advice

Ok, i know why someone would like someone [as in you find then attractive, they have a good personality, and they are kind and caring people] that part makes sense. But ive always wondered what it is exactly that creates the feeling of liking a person?
For example there could be two guys: both are sweet, friendly, and good looking [obviously everyone has a different idea of what good looks are but physical attraction is also part of liking a person] So both these guys would be cool and fun to hang out with, but maybe a person would only be attracted to one. I wonder why, what creates this attraction to only one, when the other is just as good? There has to be something about a person that you find special, maybe like something about them inspires you. I'm not sure if there is an exact science to it but if anyone might have any ideas please let me know
thanx =D

I think there is a science to it.
Though, I think it's really complicated and different for everybody. Therefore, nobody could explain it exactly. I'll try my best to explain how I think of it, though.

I think that basic attraction comes from what you said [personality, great person, etc] and your first judgement of a person. You don't know much about them, but what you do know, you like.

I think though, that as you get to know the person/people, it goes much deeper. You start to see their flaws, and much deeper into the person that they are. Then, you find yourself accepting their imperfections, and finding that you're really loving the person that they are.
While you may meet 2 guys, both sweet and attractive, this doesn't mean they're the same person. I think THAT is why you become more attracted to one over the other.
You begin to see deeper into them, and you find yourself more attracted to the one that you like (for lack of better word) better. Maybe you have more similarities with one than another, or you just find that one isn't as sweet as you thought that he was. Therefore, your attraction for the other one grows.

My own attraction?
Ultimately, I find myself attracted to guys who make me feel good (though, don't most people?).
But it's deeper than that, I mean, if a guy calls me "hot", that doesn't mean I'm going to feel attraction towards him. (trust me, I'm speaking from experience here). But if a guy calls me "beautiful" and I feel like he means it (speaking about me both inside and out), then I'll find myself attracted to him. Then, I'll get to know him more, and if we have a lot in common and I feel a sense of trust and I have just a general good feeling about him, then I'll find that I really do like him.
I also find myself attracted to guys who make me laugh and isn't afraid to open up to me. Those, are definetely the most attractive things.
Along with a good taste in music, and an obsession with LOST wouldn't hurt.
wow I sound picky ;]

I don't know, maybe none of this made sense to anybody but me, but that's how I see it.

This was a really cool question, and I hope I helped =]

which movie do you reccomend me seeing? im a 14 year old girl. juno, jumper, 27 dresses, or penelope?

I saw Juno and it was pretty good, so I guess that would be my first choice. I'm not interested in Penelope...so, I'd say no. 27 Dresses would be my 2nd choice because I think it looks adorable and I personally want to see it. And Jumper is my 3rd choice, and another that I personally want to see.

So:
1. Juno.
2. 27 Dresses.
3. Jumper.
4. Penelope.

lately, me and my girlfriend have hit a sort of wall in the social part of our relationship. it seems like every time im around her, i dont know what to say. we have been dating for 9 months, today, actually, and it seemed like in the beginning of our relationship i was much more spontainious. what are some ways i could get better at that and bring out relationship back to life? thanks.

Well this is tough. I kind of know how you feel. Like you've been with someone so long, it seems like there's nothing left to talk about, kind of. I don't know...
Anyways...

I'd start off by asking about things that change. Like, how she's feeling or how her day went. This way, every time you ask, the answer is different. And asking her shows that you actually care about how she feels or how her day went.
Then, maybe ask how her family has been lately.
I know I like when guys show interest in my family and other things besides just me.

Also, maybe the reason you were more spontaneous at the begining of the relationship, was because it was new and something you weren't used to. But now (and I don't mean this in a bad way) you're used it, and it's not new or anything.

i really REALLY like this boyy. but hes a major flirt. i dont really have a problem with it tho. my question is, is there somehthing i can do to make him fall for ME ? thankss (:

Well, I'm not a guy, but I know this:
You can't MAKE a guy 'fall for you'.

My best advice? Just be yourself.
For a relationship to work, you have to like each other for what you ARE and what you WANT each other to be.

If you feel like you have to act differently around him and be someone you're not, then he isn't worth it anyways.

Look at it this way:
Would you rather be dating him, but always have to act differently because that's the way he likes you, or be in an open and honest relationship with someone who likes you for the real you?
I don't know about you, but I'm gonig with the 2nd one ;]
Good Luck!

