When you go to the doctors to get the pill, do they have to check you first? Like, inside? I had sex for the first time, and I wanna get on birthcontrol, but I don't want my mom to know I had sex before I was on the pill. Thanks :]
karenR answered Thursday December 27 2007, 12:36 pm: Yes. You have to have a pelvic exam
prior to being prescribed birth control.
Here is a site that lets you know what goes on.
There is no reason for your mom to be
in the room when you have the exam.
Your doctor will not tell her about
anything you discuss with him.
Unless you have sex right before the exam,
the doctor will not really know you have
had sex unless you have told him. Many girls
have a broken hymen from other things before
they ever have sex. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
