I love helping people, and when I say that, I mean the kind of "giving advice" kind of help. I know I can be a psychologist, but are there any other options? I don't want to be a psychiatrist, so please don't suggest that. Thank you!

youth couselor, a specific kind of psychology degree, teacher, foster care parent for kids who have been through a lot, youth crisis counselor...the possibilities are endless. i too am considering doing a "giving advice" kind of job in the future but really, you dont have to make it a profession to help people. i have never seen my school counselor...the ladies that work in the office are the ones i go to when im freaking out or need help. my friends mom is a firefighter and she guided me through a lot. do what you like.

it varies for every relationship...heres my guy friends experience: he had this gf and 3 months into the relationship her tried to kiss her on the cheek and she freaked out beyond reason. then 3 months later after bein together for 6 months, they broke up and never actually kissed. later on, this guy got anyther gf. he knew her about 2 weeks before asking her out and they had theyre first kiss together a week into the relationship. it really depends on what both side believe. id say within the first 3 months.

Why can almost no-one on Advicenators spell correctly? It isn't really that hard, and don't use the excuse that people are young, because I'm not at all old and I can spell without too many mistakes, or none at all.

some people are just very careless. lets compare it to somthing in our everyday lives: driving! you see how carelessly people drive! they dont give a turn signal at the right times and dont stop changing lanes until they see a cop car. it happens. the world is full of stupid people and in someone else's eyes, you and i may be considered stupid so really its a matter of opinion. i see what you mean about the spelling...i havent seen much of it lately. a lot of the little 13 year girls are always "tiiPin LyKK DiS" only to see me die slowely and painfully but if you say anything to them, they freak out, give you a "1" feedback (immaturity beyond explination) and a "iim JUs Triiieing 2 B cReaaatIve". as for the amount of chatspeak detectors, theyre about as high as they can go on standards...just stay cool and dont give into sloppy typing.

what size does abercrombie go up to for jeans? do they run smaller than hollister cus i get mine from hollister cus theres a hollister in my mall no af.

i think they run abou the same in sizes...like a 1 in hollister is a 2 in a&f. i think they start at 00 and go up to 11? thats a rough guess tho. both brands are pretty room-y. www.abercrombie.com

if you have any old dance costumes or your friends have any, borrow them and be a ballerina! thats what i did when i was 13 and it was fun. it really depends how much you willing to spend. party city has costumes... check them out and look for something you like: devil, egyptian princess, pirate, jail bird, vampire, etc. have fun!

just relax! if you trust this guy like you should before you even think about having sex with him then he should understand if you say it hurts. dont rush into things...if your not completely and 100 percent ready, dont do it. if he really even cares about you, he wont break up with you for postponing it for a while. just make sure you can handle it and use protection please.

I am 14/f and I really need to start making money of my own. I'm sick of getting it from my parents. I mean I will probably still get a little bit from them but at least some of it needs to be my own. I know babysitting and I have done that before but how do I get people like parents to know that I do that? AND what are some other jobs I can do? Much appreciated. I'll rate high....

well if you know anything about soccer, you can take a course and become a referee. it can be a hard job but it pays $15-$25 per game. some grocerie stores hire people at 14 and depeding on where you live you can work at some clothing stores. i believe school counselors have work permits if you have longer hours or need one to work so give them a visit ad maybe they can recommend a job that fits your schedule and lifestyle. take care,

OK so Last year, I went to homecoming and no one asked me to dance. Everytime there was a slow dance, I always stood off to myself. I felt embaressed/left out/ stupid..so I don't know if I should go to homecoming thisyear. All my friends are popular and they're like "come! it'd be fun" but I NEVER have a dance partner..and I've been to alot of dances. What should I do??

maybe you should ask a guy friend to go with you as dates so then you wont have to find someone when the music starts. thats what i would do. try to have fun!

ok i have 2 questions having to do w/ tampon use and toxic shock syndrome.
*that rule that u leave a tampon in 4-8 hours... is that just like thats how long you can use it and then you have to wear a pad or something...or can you change to a new one?
*well i accidently fell asleep on the couch last nite and i still had my tampon in since around 5:30 to about 8 (AM) I'm extremely scared that i might be at risk for toxic shock syndrome. Can someone tell me what the symptoms are? and how to treat them? please help me i am so scared! also i am 13/f if that does anything. please help me!

calm down dear! alright you change it every 4-8 hours and you can chage into a new one...it just needs to be taken out.
530 pm till 8 am? thats possible but i think you would know by now. usually it starts with a fever. if you have the box of tampons it has information on this. if you have sympoms, go to the hostital. dont use them if you dont know all the information...stop and read the instructions...it will save you.

For me, Homecoming is tomorrow. I am going with my boyfriend of over 1year and 7months.
Problem? he is picking me up around 6 (probably a little before) and I have to work until 4. I probably wont get home until around4:10 or 4:15.

I usually dont take too long to get ready. But I will have to shower, and blow dry my hair and maybe straighten it. I am not doing an "up-do" with my hair.

What can I do to make things go faster?

Like, Maybe while im blowdrying my hair, plug in the straighter, can i multi task?

well tonight, put everything you need where you will need it. put shorts and a tank top and any undergarnments by your shower to put on after you shower...put hair product where you need them in the order you need them and yeah, multitask! put on lotion before you blowdry then you can go straight to putting on your makeup, then the dress and you are readyyy. make sure you have a bag with all your nesecities. have fun!!

ok i am a 14 female and i want to start wearin tampons for PE bc i have to start PE but my MOM wont elt em she says,"no you shouldnt be puttin things up there" and i told ehr i had to for PE and she goes that she will talk to the PE teachers herself and not make me go swimmin but the thing is she thinks THAT I AM TOO YOUNG TO WEAR THEM. she said " ur a lil girl and your body is still developin and shouldnt be puttin that up there" what should i do? do you guys think i am to young to wear one??

nope your not too young i think she just doesnt want you to like putting things up there, know what i mean? she should realize that you will NEED to wear them somtime in your life and you deserve to be comfortable on your period. for now, get them in the locker room for PE then after use a pad. she'll never know. read an article on how to put one in before you actually do and use a light one first.

I love wearing thongs my mom don't know it though I feel more confortable in a thong then any other kind of underwear my mother don't know I wear thongs and she doesn't understand that that's whats in and no one wants panty lines last year I asked her if I could were thongs and she said no It's so unfair. I want to be able to wear thongs it's not like I'm going to show it to anyone or anything like that. I won't wear them with skirts (ofcoarse I'm not that slutty).
