we are having a bbq at my house and i was wondering if anyone knew any good djs to get to come to the bbq? no offence but please dont go looking up stuff on google.. i mean the wall could have told me to do that. i kind of want to know from like your own experience. thx!
Well, I personally am aquainted with a DJ, but he's local, and you might not live anywhere near me. No DJ will be willing to drive across the country, so I'm afraid your question is impossible to answer. I suggest that you ask around, look at public bulletin boards or in the phonebook. Your school probably booked one for a dance, so maybe you could find out who that was. DJs are everywhere! They are not that hard to find if you just take the time to look.
does anyone have any good things i could talk about with my boyfriend...we're both shy so its always quiet! i rate high!

~thanks~
Here are just a few things:
-The meaning of life
-your plans for the future
-what you would name your child
-what ridiculous funny name you would give your child, if you were slightly cruel.
-Politics.
-Comic books.
-Your favorite incense.
-School.
-Other people.
-Pigeons.
-Things that annoy you.
-Your family.
-Movies.
Hi! i am from India. my baby is 2 yrs old and since me and my husband are both working i have arranged for a babysitter for her for 8-9 hours. my question is : how does baby sitting help her and how does it harm her? i am very confused and require advice on babysitting and what should i look in a good babysitter?
Look for somebody with experience. And age! An eighteen-year-old would be better than a thirteen-year-old. Ask them to show up early so that you can go over household rules and the sitter and child can get to know each other. If they get there late, they'll probably make other mistakes, too, so I would decide to stay home in this case. They should also know first aid and CPR, so ask that.
There are more things, and ehow.com has a list: http://www.ehow.com/how_3328_find-baby-sitter.html

That's all I got, but I'm sure if you don't like them you can come up with a few ideas based on them. I highly reccommend not putting "sexy", "hot", "baby", "girl", or your age in your screen name, because that will make you an easy target for shady people.
Ok, so my friend and I had this really huge argument last night over which brand was better: Hollister or Abercrombie and Fitch. She thinks Hollister's way better, I think Abercrombie's waaay better. What do y'all think?(o yea, then there's my other friend who thinks American Eagle's better)
I don't like any of them. Goodwill all the way, yo! But that's just my opinion. I really don't think this is something worth fighting over. You and your friend are different people, and you like a lot of different things. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's better, because atleast you know that your friend isn't going to copy you all the time. My friends and I all have different styles and tastes, and we never argue about them. Just let it go, because it's not worth ruining your friendship over. =)
Is color gaurd popular like cheerleader, because my sister said that it was like being a cheerleader, but i dont know if that is true or not?
So, my question is this basically:
Are color gaurd people treated like how the cheerleaders are? (popular or not?)
Thanks ahead of time?
Hev
Depends on your school. At my school, everybody is pretty much friendly with everybody else. And if there is a group of people you'd rather avoid, that's easy to do because there are a lot of us. But I've talked to other people who say that their schools do have that type of caste system, where the cheerleaders rule and whatnot. But really, being popular isn't the point of color guard. If you want to do it, do it for yourself, because it's fun and you want to be involved. If you want people to like you, be nice and have confidence. Being popular isn't all there is to life. Some people are "popular", but they have a really awful life. Just be yourself, and be proud of that.
my boyfriend asked me if i wanted sex i said 13 was way to young to have sex and i wasn't ready! he said that that was ok and he could wait! but my friend said when she got drunk at a party the had sex! shes's apoliged and i've forgiven her! but i asked max ( my boyfriend) if he had cheated on me and he said NO WHO WOULD GIVE U THAT IDEA!! i'm really heard and wanna explain i no and dump him but i want to to it in a way which will heard him like he heard me! i no thats sounds meen but my best mate! how could he!! what should i do? be crule? our just leave?
If you try to hurt him, you'll only end up hurting yourself. It'll make you feel really guilty, and you don't want to live with that. Just be honest. Say that he hurt you, and that you don't want to see him anymore. Honesty is always best in this situation. If he's hurt, then he's hurt, but tough luck. You were just being honest, after all. Remember--two wrongs don't make a right. Don't go out of your way to hurt him, because it WILL come back to you.
Why do SOME guys think that showing your stomach is hot?
I mean, it is not like they are showing anything that you would probably bee looking at anyways.
Hev
Sorry, I'm a girl, but I can still answer this. You're talking about teenage boys, right? Yeah, teenage boys pretty much think everything is hot. They do have brains, somewhere, but it's hard to use a brain when you're constantly horny. Girls do it, too--I'm sure that you like to show a little skin when you're around a guy you want. Also, a lot of guys like to act cooler than they really are. You can do one of two things: give them an ego boost and tell them that they're sexy, or give them a reality check and tell them that they're losers. It's up to you.
Im 17 and i have had my Period 6 Years. This is the Second time i have missed my Period the first time was when i first started. I usually start around the 21 and last month i didnt. And it hasnt started yet. Im not sexually active any more. So i havent had sex in a good 9 months. Should i just wait. And see if i ever start?
