My face is SO dry. I look like a snake shedding it's skin and it's really scary looking. I moved to a really windy place recently and my face went nuts. It's so dry that when I open my mouth it feels like it's cracking open. It hurts so bad and I've had to check a few times if it was actually bleeding! The flakes of dry skin coming off are HUGE! It's embarrassing!
I've tried putting aloe vera gel on it but it seems like it dries it out even more. I bought a vitamin E stick from WalMart and rubbed it on my face but it doesn't moisturize enough and made my face hurt even more. Now I'm putting hand lotion (from Avon) on my face--slathering it on thickly. I'm afraid that the lotion is going to make me break out though since it has all of those perfumes in it.
How can I moisturize my extremely dry face?
Exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot Scrub once a week, and use a moisturizer with a sunscreen daily. I recommend Neutrogena products, and you can find one that will suit your skin well. Also, as scary as it sounds, using Vaseline on your skin at night will actually make it wonderfully soft so long as you keep it off of your T zone, and so long as you aren't naturally very prone to breakouts. You can also try google searching "Homemade Oil Cleansers," there are cleansers you can make with jojoba and olive oils and the like that are fantastic for your skin, and can help keep it perpetually moisturized. (Don't worry that this sounds gross/unclean/acne inducing -- read up a bit, this is untrue!)
I was wondering if anyone could lead me towards some good psychedelic reads.Sort of in the vein of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.Just something that's generally nonsensical and trippy.Nothing futuristic though.
You may or may not like House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski.
okay well i was randomly thinking back to the 90's haha and i was wondering if anyone knew what that magic sand that you could put in water and then grab some out of the water and it would come out completely dry? anyone know the name of it im interested in buying some. thanks!
Squand? I think that might be what its called. I recall that thats what the name was for that sand that you can make formations in the water with and I do belive it would come out dry.
Try googling it, I'm pretty sure they still make it, I remember buying some 'Spongebob' Squand not too long ago.
i was just wondering what is a skinhead?
Usually a bald person.
ok i have a 9 inch tall mohawk and im wondering the best way to fan the hawk like to where it will wash out i want a fan like the members of the casualties like i know how to do liberty spikes but idk how to fan my hawlk when its this big
Put up small pieces at a time, and use both hands to smooth it straight. Don't use a lot of gel, it will weigh it down -- use a small amount of gel and use a bit of hair wax and as soon as you've got it straight or about straight, spray it with hairspray. (Aerosol is best.)
I have really bad acne and I have tried everything I can imagine...does anyone have any natural remedie that they find work cause I need some help, and the prom is this year so I dont want everyone knowing me as zit face... want to look like all the popular girls!
"I wanna look like all the popular girls!"
That line. Is stupid. BE YOURSELF, not a copy of another.
Anyway, my face just broke out really bad a couple days ago. I combatted that with Maximum Strength Oxy pads and Clean 'n Clear face moisturizer with salicylic acid. My face cleared up in a matter of two days.
ok so im getting braces this thursday but before that i need to make a decision whether to get the clear or colored ones. the clear ones are NOT invisilign just to let you know the clear ones are basically the same as the colored ecept they match the color of you teeth. now the thing is with the clear ones if you eat something like chocolate, your braces would turn brown which i dont really want to happen but they say it doesnt happen if you brush your teeth a lot (which i do) but like in school if i have like a chocalate bar or something i cant brush my teeth in school and the other thing is pratically all my friends have the colored ones and i really havent seen many people with the clear ones.
can someone help me figure out what to decide?
thank you so much
sorry its kind of long
I vote go for the colored ones. The clear ones may look pretty good at first, but they ARE still noticable, and by a couple of weeks the rubberbands start to turn yellow, and no amount of brushing will fix that. Since you get your bands changed usually every six weeks, you're stuck with yellow braces for 2-3 weeks. Colored ones are what most people have because of the yellowing factor of the "clear" ones, and they're also fun because you can get the colors changed to suit your mood, for what holiday is coming up, to match an outfit you're going to wear to a school dance, anything like that.
ok so lately after i dry then straighten my hair and go to brush it and its really staticy and starts like sticking up..is there anyway to stop it from sticking? thanks so much!!
Stick a dryer sheet on your hairbrush and cut around it so it fits to the size of your brush. The bristles should be sticking through it, and the dryer sheet should be up against the back of the brush. It combats static and also if you get the scented kind, makes your hair smell really good. (I'm not kidding, it really works. Just make sure you're not allergic to them)
does anyone know of a website that you can post your poems on and get feedback?
www.poets.com
PROS:
Feedback and ratings on your poems.
Each poem WILL be rated and commented on, at least seven times. (I think thats the number..)
You keep all the rights to your work.
CONS:
It costs money.
In order to post poetry, you have to rate poetry.
I had those little rhinestones that you can get from Claire's on my cell phone. Well they started to get old so I tried to peel them all off.
Now the sticky glue stuff that held them on is all over the back of my phone and I can't get it off. I've tried several different things but nothing can get the glue off. Do any of you know how to get it off? Please help, my cell phone looks disgusting noww!
Do NOT use Nail Polish remover or Paint Thinner or anything like that, it will take the PAINT off your phone. There's stuff you can use called GooGone or GooAway that you can find at places like Walmart, Hardware Stores, and Craft Stores. Just look around, you should be able to find it and it will get the glue right off.
