Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. This site helped me a LOT when I was in high school and had a lot of questions, and I'm here to help anyone who needs it :) Feel free to write in my forum or send me a question any time!

The Final Act

Screeching tires, shattering glass,
twisting metal, fiberglass.
The scene is set it all goes black,
The curtain raised the final act.
Sirens raging in the night,
sounds of horror, gasps of fright.
Intense pain, the smell of blood
tearing eyes begin to flood.
They pull out our bodies one by one,
What is going on, we were only having fun!
One of my friends is missing, what did I do?
Her scattered belongings everywhere,
in the road there lies her shoe.
A man is leaning over me and looking in my eyes,
"What were you thinking, son"?
"Did you really think that you could drive?"
He pulled up the sheet still looking in my eyes,
"If you'd only called your Mom or Dad, you'd still be alive!"
I started to scream, I started to yell;
But no one could hear me, no one could tell.
They put me in an ambulance; they took me away.
The doctor at the hospital exclaimed, "DOA!"
My father's in shock, my mother in tears,
she collapses in grief, overcome by the fear.
They take me to this house and place me in this box.
I keep asking what is happening,
But I cant make it stop.
Everyone is crying, my family is so sad.
I wish someone would answer me,
I'm starting to get mad.
My mother leans over me and kisses me good-bye,
My father pulling her away, she is screaming, "WHY"?
They lower my body into a dirt grave,
It feels so very cold, I yell to be saved.
Then I see an angel; I begin to cry.
Can you tell me what is happening?
she replies "YOU DIED."
I can't be dead; I'm still so young!
I want to do so many things - like sing, and dance, and run.
What about college or graduation day?
what about a wedding? Please - I want to stay.
The angel looked upon me, and with a saddened voice,
"It didn't have to end like this; you knew you had a choice."
"I'm sorry it's too late now; time I can't turn back."
"Your life is finished; that, my son, is a fact!"
Why did this happen? I didn't want to die!
The angel, she embraced me and with her words she sighed,
"Son, this is the consequence you paid to drink and drive.
I wish you made a better choice, If you did you would be alive.
It doesn't matter if you beg me, or plead on bended knee, There is
nothing I can do, you have to come with me."
Looking down at my family, I said my last good-bye.
"I'm sorry I disappointed you, Dad.
Mommy, please don't cry,
I didn't mean to hurt you, or cause you any pain.
I'm sorry all you're left with is a grave that bears my name.
I'm sorry all your dreams for me have all been ripped away;
the plans for my future all gathered in a grave.
It was such a stupid thing I did, I wish I could take it back;
But the curtain is being lowered.

what is a good product to use to make your hair less frizzy?..i am kinda looking for something that i can rub into my hair when its when they blowdry it and not have to take as much time to straighten it..i guess something that blocks against humidity and frizzies if that makes sense

well i'm not sure if this will help, i only heard of the product, but there is something called Friz-ease, or something like that.
I really don't know anything except that it should help make frizzy hair better

about a month or 2 ago, i tripped and fell and a nail sliced my leg all the way down...(sorry if that is gross) and now i have this really ugly scar...is there anyway to get rid of it? thanks! ill rate you either a 4 or 5!!

well, what I would try is cocoa butter. Most likely it won't completely heal it up, or make it disappear. Maybe next time you go to the doctor, you could talk about methods or anything that might help.

Ok so I'm starting my new job at Subway on Monday. And I want to know how I should do my make-up and stuff. I have medium brown hair, green eyes, and kind of tan/pale skin. They said we can wear jewelry, but not long necklaces. I want to wear earrings but do you think hoop earrings would be ok for the first day? They also said we could have our nails done but just professionaly. Thanx! I'll rate you a ONE!

well with jewelry, studs just the 1st day, and maybe talk to the manager or whoever about hoops.
well, maybe some foundation or blush, not too much though, and lip gloss instead of lipstick, and maybe some eyeshadow to match whatever your wearing, or to bring out your eyes.

hey! I was wondering if you had a dance team at your middle school. 3 of my friends and I are starting one this year and are sort of like the coaches/captins cuz we have to make up the dances, do tryouts and all that. We didnt know how much we would really do with the dance team though cuz all the other teams at our school are just cheerleading (they cheer during the games and go to competition), baseball, soccer, and basketball. We knew we would try to go to competition, but if thats only a couple times during the year or whatever, what else would we do?

