I'm really not completely familiar with the whole arranged marriage thing as I am from a different background..

The way I would do it is casually talk to her, Make her feel comfortable. Assuming you both are meeting for the first time take it slow as if you were just meeting someone. Get to know her, Let her get to know you. Once you two are comfortable with one another then you work your way into hugging her but whatever you do don't be too forward or pushy.

Wow, this sounds like a very scary and new experience.

I suppose you should just hug him warmly with a smile and say something like "It's wonderful to finally meet you" or something to show you are excited to begin this experience.

Best of luck,

-Abby
