. If you want one large one I do
recommend sticking the crackers on something.
You don't want the roof to cave in or anything.
The main thing in graham cracker houses,
or gingerbread for that matter is the "glue".
Everything else is however you want it. Use
the sites you have found for decorating ideas.
Some people makes some really awesome looking
houses!
Heres your glue & how to make a small house.
Oh, and if you want to transport it, Make it
on something sturdy. I have hauled one a few
miles before and that is they key. You can
also make a small village out of the smaller houses.
One last suggestion and I will shut
up. If you can afford it, instead of using
this icing. Melt some White or even chocolate
almond bark and use it as your glue. Hardens
quickly though so just melt a little at a time.

GRAHAM CRACKER GINGERBREAD HOUSES
1 box Keebler graham crackers (makes 6 houses)
3 egg whites, room temperature
4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
Cut 2 long pieces and 2 short end pieces with points on end out of graham crackers. Make royal icing ("glue") by beating egg whites, sugar, cream of tartar and vanilla for 7-10 minutes until very stiff. "Glue" 2 whole graham crackers on top for roof after "gluing" the 4 pieces above together for the base of the house. Use icing for snow effect and as glue to add candy decorations (licorice, M&M'S®, etc.) to make an adorable gingerbread house.
