i know its a longshot, but...

Question Posted Friday December 2 2005, 8:20 am

i'm going to a green day concert in december and i realise there'll be thousands of people there but my friend and i were wondering whether there is ANY CHANCE of getting our cd signed. like, could we leave it with security guards and pick it up later?? or wait around long enough afterwards and go ask the band ourselves?? i dunno, we're not too fussed but we're wondering whether to try or not. thanks.

I wish it was that easy! There are like 27348467362903784 people at those concerts and unless you have backstage passes then you would have to wait in line for HOURS if they were even signing. Good luck though, maybe you'll get lucky

Im not trying to sound all negative or anything but theres like a 1/10000000 chance that ur gunna get a green day cd signed, unless u got like really expensive and special tickets.

Sorry,

i would say no unless you got backstage passes or whatever. you might what to bring whatever you want signed just in case but your chances are very low

You've got no chance. Security guards aren't going to go out of their way to get their CD signed. Green Day is so popular with so many people now, and they do shows in HUUUUUGE arenas and such, that they can't come out late at night/early morning outside the venue to meet with fans. They are usually whisked off hidden somehow, for either security reasons or they're too stuck up to care about the fans. (They'd be there for hours anyway, so many people.)

Sorry - keep your eyes open, bands do signings at record stores and such every once in a while, or sometimes at smaller venues or something they can walk around a bit.

really i hate to break it to you.. but probably not.. and you cant leave it with security because.. we'll they wont take it. best thing to do is this.. go to the greenday web site and see if they have a PO box.. send the CD to the PO box address with a letter and see if they sign it or just send it back.. i'm pretty dumb when it comes to greenday so i cant help you much. but its worth a shot

Honestly you wont be able to leave it witht he securtiy guard or pick it up later--and as for getting it signed and asking your self is very unlikely--people whi get close u susally have back stage passes-and the band does not take time to just sign cd's BUT hey you neer know unless you try good luck
