I really want to play softball. I want to get in shape because I think try-outs are very soon. What can I do to prepare? What should I take? What should I wear, I know that I should wear nothing to tight but something kind of neatly loose, right? SOmeone please help me. Thank You in advance.

do some running...it really depends on your current shape. try sprints tho b/c most of the running in softball is all or nothing. (meaning a jog to 1st base won't cut it!) try doing some weights...dont OVER do it tho. go to batting cages if you can, practice with other people trying out and go to conditioning. wear a confy pair of shorts and a tshirt and its better if you show up with someone...it will take away some of the nerves. goodluck!

hey, i'm a sophomore in high school and i attend an all girls school. I've been at this school since freshman year and it's a really great school. It's great academically and the activities are great, but their's one problem.. and that's the social aspect. I've been thinking about transferring because I really don't fit in at school at all. I am in honors classes and i take an AP class and i've been in class with basically the same girls and i don't fit in with them at all. They are so different from me and i've given them a chance and it doesn't work. I've talked to a lot of people that aren't in my classes that i'm in theatre with, but it isn't working for me. THeirs another school in my area thats a boy/girl school that i coudl transfer to. i don't know if maybe that would be a better option, i could start over and make new freinds .. i just don't know if its worth risking my good academic standings at my current school and the awesome extracurriculars. does anybody have any advice?? i seriously dont know what to do anymore i've been crying all week. it really sucks and it just wears on me not having any friends at school. please please please help... and let me know what you would do in my situations. thanks. any advice is appreciated-- all advice will be rated a 5.

well, i know what its like to be at an all girls school and yeah it can be challenging to find a group. if you really feel that theres no point in trying anymore, transfer tot he other school after the theater (like whatever show you are in) is over or after then next quarter. hang in there, sometimes the most unexpected people can become your best friends.

okay so my boyfriend && i have been going out for 9 months now... he's a great boyfriend .. he has his days but i guess my dad doesnt think he respects me *thats just my dad trying to be protective* but anyways he wants me to give him head.. ive told him that im not ready bc i am only 14 but like he keeps on trying to get me to do it- i know that if he respects me he will understand but a part of me wants to && feels its the right time... number 1 i dont know how.. && number 2 i dont know if i should. am i too young and what would you do.. no smart ass comments either please keep them to yourself but i rate high

ok so everyone at my school wears a thong. Tey tell me that wearing a thong is sexxy and it makes you cool.Well i tryed one on and i hated it. I could not stand it!! So I dont wear thongs. its normal, not everyone likes them. you could try some made of different material if you really want to...that might make it more comfy. (really, i wont lie!) you're not a loser... girls at my school used to torment girls that did because they said it was "slutty"... cute bikinis will do!

I'm wondering, I'm only 14 at the moment, but girls my age seem to go for the bad guys and the biggest jerks. Why is that? I am a gentleman and I am as nice as can be and they always tell me that but why do they go for the jerks?

I'll put it this way, some girls are stupid. (yes, this is comming from a girl.) they go after guys they think are "hott" to make everyone jealous or think they are "a cute couple". personally, i think its total BS for either gender to do that. dating at 14 is a joke unless someone older is with them. i go for nice guys... "hott" guys are usually but not always jerks. don't turn bad for girls to like you, its not worth it.

I just bought a new shirt from aeropstale and when i got home i was lookin at it and they kept that security plastic thing on and i heard you can only get it off with a special thing! Im sooo mad i wanted to wear it tomorrow! does anyone have a way to get it off without ruining the shirt??? PLEASE HELP! 5'S!!

omgosh! that happened to me like last week cept it was on a belt! i went to put it on then i saw the tag. it was from aero too! you're gonna have to take it back to the store before you can wear it. i know how much it sucks...sorry theres not other way. oh and bring the recipt with you just in case.

does anyone know any good stores to buy Knee-High socks? like wild ones. Not just ordinary white, black and grey ones. Like with patterns and things of that nature. I don't know what to do for halloween this year!!!I'm 13 and I'm over the whole trick or treating thing and the nearest bon fire to me has been abolished and there are other ones near to me but thats where all the bad crowd hang around and you'd be lucky enough not to get your ass blown up by fire-works.

only dorks go trick or treating when theyre over "big 1-3". what's wrong with trick or treating? free candy and youre 13 anyway. you could have a party out halloween games are for babies and since your a big kid you need to have a fire. just have people over, watch a scary movie and do whatever it is you kids like to do.

ok there is this guy. i talk to him on the phone every night. i really like him and i know he likes me too cause he said it to me on the phone yesterday. i had a secret i wanted to tell him which was that i liked him. he was trying to get the secret out of me for days. and everytime he would always say "you only have one life to live, so live it to the best," cause he didnt want me to be afraid of telling him the secret. so i told him and hes like, "well i like you too...where do we go from here?" and i said i dont know and there was silence for about 4 seconds lol. then he kinda chnaged the subject and after a while his mom was yelling at him to get off so we had to hang up. i can't help thinking about that "one life to live" thing though. should i ask him out? the only problem is that he isn't really allowd to talk to girls. he told me that if his mom answered then to pretend that he had the wrong number or just pretend to be a guy lol. but if his dad answered then it was ok. so i dont really know what to do. does this mean he won't ask me out? i really really really like him and i really want to go out on a date with him. what do you think, should i ask him out or wait until he asks me?

i say wait a little while until he asks you. if it takes over a month after this then ask him out.

Hi. I'm 13/m and my sister is 14/f. Last night she was IMing a friend from another state who said he wanted to have sex with his girlfriend. Then they got into a discussion on why it's right or wrong to have sex before age 16. My sister believes that she should wait until she is 16. I belief any pre-marital sex is wrong, and I refuse to lose my virginity until I am married.

Later in their conversation (I was being a little brother and looking over her shoulder) he said that my sister's boyfriend wants sex too. My sister said no, but the other guy was just like "ooooooo yes he does". Then I remembered that theory that all a guy ever wants is sex. Hence, the song Punk Rock 101 by Bowling For Soup: "She thinks that it's love, but to him, it's sex!"

I don't trust her boyfriend. I've transferred a call to my sister, and he really didn't sound all that great. Also, my sister refuses to let me meet him in any way. He can't come over, because I just can't meet him. I tried to IM him. My sister told him to block me. What the hell?

I'm afraid of two things: number one, does he want sex? Saying no is probably harder than it sounds... and number two, will this change her image of him? Will she be consious of the fact that he may or may not want sex? I know if I were in her shoes, I would. I don't know... I'm just worried for her...
