Put simply, all dads were once teenage boys.
Your dad is your best friend in this situation. He is the one who will stick up for you when/if this boy does something to hurt you.
What you are describing is completely normal. If a boy doesn't want to meet your dad, your dad KNOWS he has something to hide. It is a fact.
Since your boyfriend is OK with it, everything will be fine.
Remember: Your dad WAS the same age as your boyfriend once... believe it or not. :-)
He knows what it is like to be the boyfriend, and isn't going to be too hard on him.
All men talk about protecting their babies. Frankly, when push comes to shove in your life, it is your dad who will amaze you with his ability to help.
Step back from the situation and see it from his point of view. Everything will be fine. :-)

ok heres the thing. i'm so upset because my mother always does this to me. she's like "oh, we're going someplace," and then i get all happy and right when i'm about ready to go, she says "no, i'm too tired." or "no, it's too far, we'll go tommorrow!" and it just pisses me off soooo much!! the thing that i'm even madder about is that she's the only one who CAN drive me around, because first of all the place i want to go is a little bit too far for someone who doesn't have much practice to go by myself on like the turnpike, but for her, it's a piece of cake! and she really wanted to go before that, but she just does this to me every time. she's like, go study, but i have no homework. i don't have to do anything for school. all i wanted was to go watch a wrestling tournament that i told her about YESTURDAY and she won't take me!! and i'm super, super upset. i want to get there before it ends, which is like at 3:00, and i want advice on how to get there. let me point out that like i have no friends, because i hate everyone in my school because it's a stupid snobby little empire and i've just excluded everyone, so friends or anything can take me. the only person who CAN take me is probably my cousins or something, but i don't really think they like me too much, the ones who can take me. i don't know why, they're just very quiet. but, please please give me advice, because i'm like smoke coming out of my ears because i don't like it when she does this, and she does it ALWAYS. plus, i've pointed it out to her and she tries not to do it, but she does, so i just don't want to talk to her about it anymore!! i just need some advice on what to do. please and thank you (link)

I know this is past your deadline for this question, but I thought I would add something you might not have considered:
Why does your mom do this? Could it be that she is always tired from working and stuff?
If that is the case, maybe it is time to stop being mad at her. Obviously she WANTS to do stuff with you, because she offers, but when the time comes maybe she is just too worn out to be safe driving.
Maybe if you want her to work less and have more time when she isn't tired, the key is for you to help her out by bringing in some money and helping to pay the bills.
I am not being smart here... it is just that there are only so many things you can do when your parent is stretched to the limit and tired all the time.
If you aren't old enough to hold down a job and help your mom out like that, maybe you could do all the housework for her, so she didn't have to come home to that.
If you don't know how, you could also learn to cook. If you do know how, maybe you could have dinner made when she gets home, so that she doesn't have to do that too.
See, there are lots of things you can do to give your mom more energy and time to take you places. Just pick one, or more, from the list and start helping her out.
I hope things get better for you, but no matter what, remember this: Don't hate your mom... you will find out soon enough that she is there for you even when you think she isn't.
Mom's are really something.
Oh, and don't forget Mother's Day is coming up, so do something extra especially nice for her and she will want to do something extra nice for you too. :-)

I have been dating this guy for over a year. I have 2 girls and we all moved in with him. We have a great relationship. He is in the Army and left for 14 months for training and as soon as school gets out me and the girls are going to move out of state to be with him. By now I hope you are aware that men and women think differently from one another... very differently. This situation revolves around an advanced lesson in the differences between men and women.
Simply put, in his mind this is what happened:
Him: Please trust me?
You: NO WAY!
... that simple.
It has nothing to do with passwords and everything to do with trust.
The only reason you would not give him the password is if you do not trust him. I am serious... no matter what other reason you give yourself, it all comes down to trust.
My question to you is this: Do you have a reason to withhold your trust from him?
If so, you should be honest and tell him why you don't trust him.
Why tell him? Simple... this will happen again. Absolutely guaranteed.
If you are together with a man you can't, or won't, trust, it is time to ask yourself why you are with a man you can't trust.
If you are honest with yourself, maybe you will find that you do trust him, but for reasons of your past you aren't willing to trust anyone, and it has nothing to do with him specifically.
Remember, this isn't about passwords. If you let it be about passwords, you will only be dooming this relationship, and the next, and the next... because this WILL keep coming up.

