Red Heads
Ok..I'm a redhead 15/F and i really like this guy. Well he seemed to be diggen me or whatever soo one night i texted to see if he wanted to do something tom. He texted me back and said he is not attracted to redheads and that if i like him more than that than its not gonna work because he doesnt like me. I was heart broken. I mean red hair is kind of rare and i mean im not ugly at all..and i dont have the pale skin like one either. I look a little different but still i have red hair. My question is..in your opinion is red hair ugly and why dont guys like red hair?

If the guy doesn't like you, forget him. If he doesn't like you, you obviously deserve wayyy much better. I don't think red hair is ugly because I'm a natural redhead and I think that the reason why most people don't like redheads is because red hair is that it's a symbol of power and he might be imtimidated by redheads so he doesn't like them.

Listen, first off they guy is crazy there is nothing more attractive than a natural redhead. Fair skin and all. The fact you say you don't have the fair skin tells me that you are probably spending a bit to much time in the tanning bed I urgue you to stop it, or by the time you're 30 you will turn into leather....nobody wants that...trust me...anyhow. Be who you are, change for nothing, there is nothing we ignorant humans can do to improve on nature it's to perfect the way it is. That means that your red hair, is perfect the way it is. Remember that always.

There's nothing wrong with redheads! This guy obviously hasn't seen Lindsey Lohan, Marcia Cross, or Nicole Kidman. My advice is forget this guy! If he's too shallow to look past your hair color, then he doesn't deserve you.

If they're real men then hair color shouldn't matter. Just embrace your true hair color and be glad that, if you don't dye it, you'll have hair that isn't fried... unlike most of the female population. If a guy is willing to let something as stupid as hair color get in the way, then he's not worth it.

Personally, I think red hair is the most gorgeous color! Guys have their pet peaves. I mean, some guys like red hair and others don't. To me it's stupid to not be attractive to someone because of their hair color, but whatever, that's his BS and shallowness that I just don't get...and no, I'm not being bias- haha. It's just not his type I guess. Don't sweat it, there are plently of guys who think red heads are HOTT, just don't let his judgement bring you and your self esteem down :) I hope I helped!

Red hair is beautiful you should be happy. Don't be heartbroken because he dosn't like you and if he dosn't like a girls with red hair then he is real shallow. If he dosn't even look at the girl that is inside of you then he's nothing you need to be dealing with. Forget him and find a guy that looks on the inside and dosn't care about how you look. Thats the kind of guy everyone needs. Just don't go looking around for a guy who will like you from the way you look. I mean its not wrong for a guy to like you looks but make sure he likes you from the inside.

red hair is certainly not ugly and that guy is a jerk. He seems really shallow to me. Don't even think about what he said. If he can't see past appearance and see whats inside, then he's not worth it. Find someone who you like who likes you back and isn't just in it for looks. Also, don't get someone who is with you only because of your looks. Guys are stupid and teenage guys are worse so just stick it out. If this guy is a possible friend, then stick with that, otherwise, don't give him a second thought, he's not worth it.

yeah that guy is really shallow/immature. Most people that have ever colored their hair get sick of blond highlights and go red at least once... everyone has a red phase because it's attractive. I like it. I promise not all guys are that shallow. <3

Red Heads are the most unique women in the world!! :) That guy is a jerk. Most guys will say they dont like red heads because they think of the freckled,glasses,pale-white,long gross red haried girls. But i dont think your that at all and yeah some guys only like women with red hair. I think red hair is beautiful and you should love it too because you are unique. Hey, Im probably going to give you a really long answer (Sorry for that) because Im 15/f with red hair, too! :] I think redheads in pop, teen culture like movies are portrayed as fat, frizzy hair, braces, freckles, glasses, etc. And the pretty popular girls have straight, blonde hair. I dont know why people make a big deal out of red hair, Im sure youre gorgeous. I think older people appreciate it more unfortunately, though. Kids in my school almost never compliment my hair (its like a curse) but older people always do. And when youre older and out of highschool, guys will think its hot! Right now, they want what everyone else wants. (Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba) So, pretty much anyone who doesnt fit that category is out. I dont think redheads have a celebrity to be their idol. Theres sooo many blondes and theres sooo many brunettes. But, the red heads are like Debra Messing, who I love but shes what, 40? & Lindsay Lohan who is always ditching her red hair for blonde or black. Guys are afraid to be different and as much as you dont think, they care about what their friends think. So, if they tell their friends theyre going out with a redhead, he's afraid they'll be like, "Ew. Firecrotch." Even though they probably wont! I think that guy is shallow, and Id call him out on it when you see him (If youre comfortable to.) Ask him why youre hair color matters. Im sorry this happened..its happened to me many times. But I KNOW in the end redheads WIN. :] Our hair color is rare and when youre old, everyone wants to suddenly look different. Plus, the best part, red hair color stays longer. i love redhair, i have a thing for it. i remember in highschool i had the biggest crush on this redhead girl but i was too stupid to say anything about it and when i finally did she turned me down cold. i think red hair is one of the most attractive attributes a girl can have and this dude is passing up a fortune in doing so. you're not the one with the problem here toots, he's the jackass.

This guy is displaying remarkable immaturity and idiocy. It's got nothing to do with how he happens to feel about red hair; for him to dismiss an entire group of women based on a single, unimportant physical trait is just plain stupid.
Some guys prefer certain hair color, eye color, skin color, etc. on girls. However, there are FAR more important qualities when it comes to dating someone. I'm not saying that looks count for nothing - obviously, they are important when it comes to first impressions and such. In the long run, though, these things do not and should not matter. Even in the short run, looks are less important than personality, intellect, and common interests.
All that having been said, rest assured that many men find red hair to be irresistible (I am one of them!). I like it in part because it is unusual - I find beauty in rare things, whether they be physical or part of someone's personality.
Please, try not to let the thoughtless words of this stupid jerk trouble you too much. If he is the sort of guy who chooses who to like based on the way they look, you are better off not being his eye-candy. It will be far more satisfying for you when you find a guy who likes you for your personality and character, and who sees your red hair as a bonus.

To put this bluntly... the guy is abnormal.
We all have particular things we like better than others, but redheads seem to be universally loved these days.
In fact, I personally only know one guy who doesn't think red is the most attractive color... and he doesn't like girls.
Don't let one guy give you a complex about this, when there are probably dozens swooning over you, but afraid to say anything. (Redheads have quite a reputation.)
Now let me point out something equally noteworthy: Someone rejecting you because of a physical trait is a sign that they are very shallow.
Getting together with someone ONLY because they favor your haircolor is self destructive.
Not getting together with someone ONLY because of their hair color... well, that is just shallow and pathetic.

In my opinion red hair, on the right person, is very beautiful, and the only guy I know that doesn't like redheads... also doesn't like women.

I think red hair is great!! Guys might not be attracted to it becuz it's unusual and abnormal. If he doesnt like you for your red-hair let him get to know you as a friend. Just say okay. then make him fall for you. I think if you just hang as friends he'll look past the red-hair
