How can I broaden my vocal range? I'm 15, a soprano, and the highest I can sing is a high C. I've just been given the role of Christine in our local theatre production of "The Phantom" and she has to sing a high E. I can't sing that high! What do I do?

Just warm up higher then you normally do and it should broaden your range a lot, that's what I did, and I am an alto and I can now sing a high C. Just try not to strain to get the notes. Because then you will really damage your voice, as i am sure you already know. Hope I helped :) And good luck!

Has anyone ever read the book The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver? If so, did any songs come to mind while reading it? Its a summer project, and I'm kind of stuck! I rate high!

I have a problem. With my jansport backpack, I have 7 folders and notebooks, and I cant seem to fit all of them. The backpack is pretty good sized, but I mean, I can only fit my binder (medium sized),7 folders, and like, 3 100 pg notebooks. What should I do? I mean, dont just tell me to try to fit everything in there and then try to zip it. Believe me, I tried that. So..what should I do? Is there anything I can do??

carry a gym bag and put stuff in there, or carry some in your arms, or just put some stuff in a plastic walmart bag or something to throw out later

Hey you guys seem to have really good taste in movies. I was wondering if you'd give me any recomendations. Anything that deals with

I love movies like that. Try Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Garden State. They are all great. Oh, Sin City is awesome too. Its very artistic. Enjoy :)

ok so this yr im a freshman & the 1st day i have to bring EVERYTHING! i mean biders books supplies, gywm clothes, gym shoes,,its ridiculous! whats the best way to get it all there without lookin lik a total nerd in front of my new school?!?!

hey :P Don't worry at all. Everyone has the same problem. Just put as much in your backpack as you can, and then bring a gym bag with all of your shoes and clothes and whatever. Then just carry whatever doesnt fit in your backpack in your arms. You won't look nerdy, I promise :P Hope I helped :)

I hear a lot of people say that applying toothpaste on pimples helps to clear it. I asked my dermatologist if that was a good remedy, but she said that there's no known ingredient in toothpaste that would aid to get rid of pimples. Does it really work? I would try it out myself, but I'm a little skeptical of putting toothpaste on my face.

if your afraid, try buying oxy or clearsil or stridex (acne medicne type stuff) or you can just go to your fridge and grab some lemon juice, it works pretty good, but stridex works better IMO

im 21,but when comes to talking to boys im always blur.how can i attarct their attention?what kind of topics i can talk to them?

Just start talking to them about what kind of car they have, or what college they go/went to. Or where they are from, where they work. Just some small talk. And once you've gotten to know them a little better you can get into a deeper conversation like talking about their family, or their past relationships. Stuff like that :P I hope I helped :)

hey everyone i want to become a singer but i cant sing so is there a way i can learn?

Well, the only thing you can do is take voice lessons or join choir. You could even try out for your school's musical so people start to notice your voice so you can sort of get yourself out there, if you know what I mean. If your school has a show choir that would be great too. Because it's less classical music and crap like that :P Hope I helped :)

this is gonna be kinda long..sorry but me and my boyfriend have been together for almost a month! and went out last year off and on for a while! but anyways..there was this girl that was suppose to be my "friend" over at my house the past 2 days! she has done nothing but bad mouth my boyfriend and say how he treats me like crap and i always have to tell her to stop and it got to the point we'd start screaming cause id get so mad! well then today she decides that she thinks its ok to sit there and send my boyfriend all these pics of him..and i would think if she was my friend she wouldnt! but i was upset and called my friend well she didnt answer..so she calls me back and was like whyd u sound upset and i told her because that girl was trying to send my bf her pic and i didnt like that! well i guess my "friend" that was hear heard me and got all mad and started cussing at me like crazy! and telling me how she was leaving and how my bf treats me like crap and everything else! so we really got into it then and shes sitting there laughing go just wait im gonna mess up your relationship and make ur life miserable and lie and everything else! i told him about all this but the thing is im so scared that hes gonna believe her..i love him more then n e thing in this world and ive never felt like this before! and i wouldnt lie to him ever again ( ill admit i have in the past but i never would again) this girl is just sayin how shes goin to mess it up and have her friends say stuff to him when i know none of her friends cause they r all like 12-13 cause she got held back twice and i dont even go to the same school as her and im 16! my question is..what do i do about this? i dont wanna lose him and im so scared of it..does anybody have any idea on what i should do? i love him more then anything!!

Wow...this girl sounds like a real bitch. The only thing that you really can do is talk to your bf (like you did) and make sure he really understands what's going on. If you two really love each other then I'm sure he will trust you over some random girl he has never met. You could also get together with this girl, and talk to her one on one about what has happened. Tell her you love your bf, and you don't care what she thinks. But be very calm about it, make sure you are getting through to her. Yelling won't do much except piss her off some more. If I were you I wouldn't worry about it to much. Just make sure your bf understands. Hope I helped :)

Hey guys,
I'm 15/f and I was wondering if you can buy wireless laptops anywhere, and if so how much would they cost? Also, would you pay for your internet service the same way as if it were a regualar computer? If anyone can, please let me know. Thank you so much :-)

you buy a laptop, and some come with wireless cards, but you can buy one, then you have to get a router, and internet service and the router sends the internet to your laptop, laptops range from like 500-ive seen over 2000, but i dont know how high they go

I have 2 different contacts the one I got in after like an hour but the other one is so soft and it kept turning inside out and flipping up does anyone have suggestions for that one? I rate high help please!

beilive it or not theres some skill involed, plus if you live in higher elevation it could be harder to put it in, at least when i went to colorado it took me longer to put in, but back in texas they popped in right away, probally just got to get used to them

I have the same problem. But to be totally honest, you just have to wait. Don't rush it, you need to wait for that one perfect boy to come along and sweep you off your feet. The one who will love you for you. Don't try to be something your not. But if you REALLY want one now, just be confident in yourself, guys like confidence. Laugh and smile a lot, they notice. Just be flirty with them and don't act shy. I hope I helped a little :)

How many times do you have to change your contacts? Can you get color contacts with prescriptions? How much do they cost?

every 2 weeks, you can get color contacts, i have just regualr contacts, and i think they cost 120, the color ones are a tad more expensive

my dad went to Dr. Boothe, in dallas, hes the guy that did tiger woods, and many cowboy players, the cost depends on the doctor, he said he didnt feel a thing, just sat in a chair and they use a computer to do it, and it makes your eyes perfect

im not exactly the preppy girl but i want to wear pretty clothes and have pretty makeup and nice hair. i have brown hair and brown eyes. my hair is above my shoulders and i wish it would grow. how can i make my hair grow? do u have any makeup tips for me? what kinda clothes are great but not too expensive?

You can get some great clothes from Forever 21, Kohl's, Charlotte Russe, and just keep looking out for sales at some of the really popular stores. my friend got a really cute shirt at Hollister the other day for $8. As far as make up, use powder, dark brown eyeliner, mascara, and maybe some natural colored eyeshadow. It looks very natural, but enhances your features :) I don't know any good tricks to make hair grow faster...you just have to wait it out I guess. But you can always scrunch it, always a very cute look. Just buy scrunching gel and when your hair is semi wet, put in the gel and scrunch it with your hands every so often until its dry. Then spray it with some hair spray. Hope I helped :)