Don't see a doctor yet. If a few more months go by and you haven't had it, THEN it's time to see a doctor because you may have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Especially if you show other symptoms of it.
If I tried to tell you everything about PCOS, I'd be typing for a few hours atleast. So just visit the website I'm going to put at the bottom.
If this is the case, don't worry. You're not alone (I have it!)

All these girls in my school wear low cut shirts, and short short skirts. My school dosen't enforce the dress code at all. What bothers me is when I'm caught looking at some girl's clevage they say things like, "Hey!" I just get kinda angry because why do all these girls wear clothes like that then not like it when people stare at there ass n' stuff. I just don't get it. They get all upset when guys try to touch them and stuff. That I can understand. But they have to understand that gusy act like that becaues they dress the way they do. My question is: Why do girls dress like that, then be mad at everyone for acting the way that they do?
I'd like to say that it's because they're not dressing that way for YOU, they're doing it for themselves. Why shouldn't we be comfortable? Why can men go just about anywhere topless, but women can't even work in their own garden without a shirt? It doesn't make sense; it isn't fair.
That's what I'd LIKE to say, but not all girls think that way. Teenagers don't have much self-esteem. These girls probably do this to look and feel pretty, they want confidence, and they think that confidence is equal to boobs. They secretly want guys to look at them, but obviously if they let you know that, they would be sluts. It's a long, cruel double standard that women have always had to deal with. That's why they act offended--they want you to think that they're pretty, not easy.
I don't know why they do that. People (males AND females) are full of contradictions. This is the way it's been throughout history. Humankind can be a beautiful thing, but humans do a lot of really messed up, brutal things as well. I'm sure these girls will get over it. People like to look at other people, and we like to be looked at. And that's that. Maybe next time, you can beat them to it and say, "Why are you undressing me with your eyes?!" You'll get a good laugh or two out of that.
I have this little tube of body lotion from simply basic. It says it's for adult use only. What's that suppost to mean? Why would there be a lotion for only 18 and up people to use? Tell me what are they talking about.
I think it just means that it's a little too strong for little kids. If you can reach the shelf where the lotion is and read the label, you're probably old enough to use it.
how one can be most success in ones life?
You have to figure that one out yourself. Don't follow anybody else's path--it probably won't work for you. You have to make your own roads. If you reach a dead end, turn around and choose a different path. It also depends on what you mean by success. That word can mean a lot of different things to different people. It could mean having a lot of money, or it might mean helping as many people as you can. It's your journey, and it's all up to you. You've already started (like, since you were born...or conceived, depending on what you believe), so get going! And NEVER have regrets. Good luck.
Ok so.... I despreatly need help. for graduation me and a friend were gonna go to L.A. and my parents wont let me go if my math grade is a c. and im really bad at math. and i just found out that were getting our final report cards mailed to us and it wont get there untill after were supposed to go there. so i need ideas to help me pursuuading my parents to let me go even if they dont know what my grades are. so yeah please answer if you have any ideas.
Maybe you could ask your teacher what your grade is, and he/she can tell your parents or write a note for you. I think that might be the only option you have.
My best friend ALWAYS has to have all the guys like her. Well, if a guy likes me or shows any signs in liking me she will try to get him to like her. She brags about all her guys, and she tries to flirt with the guys that like me. Why does she do this? I can't talk to her. What should I do? I'll give 5's. Thanks. And if you have good advice I'll give you the name of my column so we can talk more. Xoxo
Why does she do it? She may feel insecure, or just want attention. I mean, the best thing would be to talk to her and ask her if she's having some kind of problem. If the gentle approach doesn't work, get in her face. Tell her outfront that she's being stupid (some people, like myself, actually respond well to that). But if you really can't talk to her, then the next best thing is to stop being her friend. This is a toxic friendship...no good friend will try to flirt with guys that like you. Leave her alone. I know you don't want to be the "bad guy" who ends a friendship, but you need to look out for yourself. Don't hang out with people who are just going to hurt you. It may be just a phase she's going through. She may realize, when you don't spend so much time with her, that she misses you, and change her ways. Or she might not. I'm sorry, but this is reality--best friends do split up. Like I said, it doesn't have to be forever--you should just take a break.
It is pretty much impossible for me to empathize/understand people who believe in God and religion. I am fully against both of them, for a long list of reasons that I don't need to go in to. The deal is, people tell me I'm being sacreligous/a heretic/going to hell, but I can't understand where they're coming from AT ALL. To me evangelists and deeply religous people just seem like pitiful, misguided puppets of a nonexistent power. It tends to screw up my relationships with people.... Any advice?
