well i dont know if that is true.. but i know that it dosnt like affect you or change what your ear looks like or anything like that.. plenty of many people get it done.. so i dont think you really have anything to worry about.. i know a lot of people who have it done and there ear is the same way it was before they got it done.. hope i helped..

No, it shouldn't damage anything. However, if you are really worried about it, go to a tattoo parlor and get it done with a needle. As long as the parlor is clean, the risk of infection is far lesser than getting it done with a gun at the mall. Also, the piercing artist has been doing his thing for years, where the mall turns over employees far more often. At most tattoo parlors you would have to get it pierced with at least a 16 gauge, though.

However, both ways are safe and harmless! So have fun!

Ohmygosh, lol NO! That's definitely NOT true. You don't even FEEL it. Seriously, I was crying when I got there to pick out my earings, because even though I have my ears peirced three times, cartilage, and my belly button done, I HATE shots and needles. I DIDN'T EVEN FEEL IT. All I heard was the gun. Seriously, it doesn't hurt you unless you jump or something like that.

The person below me has no idea what they're talking about, [sorry]

I've had my cartilidge pierced 5 different times, and nothing bad has ever happened to me. I think that there's a chance of it shattering your cartilidge, but I highly doubt it would, it MUST be rare. Make sure you get it done professionally though. You're supposed to keep cartilidge piercings in for a year without taking it out, but most professionals now say 3-6 months! Not 2 weeks that's total bullshit, you can irritate & infect it!! Good luck, it's the best ever, you should definitely get it! =)

the gun doesnt hurt nor damages any part of your ear if done correctly, it just feels as if a masquito bit you and you feel your ear a little hot for the first like 20 mins.

when you get it done MAKE SURE YOU DONT TAKE IT OUT for at least 2 weeks (let it heal fully) so you wont get any infections or haveto repearce
