Sorry this will be kind of long. I was on multiple anti-depressants for about 6 months after a tramatic event that unfortunately happened to me. I wanted to get off of them so I took a pill to slowly get off the anti-depressants. After going off them I realized I gained 20 pounds in a month. I was concerned because that did not seem normal to me I was a size 3 and I am 5"6, I went from 135 pounds to 158 pounds and a size 11. I went to my gyno and she said 3 of the anti-depressants I was on were proven to gain weight as a side effect she said it was normal but to go to weight watchers if I wanted to lose weight.Great. I am a college student, so I walk everywhere.For almost 2 months I have been watching what I eat,as a snack I eat fruits or a handful of nuts. I work out 7 days a week for either 30 minutes to an hour. I walk almost 3 miles and then I go for an hour i split the time between a half hour on the eplliptical machine and the last half hour on a exercise bike. I am now a size 7 but I still am not at a size 3 that I have been since I was in 10th grade. I do not look chubby, my legs are not "fat" they seem to have become muscle now and I had a "pancake butt" before but now it looks more toned and lifted. I also take a womens multivitamin everyday. My question is what is wrong? I feel like I am doing something wrong and I get so upset with myself that I start to cry because I am not at the size I used to be. Is it because my body is changing and I am getting older? I dont know. If anyone had any suggestions or might know what is wrong please let me know thank you!
You just said it; you gained the weight because of the pills you were on. Yes, now your no longer on them but don't expect to cut 20 pounds in a month, nobody can do that ( well not the healthy way anyways). Keep working out as much as you are and as long as your not over eating you will lose the weight. Be patient; getting the body you want the hard way (eating right and working out) takes time.
Lastly if your worried about muscle weight you should be fine; your workout is cardio based so if u gain any muscle it'll be on your legs and should be noticeable
driving in a air conditional car immediately after exercise, what health risk does it have,cos i hear its not good.Please enlighten me.
It's not bad as long you don't have it so cold that it hurts or makes you feels bad. It's not good because for the entire time you've been working out your bodys been trying to keep your body temp down (sweating), and now your changing it back drastically by having it too cold. I like having my windows down all the time so I just do that instead of putting the air con on, but If I do because there dirt in the air of its raining I'll keep it at a little under warm temp.
So don't worry it's fine as long as you don't put the temp very low
My fitness teacher has a Crush on me but I. Don't have a crush on him and if I tell him he will hate me it already happend when I told someone but he knows I have a boyfriend but still likes me and he understood I wanted him too add me on Facebook but I didnt it will be soooo invarrising if I go to my fittness class +he gets to touch my body becuse he corrects me
It's not as difficult as you think it is. Tell him that you have a boyfriend and aren't interested; if he's going to be childish about it then find another instructor, maybe a girl this time? I know a lot of girls would feel the way you do about this (uneasy, awkward) and that's because you don't want to upset anyone, and you don't want to lose a friend. But if he's going to be upset that you won't leave your boyfriend for him he's a moron and not a friend worth having; so don't feel bad about what you have to do
Okay. Well , I have like absolutly NO arm muscle.
I can do like half a push up. && when I flex its like no muscle what so ever? How do I qet some biceps && triceps? Pleeasee && thankyou.
I like to work out my bicep's by using dumbbells. When i first started working out i started off with 15's but i had a little muscle. Maybe you should start off with 10's do 10 with each arms sitting down (Doing these while sitting is alot harder then standing up). Do as many sets as you can and dont wait so long in between sets try to do them as fast as possible. And when you can do 8 sets then go up some weight ( 15 to 20 20 to 25) Eventually you will be doing 35's maybe even 40's if you stick with it. As for triceps you can hold yourself up close to a bench and go down then back up ( i hope you know what i mean its tough to explain) start off by doing 10 and as many sets as you can. When you get to be doing 5 sets start doing 20 and when you can do 5 sets of 25 then find a workout with weights unless your happy with the size of your triceps. Good Luck

okay so i weigh like 150 and im only 16 but i wanna loose some weight by july and i need some tips. It's not that im fat b/c i dont really think that it's just i wanna loo extra special.

