I've been seeing this guy for a month now. I'm 21 and he is 28. I'm in college and he is just getting started with a new job out of state. He likes the qualities I have, like school and that he thinks that I am a good person. But he keeps telling me I am just so young and that I have so much more to experience. I don't understand why our age difference is such a big issue. Someone, please enlighten me.

How do you handle feelings for your brother's best friend?

I really like my brother's best friend. It seems like he likes me, too. Other people have told me the same thing. What I'm wondering is...should I say anything to anybody or leave it alone? Since he's my brother's best friend, he's around a lot. I've considered talking to my brother about it, as we're really close. And when he was drunk a few nights ago he told me that if I dated (his friend) he'd love me. That was the same night said friend drunkenly asked for my number and to take me on a date and never went through with any of that.
I really don't know, but I'm making myself sick at missing a chance with him...even if I'm not positive I have one.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hey thar everybody! Ever since I was little I've always been confused about gender, and I think I've always been kind of androgynous. I have always had kind of a mannish body, I prefer men's clothing to women's, and it recently occurred to me that I might be bisexual. I don't know how to react to my sudden realizations. Do I go on and let loose the androgyny? I never cared what peers think of my looks and I know my family won't care. I'm so bloody confused! Please halp!
Side note- I also have a thing for androgynous/cross-dressing men.

Well I'm 23 yr old guy that finally got his first serious job. My dad's best friend helped me out to get involved with their company. But I was transferred to a different state so I packed up and moved.
Now I won't get into big detail, but my Boss's secretary quit all of a sudden so he asked me if I was interested. I ended up taking it and it was a pretty o.k job. Paper work, answering calls, setting up meetings and such, everything was going so well. Until he asked me to take care of some "personal" business.

I am seeking advice on making some new friends and in mending previous friendships. In the past, I've been really shy and uptight when I meet people, and I feel as though I may come across to new people as being unfriendly...and my old friends don't really ask me to hang out anymore. I miss them and I feel uncomfortable asking them to get together because I am scared of rejection and awkwardness. I do really care about my friends and miss their presence in my life, but I don't know how to show it.
I want to change this perspective that I think people have of me, and I want to make new friends and become close with my old friends again.

I'm 16 yrs old and my mom is constantly angry at me. This has been like this since my brother(12) came back home from living on the other side of the country, where he lived with my dad for a while. She ignores me in favor of listen to whatever my brother's saying instead of me. My bro will snap at me and talk to me like I'm a piece dirt and when I snap back(out of anger) she tells me off like I'm the one in the wrong. How to avoid a pity date?

So here's what I need help about... There's this girl at my faculty that I've been meaning to ask out for like 6 months. By the way, it would be my first time asking someone out... (lame, I know)! I think I've finally worked up the nerve to do it, but lately I've been reading about the so called "pity date" thing. We're not particularly close as friends and I have no idea if she knows I like her (I think she doesn't). She is VERY nice and kind to everyone without exception and I think it's a virtue... But that's also what worries me. How do I know she won't just go out with me because she's NICE? There was this girl let's call her Jessica. Jessicaa and I were best friends all of our high school years. We were glued to the hip and everyone at school knew we were like sisters. But when college started things got rockey for us. We drifted and soon she had a new bes friend. It hurt and stuff but I tried to let go. So I have an ex who I've known for 2+ years and we dated for...almost 11 months. During one of our breaks I met someone else and we were together for 4 months. My problem is, I want to be with both, but I know I can't. When I'm with either one of them, I'm so happy, but when I break up with one, I miss them and just want to go back to them. Basically, I'm stuck between two great guys and I can't say I love either of them more. I don't know what to do. :/

Having suicidal thoughts...again.

Are there any painless ways to commit suicide? I have given up on life and pretty much want it to end since nothing seems to go right anymore. If you want some back story then I will be breif. I am 22 and have attempted suicide two times and they were obviously failed attempts. The first time I shot myself in the chest and survived, the second was overdosing but again failed. I have tried changing my life around but to no success. I have no parents to turn to and I have no siblings. My friendlist is zero and well...I think this can only be fate I suppose. Can anyone recommend a simple method?

Last night I had a dream that i saw a green snake in my house. I wasnt scared of it and it didnt harm. It was in my closet then it came down and went down the hallway and then down the steps then I woke up. It seemed pretty weird. Why would I just randomly dream about a green snake. Do you know what it could mean?