well, when i was in middle school, there was a step team, which is sort of like dancing, they did steps during the pep rallys. I think it's pretty cool. Well I wasn't really apart of anything like dance, so I'm not totally sure. If you live in a neighborhood, or near any nursing homes, and it's allright, you could perform for sick kids, or elderly people, or you could have a show in your neighborhood, as $3 dollars for every1 over the age of 5, and $1 dollar for anybody under the age of 5, including 5yr olds.

I'm not toally sure if thats what you mean, maybe you could try to ask one of my fave columnists, or sum1 else you think would know. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

well,this is what i'd to, depending how long your is. I'd cut it, make it a few inches longer then your shoulder, maybe about as far down as your breasts. Then get long layers, I think it's look really good, plus if the layers are long, you can still put it uip in a ponytail.

i just started my new school and im the only 8th grade new student!!! everyone has already went there and i really wanna be happy! Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone go to that school and is in 8th grade?

talk to people you sit around, when you walking in the hall, and you see somebody that you know is in your next class, walk with them. Just strike up convorsation. I just started high school, and I decided to take a short cut to my next class so I could get there on time, and I knew some1 who was going the same way, exept I had to go further down that hall, So we walked and talked, and she's pretty cool. Maybe bring an interestiong object that you're allowed to have in school, or a picture that you really like, most likely people will ask about it!!

8th grade is an awesome year, I had so much fun, and as long as you have people to get you through it, then it's even better!!!!

well, I'm a catholic and I'm against abortion, but thats not the point.

In a way, it's a sin for our religion, but really you have the right to believe what you want. The only sin that will make you go to Hell is by saying bad things about our Lord, and Jesus Christ, or by not believing.

As long as you ask God's understanding on your opinion, you as the rest of us faithful Catholics, will go to Heaven. Hope I helped, need anything about our faith, or christianity (since I'm both) feel free to ask!!

Then it will give you different options for a layout, you can either click preview, just to see how it looks, or you can click use this, or w/e it says

My sister always likes going swimming with me and my dad. I find it fun too! But the thing is she's been planning it since last Sunday for her me and my dad to go Swimming today. But when I went to the bathroom this morning, I found out that I have my period. So I told my mom that I couldn't go swimming. But then when we were driving home from Church today, my sister brought up the subject, and my mom said that I couldn't go. She kept on asking and asking why I couldn't go and we told her because I can't. So now she's really mad at me. She's only 9 and doesn't know about periods and stuff so she's really mad at me. I feel really bad. I wish she was a little older so that she could know. So now I feel really guilty. What should I do?

well, you could either try to use a tampon (unless this is your first ever time) or you could tell her that you don't feel good, which wouldn't be a lie, because normally you don't feel good. Or you can have your mom tell her that you got in trouble at school or something, I mean it isn't nice to lie, but she's a bit young for the truth. Then again, girls start off with their period as young as 9, and as old as 17 so for all we know she'll get hers soon, which is weird, yet possible.

ok, well what a lot of people do is charge around $5 an hour

I do it like this

1-2 kids, $5
3-4 kids $7
and more then that, $2 per kid $3 per hour

if they ask, then tell them how you charge, thats the best way, because as the previous answer, people do talk

oh, and for children that are like 1 or 2, where all you have to do is change a diaper and put them to bed, and there is pretty much no watching necissary, then like $2 an hour

This is the 20th century, most people get more the 1.50 an hour

Most of my naybers won't pay under $5 an hour even if i offer, so I say $5 per hour at the least

what should i start charging per hour when i babysit?

1-2 kids, $5 and hour
3-5 kids, $7 and hour
more then that $2 per kid, $3 per hour, cuz thats a lot of kids

Or you can do more then 1 kid, then about 6-7 an hour

just one kid could be 5 an hour

I still do $5 an hour, because I've been babysitting for more then 2 years, so the people are so used to charging me that, but like if new people come then I'm going to start charging like $7 per hour, unless there's one 1 or 2 kids
