My name is Melissa. I'm a sophomore, and finally SWEET 16. So, I'll be driving on January 7th. I usually go by May or Mel. In the picture is myself and my AMAZING boyfriend Kyle. He's truly my entire world & I'm not sure how I got lucky enough to get someone like him. I don't like girls. They're fake, and I just in general dislike most girls. Little known fact? There are times I hate my best friend, I mean, hate hate. She drives me insane. When I'm close friends with a girl it's a big deal. As far as best friends go; I have Kyle, who's the most amazing boyfriend in the world; Jennifer Anne Reese aka: PIECUP.. she's one of the few girls I'm close to. I'm generally a nice person, if I like you. If I don't, you'll know it.

In college I want to major in psychology; with a minor in wedding planning or some type of organizational planning type thing. I'm a planning freak. I ALWAYS have a plan, and if you don't plan stuff ahead of time, I'll probably kill you. I tend to change my plan spur of the moment a lot, but I always have one. Lol, one of those weird things about me.


I'm not that much of a "laid back" person. In general, I have my opinion, and I'm going to win. Drama = stupid. But just like every other girl on the planet, I definitely start my share of the drama. I don't like it, but it follows me like a puppy, so I'll just admit I start stuff.

Ohmygosh, lol NO! That's definitely NOT true. You don't even FEEL it. Seriously, I was crying when I got there to pick out my earings, because even though I have my ears peirced three times, cartilage, and my belly button done, I HATE shots and needles. I DIDN'T EVEN FEEL IT. All I heard was the gun. Seriously, it doesn't hurt you unless you jump or something like that.

Definitely Gossip Girls, those are SUCH good reads. I also would suggest books by Nora Roberts [those are more adult though], JD Robb, Jennifer Cruise [really good], Meg Cabot.. if you let me know what style you like I can send you more!

First of all, if you have ANY DOUBT AT ALL [which you obviously do, no offense meant] then DON'T DO ANYTHING YOU AREN'T COMFORTABLE WITH!! If he doesn't want to be with you because you won't do anything with him, then you shouldn't be wasting your time with him. Tell him you aren't comfortable and you aren't ready; if he's a good guy, then he'll be fine with it.

Ok me and my friend recently went to the movies and we missed our show so we were jsut hanging out and talkting to this really hot guy.So we told him we would come back next friday ( because he works there) and so I asked my mom and she said she wanted to go but she would just see another movie.I really dont want her to go so how should I say that without hurting her feelings??Should I say just goo shopping or something?!?!

It all started at a friends party. We didn't really have anything to do so we decided to dance. We went on top of a pool table and started dancing, a friend was video taping us on her camera just for fun. The next day the person who video taped us put it in her profile, which another friend that was they're put it in her xanga. wow, so now it's to where ANYONE can see it. Well a parent was looking though it and saw this video, oh and let me tell you we were GRINDING, big deal? its out of school. Well this stupid parent went and wrote a letter to the school AND to the super intendent, and PUTS this persons xanga so THEY can see this video too. oh my god so now the school knows about it and all the teachers are looking though the whole schools xangas and takes people out of class to talk to them about it. This frustrates me because this is OUT of school stuff. So then today the NEWS CAME TO OUR SCHOOL TO INTERVIEW PEOPLE ABOUT THIS XANGA THING. i dont know what to do. I'm like screwed major, i just NEED advice. ALL our parents know about this video and watched it and pretty much all of us are grounded. and it sucks but I can understand why they're mad. But im just confused. please someone who has been in a situation like this please tell me what happened and if it ever blew over. I just need advice. so please...thanks for your advice before hand.

It's not a school event. Your school can't do anything. Now if your parents choose to ground you, or say you can't have xanga, that's their right as your parent and legal guardian. But your SCHOOL cannot do anything to you guys. [Unless there's something on your xanga's about like cheating at school, or drinking, or something like that.] Good luck!

Underwear you should wear. Lol there's really no reason NOT to. But I would suggest a thong if you don't want panty lines.

Strapless dresses depend on the size and if you have the chest to hold it up. If you get one that fits it should stay up. This is going to sound really retarded, but when you're trying it on jump around and dance, then you can see if it will actually stay up or not.

Omg please help me you guys. This is gonna be kinda long ,but im just really confused!

Okay. Here goes :

I have friends that are twins(Kateri&Teresa). And i have another friend named Emily. Emily goes to highskool and she's a freshman.So am i. and Kateria & Teresa are in 8th grade but they should be a freshman but w/e thats not the point. Okay Me and Emily haven't seen each other in sucha long time but we hung out on Friday with out friends.

Emily and the Twins were really close when we were all in skool 2gether .Like really close,almost like best friends. Now when me and emily hung out on friday i was totally happy to see her since i haven't seen her because she goes to a different highskool than me. And we started talkin about the twins. And Emily was like "I don't really like the twins anymore." and i go oh my god why not you guys are like best friends. and emily was like "i kno but there just soo...clingy" and i was like in shock.

