You can make a grilled chicken taco, put it in a whole grain shell, use skim cheese and fat free sour cream, and tons of tomatoes and lettuce. It's delicious and much more healthy for you. [ TuscanSun's advice column | Ask TuscanSun A Question ]
DearAbby92 answered Monday September 5 2011, 11:17 pm: That depends on the kind of taco, I guess.
Is taco bell good for you? Not usually.
If you can get a taco shell that is whole wheat or multi-grain, that is better than the traditional flour tortilla.
The ground meat is usually greasy and fatty, so if you cook your own you can buy meet that is fat free, and you can cook it without all the oil.
If you are going to slather it with cheese, use low fat/fat free organic cheese, and don't use a lot.
Don't load up on sour cream either.
Use fresh salsa (salsa verde is great) or hot sauce to add some kick to your taco.