If you can cook at all, you should be able to do crepes. They are fun, and you can make all different kinds of them. I recommend the sweet fruity kind for your class. Strawberry is a personal favorite. :-)

The fan in my tower sounds like a vaccuum. It doesn't sound like a normal fan. I asked around and people said "oh thats normal its just overworking itself and trying to cool off". Ideas? Yes, absolutely!
Turn your computer off, and have the offending fan replaced.
If it is the CPU cooler, this is a relatively inexpensive repair.
If it is the fan in the power supply making noise, it is usually cheaper to replace the PS than change the fan out.
Either of these locking up (it is only a matter of time) will result in the death of your system.
Power supply fan failures have been known to cause electrical fires. The kind that burn houses down... :-(
Like I said, simply turn off your machine before it gives up the ghost and have the dying fan replaced.
It will not get any better on its own.

I know what people mean when they use the phrase "in the biblical sense". Please don't define it for me or give me a link to urban dictionary. What I want to know is where the phrase comes from. This is really impossible to answer adequately without modifying the question a bit. The phrase in question is really "Do you KNOW her, in the biblical sense?"
The reasoning behind this is that the KJV and many others use this reference interchangeably with "went in unto her" to indicate that sexual relations took place. Examples:

Silver prices change daily, so you really need to know how to do the math to get an accurate figure.
One Greek talent (as best I can find referenced) = 82 pounds 4 ounces.

Therefore one talent = 1,316 ounces. But WAIT, there is more... silver is traded in Troy ounces, which are completely different than the standard ounces we use every day.
So 82.25 lb = 1199.479 t.oz
As of April 18th, 2007 the spot price for silver: $13.96 per ounce.
1199.479 t.oz * $13.96 per ounce = $16,744.72684 per talent.
I hope this helps you better understand the madness involved in calculating silver values from ancient measuring systems. :-)

Vaguely like cheese. When I was a little guy (about 4 years old) NO cheese was safe near me. ;-)

I have heard this EXACT situation before, except the ages were different.
In the situations I am familiar with, this is what happened:
Girl says: I want to wait.
Guy says: If you don't by this date, it is over.
Girl begs him to change.
Guy says: Ok, I love you and will wait to take your virginity.
Girl is really happy.
Guy proceeds to have sex with every available girl, while he is "waiting" for virgin girl to say OK.
If he is like others in this situation, and he probably is, then he IS waiting... waiting to take YOUR virginity. Doesn't mean he is waiting to have sex.
If you doubt any of this, have a look through the love life category here. Dozens, if not hundreds of questions that should help you see things for what they most like are.
I wish I had higher hopes for your situation, but I don't. Both my wife and I were virgins when we were married, but experienced similar things to what you are going through... "sorta-kinda."

Living where you do is a real blessing in this time of crisis. There MUST be 1,000 hotels in L.A. County which have banquet halls large enough for your reception.
Get on that in the morning. Just start calling from the yellow pages. Many of the display ads will mention what facilities they have.
Planning a wedding is scary enough without having your plans changed without your consent. I feel for you.
Another option, if you simply cannot find anything else, call some social clubs: Moose lodge, Elks Club, etc. Some of those are actually very nice.
If all else fails, call a wedding planner and ask for their recommendation for short notice change of wedding plans. They will probably want to be paid for their advice. You can't blame them I guess, wedding planners make a living helping people plan weddings after all. ;-)
I hope you find the right place. In Los Angeles county, I KNOW you will find a place to hold a wedding, and or reception.

Well, here is how you find out:
Take the iPod video's available space, which in this case is 27 Gigabytes, and divide it by the average length of an commercial mp3, which is 4Megabytes.
27 Gigabyte Apple iPod Video drive = 27,000 Megabytes.
27,000 / 4 = 6,750.
... and now you know how to find out how many songs fit on any other mp3 player as well. :-)