Me and the twins totally talk still and i luv em. And they started talkin about how emily was acting really weird and stuff..Like everytime they invited her to hang out or something emily would just be like "Well i don't really have time.."

Now i don't wanna go behind emily's back and just tell the twins. Becuase it was really good to see emily and i totally missed her. But i don't want to NOT tell the twins because im afraid that they'll tell Emily that i told them and i don't wanna hurt them either. Im just soo confused and omg its like irritating!! My question is should i tell the twins what emily said and go behind emily's back? Or should i just not tell the twins. Oh my god im super sorry that it is soo long but im soo confused! i don't wanna hurt anybody because i feel so bad!! and i don't wanna start drama!! =( please help!!

I would personally say DO NOT tell them. If she told you behind their backs, then she probably doesn't want them to know. Just talk to Emily and tell her that if she doesn't like them she needs to explain it to them because she's hurting their feelings. Hopefully it works out!

Okay theres this guy Jake(16/m). I met him during summer school gym class. He seemed to really like me and I like him. Everyday, we would laydown together during a 20 minute brake time twice a day on a big gym mat, it never failed. He always hung out with me and wanted to be around me. He always hugged me. He would tease me and hug me close when he was really sweaty as a joke. Then after it ended, we didnt talk for about a month. Then when school started, I thought maybe it was just a summer thing, but on the first day, he came up to me at lunch and gave me the biggest hug. He always comes up to me in the hallway and he loves to tickle my sides. He always gives me a hug good bye. Hes invited me to 2 of his soccer games. He sat with me and my friends at the football games. A few girls have told me they think he likes me...

but it hasnt progressed. I dont know if there is a reason he hasnt like asked me to the movies or to homecoming or anything. Hes never called me. One girl told me he does that to every girl... but I dont think so because she is a very jealous girl who liked him and tried to get close to him, but he only wanted to hang out with me. I just dont know if its harmless flirting or if he is really intrested... please give me your opinion!

Awww, it sounds like he really does like you! Just ask him about it! Really, you guys are friends so it's not like you need to worry that he's going to think that you're some random stranger or something.

Or if you're pretty confident, try asking HIM out. Just casually say that you should go to a movie or something. Then you guys can hang out and hopefully talk about it and figure out what's going on. Good luck!!

First of all, lemme clear this up: I'm not a jealous person by any definition.
My roommate has a new boyfriend. He tends to spend a lot of time in our room, overnight and all. It's cute. However...
There are two things that bother me:
1- My boyfriend is way out of state for college, and I really miss him. He and I were a very touchy couple, and hugged and kissed all the time...I'm kinda missing his presence physically and psychologically. My roommate and her boyfriend tend to do a lot of that - it doesn't bother me, exactly, but it makes me miss him more, and my boy's pretty much gone from this state for good, 'cause he hates it here. I'm stuck here for about five years, however. Yes, I get to see him during vacations, but still...
Anyway. So it bothers me like hell when I have to like...watch them. I don't want to deprive her of that at all because I love my roomie like a sister, and I totally understand the feeling...but I almost want to talk to her about it. Should I?
Also, her boyfriend staying with us like, every night but one for about a week, is almost starting to bother me a bit. I like him and all, and he's usually very considerate, but they kind of...*ahem* did things...at like...five in the morning. Normally, I honestly wouldn't care and would find it kinda funny, but I'd had a headache all yesterday, and today is one of my crazy days (I worked my schedule out somehow that I don't get a break from classes until around 3.) So I really could've used the sleep.
We have bunk beds because we wanted more space in our dorm, but the downside is my bed shakes when hers does. >.<
It really bothers me that this bothers me...I'm usually an extremely tolerant person (probably moreso than I should be), but this is really...um, bothering me.
So I guess my question is...er, what do I say or do, and to whom do I direct it?

Okay, as far as the whole "doing things" in your room and everything, that's just not right. Really it's not. You need to talk to her about that because it's your room too.

As for missing your boyfriend, you SHOULD talk to her about it. And even ask them to back off just a little if that would make you feel better. But again, remember it's her room too so there's not too much you can say about that. Good luck!

I suck at straightening my hair... like i dont know how to do it.... SO how do i straighten my hair... do i put some up before i do it and leave a lil down or what????

I suggest layers. Put about 3/4 up leaving the bottom layer down [and bangs if you have them] Then just straighten it in little peices. If you have a ceramic straightner, you can do more hair than if you have a regular one.

I was just recently in your situation. There's really nothing you can do about it, just try laying down 30 minutes to an hour earlier every night, and get up at your normal time. For a couple days you might feel tired, but then you'll start sleeping more and going to bed earlier.

Find a layout from a site [if you want some, ask again and tell me what style you like, I have a lot of good sites] copy the code, and go to CLAF on your site. Copy the code into the "insert custom header". Click save changes, and it should work! Good luck!
