about a month or 2 ago, i tripped and fell and a nail sliced my leg all the way down...(sorry if that is gross) and now i have this really ugly scar...is there anyway to get rid of it? thanks! ill rate you either a 4 or 5!!
xo_dream answered Monday August 30 2004, 8:10 pm: Mederma, cocoa butter, neosporin scar sheets or whatever they are, Scarfade, Laserfade, and vitamin E can all help them fade. It might not completely go away, but it can help. Doctors can also do laser treatments that can help to get rid of them. [ xo_dream's advice column | Ask xo_dream A Question ]
Paige answered Sunday August 29 2004, 6:28 pm: Hey~ You can buy it at the store and it is called Vitamin C...it makes heal faster. You will still have a scar but no one will notice it as much! I hope I helped! ~Paige~ [ Paige's advice column | Ask Paige A Question ]

MeganKristine answered Sunday August 29 2004, 11:52 am: Oh, I've read about how to get rid of scars, (Or atleast hide them untill they naturaly disappere) What you need to do is by some heavy-duty conceler, rub it over the scar, and blend it into your skin, just like you would with puting it on your face, brush powder over it, and that scar should disappere! It works with this huge nasty scar I have on my hand, from when I was in 6th grade! (Now in tenth grade.) Hope I helped!
KirksSkater answered Sunday August 29 2004, 11:16 am: Well sometimes scars stay forever, but you can to to the drug store and look for cream to cover it up, i have lots of scares and the cream works really well! [ KirksSkater's advice column | Ask KirksSkater A Question ]

S_C answered Sunday August 29 2004, 7:44 am: well, what I would try is cocoa butter. Most likely it won't completely heal it up, or make it disappear. Maybe next time you go to the doctor, you could talk about methods or anything that might help.
Good Luck, and wow that must've hurt!! Oh, and I don't give a darn about the rating, if you do rate me, rate me honestly!! [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]

Sunshine answered Sunday August 29 2004, 2:33 am: I had shoulder surgery a few years ago and I have a really big scar. I used to put cocoa butter lotion on it at least 3 times a day. I didn't totally get rid of the scar but it lightened it up alot. It used to be red, but now it's flesh toned. I know a guy that had the same kind of surgery, but he didn't use cocoa butter, and his scar is really red and ugly. There's also some medicine that you can buy called Mederma, but I don't know if it works. [ Sunshine's advice column | Ask Sunshine A Question ]