Hey 16-m. I'm terrible at keeping to a schedule and managing my time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could try to manage my time better? I usually have things to do after school, and by the time I get home I have just enough homework to keep me going late into the night. After I look back on the day, I spot out about half an hour at the least I could have saved if I did things differently. Any ideas? ...I used to have a tan line on my wrist from my watch, which might explain why I've been bad at this lately [would getting a new one help?] Will rate - thanks a lot.
To keep yourself organized, I suggest you plan out your day - every day, and write it down. Write down EVERY LITTLE THING - and stick to it. Schedule in a half hour of extra time that you can spread throughout your day as needed if something unexpected comes up. I do suggest you get a watch, you'll be more aware of what time it is and what needs to be done when its right there on your wrist. Good luck!
what is the best medicine/pills for mentrual pains (im 13 and overweight if that matters)
I get horrible cramps when I'm on my period, and I take Midol and put a rice pillow (Pillow filled with rice instead of stuffing, you can heat it in the microwave and it stays warm for hours) and they usually go away. So I suggest midol and some sort of heat on your abdomen.
okay well i asked a similar question before but it seems that know one got what i was saying so here it is again.
okay i got ddr max (or whatever the purple one is called) for xmas and its really hard for me. like within 5 sec i fail. so are any of the other ddr games for ps2 easier? because this is the newest one i think and its hard! if any are easier please leave the name of it!
I have DDRmax2, but there should still be a 'Training Mode' on your game. Try going through all the stages of that first. Then start playing on 'Beginner' mode, until you get good at it. Then you can work your way up to light, then standard, then Heavy if you get good at it.
Nothing is going to make you better at it except for practice!
my friend randomly tells me"you wanna play neopets?" and i said haha sure so now we have a bet on who could get the most 'neopoints' by 2006. I'm losing. By a lot. Can anyone give me their old accounts or tips or hints or anything??
Play games. ALL THE TIME. And do the freebies like Tombola and the Advent Calander, and sell what you can in your shop. Play all the games, especially the promo ones for movies and such, they're easy and give lots of points.
Good luck!

You know how hot water freezes faster than cold water? Okay well, is there anything that says hot water boils faster than cold water, or does it not matter? I need people to answer this that honestly know the answer. I will rate!
Cold water would freeze faster than warm water because it doesn't have as many degrees to drop until it reaches freezing point.
This would work the same with warm or hot water, it would take less time to boil because the water wouldn't have as many degrees to rise until it reaches boiling point.
Can anyone translate the line from 'Romeo and Juliet' for me?
Romeo, Romeo. Wherefore art thou, Romeo?
I'm not sure what you mean by "translate", but I can explain the play to you somewhat.
There are two families, the Montagues and the Capulets. The families do not get along, infact, they are enemies. The Capulets (Juliet's family) have a party, and plan for Juliet to find someone to marry at the ball. At parties back then, young suitors even if they were not invited would come, but with masks on. Romeo(From the Montague family) goes to the party, and dances with Juliet. They fall in love, and then find out that they are from enemy families. They get married in secret, by the Friar in his room. Later, Romeo gets in a fight, and kills someone. He is told that he either must get out of town, or stay in Verona and be executed. Juliet does not want her lover to leave, so her and the Friar have a plan for her to drink a potion that will make her appear dead, and she will only be sleeping, and Romeo will come to her and they will reveal the marriage. However, Romeo does not get the letter telling him that Juliet is NOT really dead - the day she is engaged to be married to the suitor her parents set her up with. Romeo thinks his lover is dead, finds an apothocary, and drinks a lethal potion. Juliet wakes up, to find her love dead, kisses Romeo, and then stabs herself and dies.
Romantic, eh? And if I totally just wasted my time and you were wondering what "Romeo, Romeo, Wherefore art thou, Romeo?" meant, its just Juliet wondering where Romeo is.
EDIT: Why are you rating so low on this? If you already looked it up yourself, don't ask. Troll ratings are not cool.
i'm going to a green day concert in december and i realise there'll be thousands of people there but my friend and i were wondering whether there is ANY CHANCE of getting our cd signed. like, could we leave it with security guards and pick it up later?? or wait around long enough afterwards and go ask the band ourselves?? i dunno, we're not too fussed but we're wondering whether to try or not. thanks.
You've got no chance. Security guards aren't going to go out of their way to get their CD signed. Green Day is so popular with so many people now, and they do shows in HUUUUUGE arenas and such, that they can't come out late at night/early morning outside the venue to meet with fans. They are usually whisked off hidden somehow, for either security reasons or they're too stuck up to care about the fans. (They'd be there for hours anyway, so many people.)
Sorry - keep your eyes open, bands do signings at record stores and such every once in a while, or sometimes at smaller venues or something they can walk around a bit.
I didn't know what category to put for this so ... Anyways, getting to the point. I have oily skin between my eyebrows so I was wondereing if anyone knew any home remedies or inexpenesive products to take care of this, not cover up tho! Thx, i rate high (that is... if u helped! LOL) By the way Im 15/f, if that matters.
Oxy pads/Stridex pads, or clearisil spot treatment is good if you only have a couple spots that are greasy and don't want to risk drying out the rest of your skin. They're all pretty inexpensive, and they work really well.
Why is it that it only takes a tender theme (a girl and her horse, etc.), some introverted "intelligent" young characters, and a couple of sweet lines to get people to see a movie and get approval from critics? I think of "Bee Season" and "Dreamer." They are all just dumb cliches.
Because the world is corrupt and thats just the way the cookie crumbles.
Anyone know any bands that are technoish, 'scene'ish?
Ex. Peachcake
Reggie and the Full Effect - MAYBE.
Maybe not so much but they're awesome anyway.
New London Fire
