Nearly everyone knows information specific to a topic that is useful to a great number of people.
If one can take a minute and quickly help with a topic they know well, more power to the rest of the folks that find it when they need it.
The lack of ethics, empowerment and education in the world has created some huge disinformation zones to grow up in.
Do your part to reverse the trend, eh?

Honestly? I just like helping people. My favorite feeling in the entire world is knowing that my advice or suggestions have helped somebody. I don't know, I just love the feeling that somewhere, someone was helped by me. Even reading my feedback, I always smile seeing that my advice is helping/has helped other. I also think it's good kharma, ya know? Trying your best to help someone and taking your personal time will give you good results in the future.

well because i know that everybody makes mistakes and if a little advice can help someone fix it. im willing to help. i guess im so used to talking with people of all ages that tend to spill their heart out and ask for help randomly from working in nursing that i feel weird if i dont atleast TRY to help someone. that sounds really... stupid but. yeah. that would be my answer

I give help to others because its like one of the only things that makes me a little bit happy, my life kinda blows so why not help someone else be better at theirs.

I kind of got into it by accident, but I'd been giving advice all my life, and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Lol.
On a more serious note, I've been through a lot in my life: bad breakups, good breakups, WEIRD "relationships," eating disorders, psychological issues, sleep problems, etc...I know I can help people, and I know I'm not the only one who has gone through these things, or is going through them. Sometimes people just need someone to relate to, and I like to think one person can make a difference in someone's life.

My motivation is because I like to help people. I'd like to think I am fairly well at giving advice. Also, I always like to give my opinion on things, and when I'm older I want to be a therapist or psyciatrist. So, this helps me practice.

Uh. Because people need help. I like to help people, & I like giving advice because I feel more people should listen to me because I actually know what I'm talking about.
