pop is soda pop REALLY that bad for you? I'm on a diet and I get sick of water.. I like diet pop! My boyfriend says he will never drink it because its so bad... true? false?

It's not THAT bad! Unless you drink SO much of it that you gain a lot of weight. I drink diet soda alll the time. And I'm dieting. You should have nothing to worry about!

its not good to drink a lot of it cus it has soo much sugar, but a lot of people drink it anyways. its not like water or anything, and its definetly not gonna help you lose weight. but cutting it out will help you get on the right track to lose weight but its not gona make you drop 10 pounds instantly. diet pop is "healthier" because it has artificial sweetner instead of regular having pure sugar. but young kids should not be having artificial sweetner so really the only plus of diet is that it doesnt have "real" sugar. hope that answers your q. ]

Well if you are on a diet, even diet soda isn't good. Water, 100% fruit juice, milk, and other nutricios drinks like that are best when you are on a diet.

It can be bad for you, if you overdo it.
If you are tired of water, drink fruit juices. Minutwe Maid now had diet juices that are quite good. Also, try flavored water. Things like tea are also good. ]
I suppose it isn't the greatest thing for you to drink all the time (like I do!). It won't hurt you to drink it though. Have you tried Coke Zero?

Yes it is bad for you. But don't never drink it again because of that. Drink it like once or twice a week so you don't get a craving and drink a ton at once. And water isn't the only healthy drink. There is milk which most kids dont like but it is good for you. And you could make a protein shake, with frozen fruit, milk, and protein mix. Good Luck! ]
well my doctor said that diet pop is just fine to have when you are dieting because it doesnt add any fat or anything reg pop is bad because of all the sugar. water may be better on a diet but diet pop is just as fine. Juice is also bad for diets because it may have nutrients but its loaded with sugar. I was suprised to hear that when my doctor told me that. also she told me that gatorade and propel were good because they dont have as much sugar as pop and juice and they have alot of things to help you body ]
SUPER BAD FOR YOU !! takesthe calcium away from your bones hunny!! o not drink it!! not even diet!!! if your looking for some flavor try propel!! or flavored water !!! and if you like gatorade pur a half of gatorade in a glass and then fill the rest will water it waters it down and its less the suger i do that when i play soccer so that there not so much suger in the bottle !! not much you can do and also soda ruins your TEETH ewww no one wants gross teeth!! hope i helped !!!

yea its bad for you. just find some other things beside water to drink. and if your on a diet, you def wanna stay away from soda. but just find some other things to drink. apple juice, orange juice, etc. but i think water tastes pretty good with ice. haha, well i hope i helped a tad.

Yes, it is true. Not because it can take rust off of nails - that is because of the carbonic acid, the carbonation.
The bad stuff is the sugar. It encourages plaque on the teeth and is extremely fattening.
You know what's worse? Diet soda is just as bad. It has a slightly lower amount of energy (calories) in a different form, but in the end, that doesn't matter. You'll get just as fat drinking diet as with any soda.
It gets worse. It's not just soda that's bad for you, it's any sugary drink of any form. Lemonade, fruit juice (yeah, even 100% fruit juice) is just as bad for you as is soda. There are two drinks I can guarentee won't be unhealthy: Water and 2% milk.
The thing that determines how fattening any food or drink will be is the amount of energy in it, no matter what the form; the more energy your body takes in, the more it can store, and the more it stores, the more fat it uses to do so.
And while I'm at it, one other thing: diet isn't enough. You have to exercise also in order to make your metabolism more efficient, in order not to gain that weight back. Otherwise, you will never be able to cease dieting. ]
just because your on a diet doesnt mean you have to drink water. theres all kinds of juices and health drinks, teas, even smoothies which even fill you up so that you can skip lunch and stuff. cokes are bad for you but as long as you dont drink 3 a day youll be fine..why dont you look into the other drinks i mentioned. ]

in the long run. yes. u know how coke can take rust off a nail? imagine what its doing to your insides. but yes in the long run it is bad and i heard that diet is worse but im not sure.

yeaah actually it's rele bad 4 youu i don't drink it. it's so acidy and has so much sugar that makes ur teeth yellow and uhh it juss sucks. i'm on a diet also and i recommend water not diet soda.. you'll loose more weight. maybe try flavored water.. you kno like propel or fruit20 it actually tastes good! `♥// ]

There was a study where a tooth was placed in a cup of soda overnight, and the tooth rotted. Diet soda pop won't make you gain weight, but it can cause future complications in the future because of the ammount of salt and chemicals inside. Stick to water and juice, a diet soda is good every once in a while, just not every day. ]

Well, diet pop is really bad for you. there is a weird chemical in it that messes you up causing you to want to drink even more of it. But as far as regular soda, yeah, it's bad for you, but so is everything else on this planet :P Just don't drink a lot of it. But if you don't drink it at all for a few months you can lose a ton of weight!!! I did that for about 3 months and I lost about 15 pounds from not drinking it. But yeah, it's not that bad for you, just diet.

This is VERY tRue! Soda is LOADED with sugaR!! It's EXTREMELY fattening, and it stains youR teeth! And think of how much soda soda-loveRs actually consume!??! I mean, who actually only has ONE little can if plenty moRe is available!?! PeRsonally, I have not had a single sip of soda in yeaRs and yeaRs! If you'Re a big on soda, and you completely 100% cut it out of youR diet foR two whole weeks stRaight, you will see a big weight loss. My fRiend did this.. ONLY stopped dRinking soda, and didn't exeRcise any moRe than she noRmally did! She dRank soda alllll of the time, but afteR two weeks of cold tuRkey, she lost 12 pounds....