You should eat right (salads, and fruit). Run 3 times a week at the least. You could also work on abs if you want by doing crunches 20-25 starting at 5 sets. Every other day go up a set if you can. Good luck
i want to lose weight. im 13 years old and am over weight by about 30-40 pounds but i dont look like it. i want to be healthier and i lost 20lbs last summer but i gained all back and i want to lose it by may but i have a slight problem, whenever i think about how i look or start a new eating healthy plan or something i get all depressed because of the way i am and start eating. horrible and weird i know but i cant help it. i have an elliptical at home but i never use it. i want to lose weight more than anyone knows. Help! what type of foods should i eat, what kind of excersises what do i do?? help! thanks in advance!!
Ok you need to start eating salads, fruit, and protein such as chicken or fish. For the workout out i would recommend running and doing situps (or if you have another ab workout use it) start off doing 3 sets of 20. Then work your way up every other day another set. Work out 3 times a week no more no less. But you can run every day if you want too. Good luck
Ok, so I'm starting to think about working out for the summer. The only problem is, I have a terrible procrastination problem and I don't commit to things very easily at all. I also want to start dieting but those problems still apply. How do I make it easier to wake up and actually enjoy running?
It makes it alot more fun and easyer if you have a friend that is doing the same thing. Someone that has had experience doing this so they can push you towards your goal. Best of luck
my thighs are alright...but i want to get rid of the fat on the upper, inner thigh, and i want to get the bump in the front a little reduced..ive tried pilates, and i know it says that it makes your body lean, but lots of adults i know that do pilates their thighs are always really muscular, i dont want really muscular...so excercises please for inner and front of thighs!

Running will make you lose the fat off your thighs there are some other exercises but there for gaining muscle and i know you don't want that. But if you change your mind message me and ill tell them to you. Best of luck
okay i dont know if this is a yeast infection but my vagina has ben red and EXTREMELY itchy and it hurts when i walk
is it a yeats infection?
and what do i do if it is?

Okay let me tell you my situation. I'm 5'3, 110lbs.
I know I sound quite thin but I'm storing fat on my stomach (ESPECIALLY on my love handles, which in turn makes me look big when looking at me from the front or back) I'm also storing fat on my back (which I find gross).
Here's what I want to do:
- Tone my arms, legs & butt (hopefully something that's going to make my butt muscles bulkier, therefore making my butt bigger, not smaller)
- Lose stomach fat & lovehandles
- Lose back fat and maybe work on my back muscles too.
(I know you can't spot reduce fat, by the way). I don't have access to a gym or to any weights or anything so bare that in mind.
Anyone know some exercises I can do (other than crunches, I'm doing those anyway) and foods I should stay away from?
For arms you can do push ups, legs & butt you can do leg lifts, cruches are good for your stomach but it depends how much you do i recommend that you start of doing 3 sets 25 each then every other day you pick it up a set on everything you do except push ups start of at 3 sets 15 times. As for the back i dont think there is a exercise that you can do without weights. For food just eat healthy eat salads, fruits, and protein such as fish or chicken. work out 3 times a week you don't want to hurt yourself. Best of luck

If you want to take it off your stomach you can do some ab work outs such as crunches, situps, leg lifts. start out doing 3 sets of each (25 of each 3 times) then just keep going up every other day in sets. if i eat just breakfast like a bagel in the morning and eat like a little bag of chips 150 calories and come home and go running for like 30 mintues, would that make me lose weight faster since i didnt eat that much and am probably burning more than i ate that day?
Thats way to little too eat especially if you do any kind of workout such as sports or just running. Its ok if you eat as long as its healthy try salads, fruit, and fish. Best of luck losing weight
i am not fat. i know that. however i have what my mom likes to call a "buddah belly" which is like the area where my belly button is a bit big. ive tried crunches and ab work outs. is there a certain diet i should start? or a specific work out that will make my stomach flat? i would really love to get in shape before summer =] thanks so much !
I don't recommend a diet. Unless you have been eating to where you get full if you do then eat what you normally do but just enough to hold you until you will eat again. On the workout just keep working on abs crunches, situps, leg lifts. start out doing 3 sets of each (25 of each 3 times) then just keep going up every other day in sets.