I heard this song on the radio yesterday, and it went something like this (example):

"Then you screamed the bridge, and I cried the verse and our chorus came out unrehearsed."
^ [insert ANY lyrics there] ^

WHAT IS IT CALLED AND WHO SINGS IT?!

It's so simple to find out song titles using lyrics.

1. Simply go to this website:
http://www.letssingit.com/
2. At the top, in the yellow box:
Click the arrow in the drop down box and select lyrics.
3. Type the lyrics.
4. Voila! You (hopefully) have found the title of the song you were looking for.

Are there any signs that a girl likes you?

Well I know this girl and I think she may like me. She smiles a lot and seems to like me as more than a friends...but how can I be sure?

I'm going to start off by saying this: if a girl smiles A LOT when she's around you, she probably likes you as more than a friend.

The Top 5 other things to look for:
1. She laughs at your jokes.
- No matter how many times she's heard them, or how totally lame they are, she'll laugh at them. End of story.

2. She touches you (not sexually, get your head outta the gutter!)
- She plays with your hair, or fixes your shirt or something. Maybe she even holds your hand, that's a pretty good sign that she likes you.

3. She includes you in things.
- She talks to you even when she's with her friends. She makes an effort to include you, like by asking you things. Even lame questions like, 'What color should I paint my nails?' might be her way of trying to include you.

4. She makes an effort to talk to you/see you.
- She texts you just to say hello, she's late to class just because she wanted to hug you good bye, or she calls you just to see what you're doing.

5. She trusts you, and talks to you seriously.
- She tells you things that she might not normally tell others. Like, if she's in a bad mood and tells others she's fine, she'll actually tell you that she failed that geometry test, or her friends aren't including her lately. She opens up to you and isn't afraid to be herself.

Even though every girl is different, these are the top 5 things girls do when they like a guy. So, chances are, if she's holding your hand and texting you saying :" Hey whatcha up to? :)", chances are she's doing it all for a reason.

ive always wondered this...but what goes on in a guy's head when he really likes a girl? like he really likes her truly for who she is, and not based on looks or anything like that. is he constantly thinking of her, or what?

Here's what my friend (A Guy) had to say:

this one kid in my science class, his dad died. what do i say, or do? i dont know him well. but i feel incredibly bad. i dont really want to make him a card. i think hugs are bettter. but do you think thatd be tottaly weird if i like hug him? like i just say i'm really sorry, and just kinda hug him. because i dk, if that happened to me, i think id just want to be hugged. uhm? what do you think i should do?

Are a lot of people talking to him?
If so, I'd give it some time. You don't want to bombard him when everyone else already is.

Once people start to relax a little, then I'd say something. Kind of like Sima below said.
After a few days, I'd just ask him how he's holding up, if he's alright or needs to talk, etc. Just let him know you're there, even if you don't know him well, because if this happened to you, you couldn't even imagine how you'd feel.
It's always nice to know someone's there =]

I really don't think you should. My friend got hers pierced, changed it, and then got an infection. It was so gross and I don't think it's worth it. Just wait until it's fully healed to change it.

"the kite runner"
and "a raisin in the sun".

i've heard of them and never got them.. cause i thought it might be boring for a 14 year old girl like me. i mean i usually like to read.. but i don't know.. i tend to not go for books that are pretty old though i like a couple

I'm reading The Kite Runner and it's alright.
I don't plan on reading A Raison in The Sun, however, because it just doesn't interest me.

Also, have you read The Great Gatsby?
I just read it for school, and I thought it was outstanding =]

Is it weird for girls to ask guys out?
Which do guys prefer?
Any opinion is appreciated.

I don't think it's weird. I mean, I'm too shy too shy to do it, but I'd think guys would like it.
It shows that a girl has confidence and is comfortable enough with herself to do something bold.

Do you find super-skinny women like modern-day super models to be attractive?

Do you find super-skinny girls/women you know to be attractive?

To put it simply: No, for both.

It makes girls (like me) who are normal sized insecure. It's promoting an unhealthy image. It's making girls think that they should be wearing a size zero or extra small, when they're perfectly fine with whatever size they're wearing.

It's different, though, when someone has a problem. Like, I know a girl who had an eating disorder and she was really skinny. At first, I thought she was nasty looking, but then I found out she had a problem and actually wanted to gain weight back. That's the only exception in my book.