Yeah, I used to be like that, until I met a really awesome Catholic woman who was one of my greatest mentors ever. You probably tend to think that all Christians are close-minded people who force their beliefs on others. And a lot of them are, but that's just a human thing, not a Christian thing. The key is acceptance. It's really not that hard when you set your mind to it. Whenever somebody does something that you don't like, just take a deep breath and say to yourself, "That's just the way they are." I mean, they're people too. I think all people need to be more accepting of each other. It's fine to think whatever you want about them, I'm sure they have their own opinions about you. But we're all just people, and we should try to be good to each other no matter what differences we have. I know that sounds incredibly sappy, but hey, I'm one of those optimists.
okay. i thought that this day, 6/6/06 was the day the anti-christ was supposed to be born. but everyone is saying we are all gonna die today, but the bible doesnt say anything about this. so what is actually happening today?
Well, as everybody told you, nothing is going to happen today. People are just freaked out because 666 is supposedly the number of the beast. I won't go into that any more since many people already have, but I will tell you what is actually happening today. A scary movie called The Omen came out in theaters. It's about the anti-christ. I believe they did that on purpose.
whn my friend tell me a secret about something
i say"WHAT??!?" and "REALLY?!?!" a lot and my friend says "shh..." or like that. am i blabbermouth? or just tooo loud?
If all you say is "what?" and "really?", then no. A "blabbermouth" is someone who goes around and tells other peoples' secrets. I wouldn't worry about it. If your friends had a problem with it, they'd stop telling you secrets.
does yoga really help you loose weight? and if it does, how? i dont really get how it gets you in shape. thanks. HELPFUL websites would be great too.
It actually doesn't help you lose weight. What it will do is tone your muscles, and make you more flexible and stronger. Those are good things, and I really reccommend you get into yoga. It also helps with stress and is really fun. However, it won't help you lose weight. You should eat healthy, drink water, powerwalk, and life weights for that. If you want more information about it try this:
unbelievably long but i only rate 5's

okay. well i know it's normal for some people to read a lot. i havent ever been into reading until maybe 2 weeks ago.. i went through all my library books and my mom let me borrow some books from her.. one of them was named Melody and it was from an author named V.C. Andrews
i know its kinda wierd, but i absolutely LOVE the book to the point where im making my mom get me her other books in the series. now here's the problem, there's only five books in the series and im not reading the last one because it's about Melody's grandmother and it just doesnt sound interesting. I dont know what to do when im done with the 4th one, i seriously am not gonna start reading again because i know that im gonna miss everything about those books. i cant even understand how i'll live without them.. so what should i do.. i want to write a letter to the author asking her to write more books in that series but someone told me the author was dead and it wouldnt make a differnce because i doubt she would really care or write more books for it (she only writes book series that go up to 5). i have to wait a whole week to get the 2nd book.
when i started reading the first book (the only one i've read so far) i read it nonstop. i read it at home, in school, in the car, everywhere i could.. what do you guys think i should do? dont tell me to see a psychologist or doctor or anything lol.. im not THAT crazy
What should you do? Keep reading. It's not a bad thing, it makes you more intelligent, and a lot of people simply DON'T read, which is really quite sad. Unfortunately, V.C. Andrews is dead, but she has other books and there millions of other books out there! Read everything you can get your hands on.
Here are some of my favorites:
"Luna" by Julie Anne Peters
"Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte
"Flipped" by Wendelin Van Draanen
And I'm currently reading one called "I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You" by Ally Carter
You're NOT crazy--you're awesome. Don't ever stop reading.
ok i was wondering if magic really works and if it does what is a good website to get some good spells?
Magic is real. It's all around you. Just look at a flower some time, or a baby, or the Moon. That's all magic.
There are some people who believe they can cast protective circles around themselves. If they truly believe in that, then it's probably true, for them. The power of the human mind is amazing. Do you know that we only use ten percent of our brains? Imagine what we could accomplish if we used ALL of it! There are people in the world who have cured themselves of deadly diseases just by willing it!
I believe that every thing in the world has some psychic or magic power. Some people are more in tune to their magic than others, but we all have it. However, it's not like fairy tale magic. Nobody can turn another person into a frog, that's just ridiculous. If that's the kind of spell you're looking for, you're setting yourself up for failure. Mostly, you'll find out how to cast a protective circle. I also think you should learn meditation--it's not defined as witchcraft, but I do think that it has some 'magical' quality. You can also get into tarot cards or oracle cards. Most people suggest Rider-Waite Tarot, but choose a deck that calls to you. I'm partial to the Goddess Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue. (Note: Oracle cards and tarot cards are not exactly the same thing.)
Anything works if you have faith in it.
Be warned! Whenever you get into something like this, you will seek out other people with the same interests. These people could be dangerous, and try to get you involved in a cult. This is true for anything religious--and yes, magic IS tied to a religion. It's called Paganism.
Here are some good links:
http://sophia.smith.edu/asp/ --has some good information for beginners, and some chants/spells.
http://www.angeltherapy.com/ --Don't believe everything this woman says just because she has a Ph.D Mostly, the website is just there to sell you things. But she is the creator of the Goddess deck I mentioned earlier, so I thought it was worth noting.
http://library.thinkquest.org/28111/index.htm --has information on the history of Paganism, and different branches of it.
There are also several books on it. Check your local library and bookstore. Good luck!
