Sister Trouble
My sister always likes going swimming with me and my dad. I find it fun too! But the thing is she's been planning it since last Sunday for her me and my dad to go Swimming today. But when I went to the bathroom this morning, I found out that I have my period. So I told my mom that I couldn't go swimming. But then when we were driving home from Church today, my sister brought up the subject, and my mom said that I couldn't go. She kept on asking and asking why I couldn't go and we told her because I can't. So now she's really mad at me. She's only 9 and doesn't know about periods and stuff so she's really mad at me. I feel really bad. I wish she was a little older so that she could know. So now I feel really guilty. What should I do?

Make up an excuse and tell her that your stomach hurts and that you have a cramp.. I don't see why you don't just go swimming, I would.

You can swim with a tampon in. There's no reason to change your plans because of your period.

Well tell her that u are sick, and u cant go swimming when u were sick like u were, tell her that u promise that u will all go swimming (Insert a good date here). and she will forget about being mad at u.

Just tell your mom to tell her why you can't go swimming today. You could also tell your sister that you are going to be very sick for the next view days or something. Or if you want, wear a tampon so you can go swimming. Hope I helped :)

well, you could either try to use a tampon (unless this is your first ever time) or you could tell her that you don't feel good, which wouldn't be a lie, because normally you don't feel good. Or you can have your mom tell her that you got in trouble at school or something, I mean it isn't nice to lie, but she's a bit young for the truth. Then again, girls start off with their period as young as 9, and as old as 17 so for all we know she'll get hers soon, which is weird, yet possible.

Ask your mom to explain it to her. Nine is a young age to learn about periods and stuff. Tell her that your stomach hurts and when you go in the water it'll hurt even more, at lease that why I tell my little brother when he asks me why I can't swim sometimes.
