clotito answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 10:28 pm: You're probably dehydrated. Your body isn't going to bother hydrating silly little things like your lips when you desperately need water for more essential things like, oh, say, your heart and liver. Remember, in order to keep properly hydrated you need to drink roughly 8 glasses of water a day. [ clotito's advice column | Ask clotito A Question ]
mrs_radcliffe answered Monday April 18 2005, 4:31 pm: Get some vasaline. Its only 99p But it wont be more where you are you can get it in small sticks or in a round really small tub which you can carry around with you, just put a bit on when your lips are sore or chaped or dry..
Daisy answered Monday April 18 2005, 5:13 am: Use Vaseline - it's the best thing for them! If its windy outside or if you have the heating on in your house your lips will dry out because they don't have enough moisturiser in them to keep moist. But don't lick them as they will dry out quicker! [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]
HyperactiveMiss answered Monday April 18 2005, 2:05 am: Even if your lips aren't chapped, chapstick still does wonders. It keeps your lips moist and soft. Very kissable too. lol. So if you're a guy stick with some nonscented chapstick. If you're a girl you can have some chapstick or lipbalm or lipgloss. It will keep you from licking your lips. Licking your lips just makes your lips get even drier. You could also try applying chapstick/lipbalm/lipgloss on your lips before you go to sleep at night. In the morning your lips will feel better. Miss_Lily answered Monday April 18 2005, 1:34 am: You need to stop licking your lips. Your saliva can dry your lips out faster, making them chapped. Instead, keep some lipgloss or chapstick in your purse or pocket and apply that when you feel your lips getting dry. I reccomend something with SPF in it to protect it from the sun and wind. If you want to add a little color to your lips, find some that contain a hint of color in it. Also look for petroleum based lip gloss. [ Miss_Lily's advice column | Ask Miss_Lily A Question ]
xOtWiXi answered Sunday April 17 2005, 6:17 pm: Licking them isn't helping, it makes it way worse! Blistex, Vaseline Lipgloss/Balm, or even Chapstick (even though they are not chapped, it will help the dryness)really help bring the natural moisture back into your lips. Hope I've Helped! ♥ [ xOtWiXi's advice column | Ask xOtWiXi A Question ]
mn731 answered Sunday April 17 2005, 4:22 pm: Do not lick your lips...They will dry them out even more...a solution to get your lips moisterized is to get this thing called Aquaphor...I am sooo addicted to this stuff..It keeps my lips very soft and not dry! It's a little pricey but worth it! Also, dry Burt's Beeswax..It's kind of like a chapstick..It's made from Beeswax..and when you put it on, It feels refreshing! Or, if you like flavorful stuff, get yourself a tube of tasty lipgloss! Hope I helped! [ mn731's advice column | Ask mn731 A Question ]
xcuriousx0 answered Sunday April 17 2005, 4:09 pm: dont lick your lips! no matter how dry they are. your gonna look really weird if your always licking your lips. just wear lip gloss...that usually makes your lips moist...or you could get like a moisturizing chap stick...

Poppsie answered Sunday April 17 2005, 3:13 pm: You should use vaseline lip care which you can get from most shops like supermarkets, pharmacys and they are really cheap and come in handy tins which you can take around anywhere with you. If you continue to use vaseline you soon feel your lips go back to the normal state you just have to keep on apply it to make it work, even when you lips are back to normal keep applying it to make your lips soft and shiny. I wouldnt consider trying to use lip gloss to keep them wet becuase ip glos doesnt have the lip care that vaseline does, lip gloss could even make your lips worse and even dryer. Also chap stick could be good for your lips even though there not chapped but it could make your lips better to. But think vaseline would be the best thing to use. Hope you take my advice. Chriso61o answered Sunday April 17 2005, 2:48 pm: dont wear lip gloss when you dont have to because that often drys them out, use chapstick like burts beeswax or softlips theyre btoh really good and so is rosebud and than at night before you go to bed try using aquaphor its in a tube and comes in big jars, its like vasaline but not as greesy [ Chriso61o's advice column | Ask Chriso61o A Question ]
ballerina04 answered Sunday April 17 2005, 2:31 pm: Use some sort of gloss, or even Vaseline just to keep them moisturized. Chapstick can work too, even if your lips aren't chapped. I have the same problem, and putting a little Vaseline on them works very well. Hope I helped. ♥ Kristen [ ballerina04's advice column | Ask ballerina04 A Question ]
JazzY answered Sunday April 17 2005, 2:31 pm: This could be a sign that you need to drink more water, so I reccomend that you start drinking more because thats what I think is bothering your lips. You could also try chapstick, but I'm not very sure. Plus it'd be safe to just go with it, right? So pick up some carmex or something and start drinking because I am pretty sure that that is the problem because I get that dry lip stuff too sometimes. Hope I helped!

Karen answered Sunday April 17 2005, 2:11 pm: Try putting Vaseline over them. That always helps me. Or you can buy a regular chapstick that has a moisturizer in it and that will keep your lips from getting dry. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
