You could just be converting fat to muscle. Or you pulled something during your situps. Take it easy for a day or two and see what happens. Chances are you just pulled a muscle.

You probably pulled a muscle or else ur just sore because your body isn't used to that type of workout yet.

It's probably just because your muscles are getting stronger, and they aren't used to that kind of work out. Because you probably went from doing no sit ups to 60 which is a little too much. Just maybe give yourself a break for a day from doing them, let your muscles relax and then slowly and gradually start them over. for maybe a week do 10. Then then next, 15. And then just keep going up. There's nothing to worry about =). I hope I helped!!

If your doing 60 situps a day... then your muscles are getting a very large workout. I'm guessing you went from doing no situps to 60 situps adn that isn't good. increase the amount gradually so your system has time to get used to it. Maybe do like 15 a day adn then maybe 25 keep working your way up there. Don't be worried you didn't hurt yourself its just a pain from your muscles being tired. Hope this helps good luck

Well i think thats kind of normal. Wen you start out doing too many, that may not be good for you. But i think after some rest, your muscles will just get stronger. Also try some other excersizes & things too. That may make it better. Hope i helped.

youre not used to working out... your muscles are sore because theyre being used and you dont use them,. whats happening is that theyre being ripped and rebuilt to be stronger and better, hense the exercise. 100% normal, keep exercising, it will go away.

I do about 1000 crunches a day and my lowers abs always hurt a little after I do them. Especially if you're just starting out then you will probably feel a little bit of pain there. It's normal and eventually your stomach muscles will get stronger. :-)

Have you been stretching before you start? Even though your only doing sit-ups you still need to stretch. And are you used to doing them? If not that may be the problem..

ncblondie answered Tuesday August 2 2005, 10:50 pm:
It sounds like you've just overworked those muscles a bit. Give it a day or two to rest then try again. Also when starting a new exercise, it's better to start with a lower number of repetitions and work your way up. That way your body can get used to the exercise.

i used to feel that way when i did situps everyday. your abdomen(i think thats what it's called) just hurts because you have new muscles there, and it's sore from all the situps. it's not a big deal, and the pain will go away in a few days, :)

You just pulled some muscles.. You're straining them more than you usually are. Just rest for a little while before doing more, and try to stretch a little before the sit ups next time.

Your lower abs are probably just sore. Try stretching it out by either doing the bridge or you can lay on ur stomcah and push your upper body up with your hands. Hope I helped.

RockStarKisses_x3 answered Tuesday August 2 2005, 9:36 pm:
Simple. Your over working your muscles. They are getting stronger, wich causes strain, wich makes them hurt. Try Icing your stomach after you do it. Or try to do a small amount of situps, alot throughout the day. Maybe,15 sit ups, 4 times a day.
